General

Evolve is a survival map which offers a plenty of unique features, fun gameplay, and great-looking terrain. You will play as one of the six unfortunate souls. Survive against all odds and become a winner! You must Hunt, Survive, and Evolve.



Synopsis
"Every year there are games hosted to appease the Beings of the lands, 6 unfortunate souls are thrown into an arena which skirts have been bloodied and destroyed from the battles of the previous games, but the center of it contains neither corpses nor blood as the retched denizens that populate the space have licked it all clean. The cycle shall repeat itself and the god shall gift who they see fit, as the contestants battle it out with sword, magic and all the trickery they can seem to muster just to have a chance at their survival..."

Features

  • Potential
    The character will start at the caterpillar stage and as he gains more experience in battle, he will evolve through the remaining two stages of each character (cocoon and butterfly stage). Each evolution is unique for each character!
  • Last Wind
    When your character's health is close to the breaking point and is out of combat for 5 seconds, he will get an increased HP regeneration.
  • Special Events
    Some kind of events often happen in the created world of Voltas unexpectedly, things like random weapon drops will be indicated to all contestants and much more. This will greatly reward the players!

Looks promising. Terrain seems nice too. Does it have AI or is it only multiplayer ?

I agree with Chaosy. I'm glad I stumbled across this one. It sounds like a good idea (although it reminds me of The Hunger Games)

Also the terrain looks very nice so far. I'll be checking in from time to time.

Sorry guys for the inactivity, we've been really busy. Well it looks like its going to be a 2 man project, cause some members arent in to it. Its currently me and Rheiko(systems) and me terrains. Will hope to update this thread with some new terrains and hopefully system by the end of this week.

Hey guys good luck! :) hope you can continue this one.

You should implement the possibility to play this in coop...
Yah that could be a possible, for like when you dont have enough players for a full fledged game you can play a mode where you just go around the map tackling objectives. I've set some areas for bosses you can defeat for good loot. But in that mode the creeps and bosses will probably be buffed for more of a challenge.

I put alot of hours into Evolve via steam. This looks interesting & I'm curious as to what direction you're going in. The terrain looks too peaceful though & due to the lack of description I can't make up for what your future plans are. I'm more interested on what features you're going to be using there isn't much listed.

About the terrain, I've never really been good at making trouble stricken terrains. But the features will be made clearer sometime next week, we are still contemplating on features but further information will be released soon. And thanks for the comment!
