1) Make sure you have at least the 1.27 patch installed. The campaign WILL NOT WORK properly without it.
Specifically, Chapter Three will not load at all.
2) Download the Rise of the Blood Elves Intro cinematic and extract into your Warcraft III/Movies folder.
LINK TO THE CINEMATIC FILE
3) Download the campaign and place into your Warcraft III/Campaigns folder, or My Documents/Warcraft 3/Campaigns
if you have the 1.28 patch.
4) Play the campaign!

In a daring campaign against the Scourge in Northrend, Illidan faced off against the death
knight Arthas in an attempt to destroy the Frozen Throne. However, Arthas defeated Illidan and left him
wounded in the snow, allowing Illidan to witness the creation of the new Lich King.

Kael'thas Sunstrider and Lady Vashj, realising their defeat, brought Illidan with them as they fled back to
Outland. Seeing their master's ugly wounds, they decide to bring him back to the Hellfire Citadel so that
he may recover... but, unbeknownst to them, Outland was in a state of a minor civil war.

Soon after that, tensions rise in the blood elven society as the Grand Magistrix Alessandra Katryne
proposes a dangerous idea: reclamation of their homeland, Quel'Thalas.

- Lowered collision size of almost all units for easier pathing.
- Updated a lot of tooltips.

- Difficulty altered in most maps, harder maps should now be a bit easier.
- Aewynne is no longer controllable in Chapter Eleven (Ten).

Techtree Changes
- Arcane Affinity now reduces magic damage by 25% (was 20%).
- Magic Sentry now instead gives Towers the ability to increase nearby friendly units' mana regeneration.

Hawkstrider Knight
- Requires Sanctuary instead of Spire to be trained.
- Cleave now strikes 25% of damage to nearby enemy units (was 12%).

Sorceress
- Can now once again use Polymorph.
- Can no longer use Illusion.

Arcane Golem
- Resistant Skin is now called Prismatic Barrier and also gives Arcane Golems passive health regeneration.

Blood Knight
- Holy Light heals for 250 hit points (from 125).
- Seal of Protection now lasts 30 seconds (from 25).
- Wings of Retribution increases movement speed and attack rate by 40%. Has a new special effect when cast.

Ballista
- Damage buffed.

Phoenix
- No longer has Spell Immunity. Instead, has a new ability, Spell Resistance, which reduces magic damage taken by 50%.
- Now costs 7 food (from 6).

Kael'thas
- Can no longer use Summon Lava Spawn. Instead, can use Summon Al'ar, which summons Al'ar, a powerful phoenix, to fight alongside Kael'thas.

Alessandra
- Has a new voice. (Valeera from Heroes of the Storm)
- Soulburn has been significantly buffed and now drastically increases Alessandra's attack speed.
- Dark Soul's Voidlord is no longer immobile.

Lor'themar
- Has a new model and a new icon.
- Flames of Retribution no longer does friendly fire. Now costs 75 mana (from 85).
- Blood Cry now affects a larger area. Now costs 50 mana (from 90).
- Can no longer use Dashing Winds. Instead, has a new ability, Living Bomb, which adds extra damage on each attack and causes units that die while under the effect to explode, dealing damage to nearby enemy units.

Liadrin
- Has a new model, a new icon and a new voice.
- Desiccation Aura is no longer visually displayed.

Aewynne
- Paralysing Arrow's range is now 800 (was 600).
- Evergreen now costs 50 mana (from 75).
- Marksmanship has been significantly buffed and now drastically increases Aewynne's attack damage.
- Volley of Arrows no longer does friendly fire.

Sylvanas
- Has a new voice.

Kalecgos
- Has a new voice.
- Abilities are now stronger.

- Lowered all units' collision size, which should make it easier to move units around the map and reduce units getting stuck.
- Fixed a bug in Chapter Twelve which could cause the boss fight to begin at the beginning of the map.

- Fixed a bug in Chapter Nine where you could end the map early by just flying around the map with Al'ar.
- Removed the ability Web from Kil'jaeden in Chapter Twelve which could prevent Kalecgos from executing his triggers.

