Err, yours was an attachment. His was a unit with a complete set of animations and a custom made texture+particles and an awesome death animation.

I liked your model but I was mostly judging by who put their 128 triangles to best use. You chose to do a model that normally would have a triangle count similar to that so that's why.

Yeah, but most public doesn't read what the concept of the contest is. And would just vote on the best looking one.

I didn't want to do public votes because the judging was supposed to be quick - unfortunately it didn't turn out that way, but hey it's our first modeling mini-contest
