Basshunter. Lol.

Some of them use real instruments from time to time. But I don't know, if they go 100% PC, or use external synthetisers. As for PC programs. Fruity Loops isn't that expensive and it's easy to use. Cubase, Reason are really pro, therefore more expensive. But on a side note, why don't you just fucking google it? Here's a random link I've found after 5 seconds.

Free music software, midi files, mp3s, online music lessons, sheet music, Midi and MP3 players

Most of the pros in just about any music production genre use Protools or Apple's Logic. Also, all of the best production programs are available on Mac, just fyi, and anyone who takes this shit seriously is willing to lay down some money for a Macbook and the software.

This shit isn't cheap, which is why you actually have to 1) Be committed and 2) Not suck ass in order to go through with it.

You wont get far using cracked software no matter how expensive the program is that you steal, because you wont have one fucking clue about how to actually use it.

That's why so many people want to become a rapper, it's so easy.

Just sing-talk about life in da hood and your hos and BAM! Wine-spewing solid golden fountains for you.

TL;DR'd most of this thread.

Akon uses studio equipment, as does Lil Wayne and T-Pain, since they're famous and have gajillions more money than you'll ever have.

If you're rapping, you don't need music in the background, just go for it. Maybe mix up a record or two if you're that determined.

As for basshunter, he uses FruityLoops. He's a red herring, though; he's not a rapper.

EDIT: Just read the basshunter arguments. Here's my two cents:

Basshunter is a sellout. He was great when he released his first couple of albums, then he stuck with the SAME GOD DAMNED BEAT in EVERY SINGLE SONG. Such a tool.

lol. I heard back in 1999(or was it 2000?) Eminem(as much as I like him), got his ass booed off in the Warped Tour(formerly the home of skater-punks/grungers now home of the "Emo" and Christian-Hardcores)

Yeesh. Far be it from me to tell someone they can't do something if they want, but this is just not good. Rap's not your calling in life, and a high dollar synth app won't make you a good rapper.

First of all, Lil' Wayne doesn't make beats. He pays for his beats.
Most of the producers are using FL Studio.
If you need a list of music software here they are:
FL Studio
Reason
Logic
Sony Acid
Sonar (good for mastering)
And that's all what comes in my mind right now.
From what I know about you your "default" language isn't english. You will need a lot of work if you wish to continue rapping in English.
If you wish to learn all the "official rap" language register on hiphop forums and try to battle with people. It will help you a lot.

Sorry if I necroposted.