- Increased Kargath's respawn timer in Chapter Ten.
- Added a new gold mine in Chapter Ten.

- Chapter Ten should be a little easier now.
- Lor'themar's Blood Cry has been buffed. It now lasts for 10 seconds and affects a larger area.
- Prophet Velen has a new model.
- Aurora and Vesper are now the collect colour in the Epilogue.

- Hawkstrider Knight now costs less resources, 3 food instead of 4, and does a little bit more damage.
- Phoenix now attacks a little slower, and can no longer increase its attack from the Blacksmith upgrades.

You should get the latest patch in your search inquiry, simply click and download, and double click the patch after download. It should install automatically.
But please support the companies by purchasing their games if you can afford it. Besides, wc3 doesn't even cost that much anymore.

You should get the latest patch in your search inquiry, simply click and download, and double click the patch after download. It should install automatically.
But please support the companies by purchasing their games if you can afford it. Besides, wc3 doesn't even cost that much anymore.

Riddle of the Future Competition!

As I said in the changelog, Riddle of the Future has been added across multiple maps in Rise of the Blood Elves v.2.1

Now, to explain: in the first map, you will find the main riddle with 3 blank spaces. To solve this riddle, you first need to find the words that go into the blank spaces. These words are found by solving other riddless and puzzles found across other maps.

First person who solves the main riddle will receive a prize: you will be able to create one enemy hero for my 3rd campaign, and give it a couple of lines. And oh yes, once it's solved, I'll reveal something about my 3rd campaign.

I've been told it's pretty hard. So, good luck!

Oh, right! I think I fixed that. I forgot to put it in the changelog.

Anyone who can, can you test the draenei AI?

I can do that... also there's something u might want to know... The dranaei AI worked fine for me during the last update but it only worked before Alessandra and The first portal appeared

This campaign is awsome, save for one thing.....why are the characters that I strove to raise at level 10 throughout an 8 mission long campaign suddenly lvl 1....it makes no sense, lorewise or anything.....if you wanted to have a feel of progression you could just have raised the maximum level cap and have them continue from that point, adding abilities and so on....if you recall even Blizzard in their expansion NE campaign made Tyrande and Malfurion lvl 10 the first level you play with them to represent the fact that they have already grown as characters and to respect the progress that you, the player, have made in the previous game....

[Minor mission spoiler here, nothing major though so I think it's safe for all to read]Also, during the First mission, Illidan's cage seems redundant.....I suggest adding a sense of urgency to the level (it says that he is gravely wounded, after all) and make him slowly lose life, thereby forcing the player to take some risks/make choices along the mission (like helping or not helping those trapped blood elves). As things stand, there is absolutely NO reason to not hold him back behind your forces where he is completely out of danger!....no enemy ambushes that specifically target him like in a caravan mission, no scary, but slow, monster/army that is chasing after Illidan and forcing you to move forward...if you are going to have him there then at least give him a purpose in that mission, as currently there is no way he can feasibly die and he serves no practical purpose whatsoever.

I got a question how do we resolve the riddle , I mean where do we write the words?
Tomoraider i find a bug....In a fight between the blackaxe(allies) clan and the burning fire clan(enemys due to quest log)I casted the spell of Kael and that's consider that the ragebeast clan have converted my enemy due to the blackaxe clan received damage for the fire.

I prefer for them to start at lvl 1. But glad you liked the campaign.

Hmm, well, honestly I think since it's the first mission it's fine the way it is. It isn't supposed to be hard at all. I like the way it is.

Ah, it's cause when you become enemies of the Burning Fire Clan, Blackaxe also become enemies with them, but since you did not ally with Blackaxe until then they became your enemies and Ragebeast also becomes your enemy if you become enemy with Blackaxe.

But i was ally with the blackaxe clan and like they have received damage by Flame Strike , the ragebeast clan have attacked me

You should look into the Farstriders' AI for the Tempest Keep mission. Sometimes they ping and send out an attack wave, then turn back before getting to the pinged point, and sometimes they attack when there's barely anything left to kill. Maybe have them assemble the atttack, but only move when and where you tell them to?

Also, after the first generator is down the counter stops going up, then goes back up again.

