1) Make sure you have at least the 1.27 patch installed. The campaign WILL NOT WORK properly without it.
Specifically, Chapter Three will not load at all.
2) Download the Rise of the Blood Elves Intro cinematic and extract into your Warcraft III/Movies folder.
LINK TO THE CINEMATIC FILE
3) Download the campaign and place into your Warcraft III/Campaigns folder, or My Documents/Warcraft 3/Campaigns

In a daring campaign against the Scourge in Northrend, Illidan faced off against the death
knight Arthas in an attempt to destroy the Frozen Throne. However, Arthas defeated Illidan and left him
wounded in the snow, allowing Illidan to witness the creation of the new Lich King.

Kael'thas Sunstrider and Lady Vashj, realising their defeat, brought Illidan with them as they fled back to
Outland. Seeing their master's ugly wounds, they decide to bring him back to the Hellfire Citadel so that
he may recover... but, unbeknownst to them, Outland was in a state of a minor civil war.

Soon after that, tensions rise in the blood elven society as the Grand Magistrix Alessandra Katryne
proposes a dangerous idea: reclamation of their homeland, Quel'Thalas.

Great campaign you made here, especially the epic music. I know the music is from WoW, but you must have spent much time choosing the right themes.
The new Blood Elf tech-tree is also really really good, makes me feel just like playing a new race from Blizzard itself.
Once I finish this, I certainly go straight for Curse of the Forsaken campaign, which I've already downloaded.
Thanks for the relaxing time gaming!

On Chapter 7, I find the bound souls and bring them back to the statues, except when I place them on the circles of power, they don't work and I can't progress. I've changed a few of the skins and icons in the campaign, but I can't imagine that that would break any sort of triggers

EDIT: Also, nobody says anything when I'm getting the souls, the dialogue triggers aren't firing and I don't know what I'm doing wrong

Greetings Tomoraider
I noticed in chapter 2 when I get the Fireblade to my clan and after the Ragebeast and Blackaxe become hostile to me
Ragebeast and Blackaxe are not hostile to the Fireblade
I think they are tagged as allies or something
Because I have my troops camped at the Fireblade base and the two clans mentioned above attack me there but don't attack Fireblade and Fireblade do not hit back

Commenting to properly rate, similar to CotF. RotBE was my first foray into WC3 custom campaigns and the it was a big difficulty spike after only playing the vanilla game on Normal. It forced me to be a better player in order to succeed, so I quite appreciated the challenge. The only mission that had me out of sorts was having to destroy Kael's base near the end of the campaign - it began to feel quite grueling having to drop entire armies, get whittled away, then drop another one after already spending a long long time on the map already. Probably my own issue as the intent was probably to transition to Phoenix.

I had an issue with the Draenei AI on the last map, but that appears to be fixed with the latest version, thanks Tomoraider!

Can you reupload the old version of the RotBE? I saw some videos on youtube from that version. I would love to play with it.

Just saw the trailer. Though, I must ask why don't you replace Maiev, Akama and Illidan with new custom models made by our modelers? It'll make the campaign more unique, I think. It's just a suggestion.

Well, you won't have to start from scratch as some dialogues will remain the same.

Thanks for your suggestions, but I do not plan to change any more models (Liadrin and Lor'themar are the only ones that got new models) or any abilities. I think Maiev's abilities are alright since she is only playable for one map.

Still little niffed for not including Haldurion, but who am I to judge, I have a whole "alternate" storyline in my head and my thoroughly detailed intake on the Troll Wars and rise of Stromgarde on paper. Regardless I both unconditionally thank you for updating the campaign and curse you to very special parts of Hell, for putting it during critical work times. Just so you know, the place is reserved for child molesters and people who talk at the theater.

I am excited for the update, going to start playing it right away. From the screens and video provided it looks awesome, great job!

Thank you, hope you'll like it!

I actually though about replacing Aewynne with Halduron, but I've grown too fond of her to replace her. Also, I hope people who listen to music on the bus without headphones are in that part of hell too.

