Showing her you care and are concerned and interested in her, spending time with her, making her know how much you appreciate her, that is what helps. Even that does not solve everything, but it is a big part of it.
Tax: Yes, people can grow to "hate" each other over time. I do not like that word tho as it is very negative and most people do not understand the depths of its meaning. A common thing that happens is that the personality quarks of a certain person begin to irritate the other party involved, and if not resolved soon begins to fester and eventually causes the second person to "explode" due to pent up rage. This can happen with even close friends who spend an excessive amount of time together, such as room mates. Most often this is the reason why children do not like their siblings until after one or several have left the parents household.