The two units called Towers on either side of the keep... is there any point in killing them?

Yeah, the farstrider AI is a little lulzy. And no, those towers are there for just decorations.

A new one: The yellows sent an attack on Tempest Keep and killed Liadrin, but were considered allied or neutral by the purples, and weren't attacked. They only attacked Liadrin and went home, so it was slightly easier to take the keep (I skipped the all-three-generators-killed cutscene, that might have been it).

Very nice campaign! The story, the models, the music, they're brilliant! 5/5

Although i found few minor bugs.

- Siphon Mana - It should do 3 things:
a) drain mana from an enemy and give it to the bloodmage
b) the ability to get mana above your maximum
c) give mana from the bloodmage to allies

Now, a) works all the time, but sadly all 3 components together only work in Chapter 9.
So in other words, b) and c) don't work at all until Chapter 9. A fully working Siphon Mana would be especially useful, since most of the time you have multiple heroes.

- Draenei in Chapter 11. They come in, but don't build or do anything.

And just one suggestion: hotkeys! Especially Aewynne's - her abilities are really nice, but the hotkeys assigned to Paralysing Arrow (i) and Marksmanship (k) are just too far away : P. These could be changed to W and R for example.

Never noticed that about Siphon Mana. I'll check it out.
And yeah, that draenei bug has been here since the beginning. I don't know what causes it, and I don't really know how to fix it.
And maybe I will change hotkeys in the next update, if I do one.
But I'm glad you liked the campaign!

The draenei have worked with me they have done all the job of destroying the bases almost , but they don't help me in the fight with kiljaeden.

I want to ask to solve the riddle what reward is there.

Played the eleven chapter today, when you destroy the orange base in the mark of 18 minutes or near, the Dranei AI works wonky. Maybe is for the first Outland portal who knowns? : D

In the second run with cheats the AI work is outstanding, is cool squash Kael forces in a pincer attack, the AI works with Kill'Jaeden boss fight. The question is if you rush the fight the Dranei wants to mass troops before attack the sunwell room.

There is one leak in the story and that's Maiev. In tFT she entered a portal to Outland but we didn't see her after. I would suggest that in the first chapter you add her corpse someone on the path that Kael must travel through and then he and Vashj get surprised to see a dead night elf in Outland.

Maiev isn't dead, she was imprisoned, and after freed by Akama to defeat Illidan in the Burning Crusade.

What Forsaken said, and also she actually landed the killing blow. So she did slay 'the betrayer' after all. Much to my dislike though, as I really like Illidan. Blizzard said in one con that they would bring Illidan back, eventually.

Yeah, like Forsaken already said, she is not dead, but I didn't have any plans to include her anyway.

Since your campaign was more blood elven oriented and less Illidan/Illdari, it is to be expected.
Maybe sometime in the future I will create an alternate parallel campaign intersecting with this one.. but I wonder if I ever will have that free time..

And Kael should be lvl 10 from the beginning. No logic in starting from lvl 1. After a few chapters I found him having the smallest lvl among blood elf heroes.

I made him lvl 1 for gameplay purposes, since I don't want to increase the level limit.

Just play to chapter 8, you can use the undead units.But But I found that can't use my favorite Necromancer and Meat Wagon.

Thank you Tomoraider for this great campaign. It's simply brilliant, but I have a few remarks:
-The build tooltip for Forsaken guard towers says:"Upgrade to guard tower", that's not right since you build them...
-You didn't give enough explanation concerning the secrets in the early chapters, or maybe that's my fault because I don't know where to look!
-Illidan's Orc warlord in chapter 2 came out of a boat which was in a small pond... How could he get information about the Orc bases from that small blocked pond?
-In the dark dungeon chapter, the quest to kill that green undead guy, the fiends beneath him attacked my troops during the cinematic, what's more weird is that my priests cast inner fire on them... I was like huh? Oh and that chapter is so scary, that was a good thing.
-- Good choice of music. Two steps from hell is my favorite.

N.B.: If you'd let Sylvanas die, I would've come after you with a hatchet! Just saying :p
I'll let you know if I find anything else.