HYPE HYPE HYPE!!!!!! Congrats tomoraider!!!

Thanks! It's basically just tables with lots of pretty pictures.

I know I'm getting really ahead of myself here, but will you do an update like this to Curse of the Forsaken?

I do plan too, but the ideas I have for that are on a bit bigger scale than this, so I'm not yet sure whether I want to do that.

Hello, tomoraider. I played this campaign (the old version) before and it was great, but I never though you will make these changes and upgrade to THIS version and adding a new intro cinematic. I definitely will download it and play it once again because the changes you made, are amazing, really!
Just I want to ask you, if you made a new version for Rise of The Blood Elves, does that mean you will make a new version (like this) for Curse of The Forsaken, in the future?
Because, both campaigns are really incredible and it would be even greater if both campaign were in the latest version.

So far, this is amazingly well made. I have been enjoying first three to four chapters so far, amazing experience. Only thing which bothered me most of the time was the collision sizes/paths being available for my units, because most of the time melee units are getting stuck in groups because of thin passages. Took some extra time preparing the units before encountering enemy troops.

On my behalf, recently I started to love maps/projects where units are smaller and have less collision size, somehow gives the immersion and changes experience to a whole new level. That would be my only suggestion regarding your project, other than that everything is flawless! I hope you continue your good work, and come up with something new or even fictional in future.

Just by re-reading my post right now I figure out it's something like a review, so I hope you'll like it and find some encouragement or ideas for your future actions. Cheers!

Thank you! And I'm still in the process of deciding whether I want to do an update for Curse of the Forsaken, but I mostly likely will.

Thank you, glad you like it. You know, I actually already noticed that it, mostly because units move so much more easily in Starcraft 2, but somehow it did not occur to me to lower the collision size of all the units. I will give this a shot!

Can someone tell me why in Fury of the Sunwell, Kael defeated before Anveena and Kalecgos out, before I reach Lorthemar, and others. I forget, I can't play Burning Crusade cinematic too.

Can you explain more? When exactly did Kael die? Did it just randomly happen, or when you encountered him? Are you using cheats?

As for the cinematic, did you install it exactly how the instructions said?

Happy to hear that, mate. I am almost certain it'll work out for you, thus improving slight suggestions I stated. :)

Kael die after loading screen, so, at the first cinematic of Fury of the Sunwell, Kael scream, and then Kil'jaeden summoned. Kalecgos transform into a dragon and Anveena alone.

Okay, that bug never happened to me, but I think I know why it might have happened. Well, it actually matters less why it happened, I can implement a fix, but I will do that tomorrow.

Not really a big fan of chapter 10. Feels rushed. You should have used Akama model made by PROXY, and actually try to make some unique spells for him and his brethren or just re-use Schlammer's Broken Draenei tech-tree. Same goes for that Night Elven tech-tree. In Shadows of Hatred campaign they had amazing full custom tech-tree. Mother Shathraz should have model from this site. Also that Demon "base". Why Cultists instead of Mo'args? I would also remove Voidwalkers. While Warcloks can summon them in WoW, they are actually not demons.

Hope to see something similar for CotF!

I tried out that model, but I didn't think it fit well with other models. And I didn't add any new abilities or units for Akama and the night elves because I didn't think it was necessary since they only appear in that map. Also I didn't even think of Mo'args, but that's such a minor thing I don't think it matters.

So you updated the rise of the blood elves and now its 3.0 is this really the full version? or there are still more changes in the campgain?

Every version was the full version, I can't know if I'll do any more changes in the future.

Thank you again for your suggestion, I just implemented this, it really does make the gameplay easier! Less units are getting stuck now!

You sir... are amazing! :)

Keep up the excellent work, you deserve these comments of encouragement and cheer! :)

EDIT:

Just downloaded and played the new version... amazing! Much smooth and better movement, more combat efficiency when it comes to units and so on. Awesome work, mate! Thanks for accepting the suggestion as constructive criticism!
