I'm just sayin'... Actually I tough about buildable tower-like object which is invisible and can detect stealthy units...
In the end it will morph in both earth and air. Like Air can move but Earth is stronger? Or better make air scout and earth unit based of Lurker but because warcraft has less detectors it should be visible when attacking. Like spikes from ground piercing poor units.
No attack... Well about towers the first should be not elemental and upgrades should be for each element.
Earth would have high splash attack and maybe ability to go underground to hide os something.
Water would be healing or something aiding unis.
Fire could have phoenix ability to attack many units at same time and burn them.
Wind...maybe we could skip one or give it "Recall" ability but no attack.
The starting tower will be a crystal that turns into the others.
Earth with high splash would be the obvious choice. That is why I don't want to do it, lol. it's just too expected.. I prefer the idea of the zerg tower ability. It isn't necisarily original but I don't think that it has been done for a tower in a warcraft 3 race.
Yes, water will have something similar to the moon well ability.
My idea for the air would be to have the moon glaive type attack. That hits one and moves to another.
Earth then cold auto cast earthquakes? Just change the model of burning oil to Thrall ultimate.
For water I thought more like fountain ability (idea is from Battle for Middle earth) but maybe it shouldn't attack.
Maybe having air casting something is better than just attacking. There wouldn't be much point if all tower just attacked. Better is if you could choose tower with specific ability which could be used to ether aid you or harm enemy. If all towers attacked it would be like Human or undead tower s system.
water tower won't attack. It just heals.
Earth has a high damage anti ground attack.
Air does weak damage but can hit multiple. And can target flying units.
Fire? Maybe a buff?
Better fire to have multiple attack based of phoenix ability (and mainly fire hurts) and air to give buffs.
I suggested recall ability because it kinda would be cool if it would transport units.
Lightning can be combination of fire/wind. Lava is Fire/Earth. Wind/Earth is sand...
Sounds like all that D&D cosmology... we could steal few elements from there...
Lightning is the fifth element. Fire and wind is storm, wind and water is ice, earth and fire is lava, earth and water is... mud and fire and water is steam. And of course sand.
However I belive that combining all four(and fifth sometimes) results life.
