Well once I get a story and chapter outlines I can work here and there when ever I have time.

The campaign maps are supposed to be done by Lorewolf and Chaos? If that's the case, why haven't I heard about it? I've been making campaign maps to go with the plot ideas I've been making. I think the people making the plot should make the campaign maps, since we can practically see what everything looks like. Not to say I won't need help making the terrain look more natural, and the triggers to work (especially the really hard and complex one, like heroes and campaign triggers from map to map). I'm only good with basic triggers, and simple cinematic scenes. Heck, I can't even get a unit to cast a spell and have an effect on other units or doodads. Kind of frustrating.

Oh, and I haven't seen any pms or messages about plot ideas. Even if they're random, they could spur me on for other ideas. It's hard being the only person working on the plot.

We were just gonna do the terrain, not the whole map. However, if you're working on them then that is great. When ever you finish I can help by refining the terrain.

Well, if it is not using WoW lore, what would be the source of the plot? I've seen some lore here about invented naga heroes and that, after all naga's are from Azeroth and WoW is not a main lore, WoW is a part of lore, the events, zones, stories all happened before the WoW, WoW takes all stories from the past, yet many lore is created in WoW, the Sundering happened 10000 years ago, the highborne became naga because of the old god.
If it's for the wow lore, it must use the lore of the past and the invention of future. The Outland can be made in campaign, in the Blood Elf campaign, the Vashj naga forces enter outland through the portal and that can be created also in a naga campaign

sacridshadow idea of necromancer does not have anything in common with naga. Mur'gul were affected by Burning Legion and therefore can become necromancers.

Mur'gul necromancers are specialized. Unlike most necromancers, mur'gul necromancers rarely deal with the undead. Instead, they use their magic's power over life forces to debilitate and slay their opponents. They use clubs as weapons.

Well, if we can't use the Warcraft lore, then, we have another source. OUR MINDS. That is why we humans have Creativity. It's not just for select people. So, we can use the same units, names, and terrain tiles, but create an unrelated story. How many campaigns have been created using Warcraft units where the plots were not based anywhere in Warcraft lore? Plenty. So yes, we can use naga, and have it unrelated to Warcraft, or even have it as an expansion upon the warcraft possibilities. Just because it isn't Cannon, doesn't mean we are bound to the current lore.

Animalpower, in Warcraft, necromacy is a form of arcane energy. The naga are very adept at using the arcane. Now, even though we're creating a story (hopefully in a never before seen continent (magically hidden?)) it doesn't mean we can't reference to specific events in the past. The Sundering, for example, could have a significant impact on the magical powers the inhabitants of this continent have. The Necromacy may be specific to a cult, as magic isn't race specific. Anyone can become a druid, shaman, warlock, or mage. The same goes for necromacy. Now, what they have in Warcraft is just for gameplay mechanics, otherwise everything wouold be the same, except for racial abilities.

I do seem to have a lot of magic examples and varieties in the plot I'm creating, so we'll see where we can take this.

And as e've discussed before, we don't want to focus on what's canon. That would require knowing everything about warcraft, and how everything effects everything else.

Sacrid - Storyline (and Var? He seems to be good at that plots aswell.)
Me and Lore-Wolf - Terrain/cinematics
VeljkoM - Trigger/object editor
Misha - Models.
From page 175. Though its not really accurate, I mean Var is modeler to and so are you sacrid.

Oh and wow didn't really make any real lore. More is from novels anyway. And we already agreed campaign will be set on new continent. Oh and reason why I haven't send any pm cuz well I forgot and not sure if I am person to talk about story. I'll be thoug happy to make campaign units and AI for campaign.

lol Misha, there are a lot of ideas, and not all have been useful, but they help us see the possibilities out there, what we could do if we went in other directions. With Animalpower's anti necromancer arguement, I've been able to create such a character with a semi convicing plot. So, while you and others may not like what he's saying in his multiposting (not that that's a problem), I find it useful, though it wouldn't hurt if he focused a little more on the plot we're doing. Two more days and I'll be free for a couple weeks. Got bootcamp ALL summer, then possibly technical training school ALL fall and part of winter. DX But I'll have internet during the tech school part. Can't say I'll be able to do any mapping or plot, but we'll see when we get there. (And I was hoping to have a summer.)

I am lazy to use viewer to view models so I upload them straight to the map. Besides I will import the updated version when it comes.

For now I really like tier 2 but tier 3 looks rather intimidating and rotation looks good but shouldn't it rotate as work animation and not always?

*gulp* did I say there is a problem? I see no animation problem. Anyway seriously model is great and I don't see reason for it being unapproved.

Also map makers aren't limited by hive standards when it comes to importing resources in to their maps. Its creators choice what models he wants in his map. So we can use sacrids and vars unapproved models if we want to.

lol I'd love to have my armored wolf in the campaign. Heck, give it to the raiders, or have a wild pack (magic affected them in a different way than normal). I really wish I had a summer vacation, then I could continue making maps and plot. But alas, it'll have to be put on hold. Hopefully, we'll have all the models by the time we're back.

Should note that after the boot camp, we're going to technical training school, so we'll have internet, but a ton of studying to do, so we won't be able to be on much. and that'll last to a week or two before Christmas. If we're lucky.

lol As much as I'd love to do them myself, I may have to do that. But fortunately, we won't be leaving for a month or two. depends when they have openings and all that.

I've got a bunch of models I want to use for specific characters, so I'll have to conjure up a list for that too. lol

When we come back, I'll see if I can edit or add to the maps, but for now, I'm fitting as much time as I can into all the things I like. But bootcamp is ALWAYS on the front of my mind.

Well all depends. I can make reversed brilliance aura or reserved fountain of mana. I could see if I can add somehow fairy dragons auto mana burn that strikes with each casting. Or to add feadback damage but that means building should attack and would only effect attacked unit.

Well, I have great news! Var and I will not be leaving for bootcamp during the summer. Instead, it'll be Semptember or August, which means we'll be able to continue. XD

For the building, I think we should just give it an aura effect. It should be pretty easy to have some sort of blue fire effect on enemy spellcasters in range of the aura. It doesn't mean it has to shoot, like the undead Black Citadel. For that matter, it could be an upgrade, like the human's sentry ability or the Orc's spiked barricades. All towers and the main building.

By the way would it really be useful and cost efficient? By the time player reach tier 3 he will have enough resources to have proper army and would probably spend more time attacking. This mana drain aura is defensive thing and only for one building so it doesn't really need to be that hard to get otherwise you wouldn't even need it.

Anyway I suggest either upgrade in main building but reachable before tier 3 or to player get it when he reaches tier 3 without additional cost.
