OVERALL CHANGES

- All maps now have new loading screen art.
- CGI cinematics have been removed, they are replaced by their ingame counterparts. (CGI cinematics didn't seem to work for a lot of people before, and patch 1.30 broke them completely for me. Ingame cinematics, however, work for everyone. I will re-add CGI cinematics in the future if I figure out a way to make them work.)
- Most maps have received balance updates to normal and hard difficulty. Normal should overall be easier while hard should be harder. (Normal and hard were very close in difficulty in v3.0. Normal should no longer feel like you're playing on hard, but some maps will remain challenging as they were intended to be. Hard should now feel much harder than normal.)
- Friendly AI Heroes will no longer drop items.
- Aimed Shot, Arcane Barrage, Blood Plague, Blood Plague Corpse Explosion, Consecration, Divine Storm, Divine Purpose, Enraged Regeneration, Frostbolt, Piercing Shot, Revive, Ring of Frost, Sniper Aim, Taunt, Unholy Protection and War Banner sound effects can no longer be heard globally. (Varian's mapwide AAAAAaaaaaGgggHHHHHH is gone, rejoice!)
- Lots of minor changes, such as fixing typos, changing tooltips, bug fixes, etc.

UNIT AND HERO CHANGES

- Dark Ranger - Black Arrows and Poison Arrows now also increase Dark Rangers' attack range by 75. Dark Rangers can now have a maximum of 650 Attack Range. (From 500) (Dark Rangers become too frail in later chapters, this change gives them some additional survivability.)
- Dreadguard – Now has 500 Hit Points (From 600). Siphon Life now converts 35% of damage done back to life. (from 50%) (Dreadguards are too durable with all their upgrades, these changes will make them less so.)
- Banshee – Using Possession on worker units now once again allows you to construct their buildings.
- Meat Wagon - Forsaken Plague no longer deals friendly fire. Also changes Meat Wagons' missile to a cloudy green projectile. (Forsaken Plague is a fun ability, but was not worth using due to its friendly fire.)
- Abomination Outbreak now allows Abominations to afflict a target enemy unit with a deadly plague that festers inside the target, dealing 5 damage per second for 30 seconds. If the afflicted unit dies while under the effect of Outbreak, four Maggots will spawn from its corpse. Also stores maggots inside the Abomination's body that crawl out to fight after its death. Now unlocks in Chapter Ten.
- Royal Laboratory – New upgrade available: Fortified Defenses (50 gold/250 lumber, requires Dark Castle), which upgrades Guard Towers, Coil Towers and Virulent Towers so that they have fortified armor. Unlocked in Chapter Ten.
- Vampire Bats, Black Spiders and Maggots are now classified as undead. (This change is so these units can also be healed by Putress' Elixir of Death.)
- Vrykul units and buildings have new icons.
- Unholy Aura now once again affects mechanical units.
- Gan'arg Engineer's selection circle should no longer fly above his head.
- Dreadlord Jaina has a new model.

CHAPTER ONE – A Necessary Intervention

- The Scarlet Crusade Keep from the first base now drops a Tiny Shadowhall.

CHAPTER SEVEN – Into the Frozen Heart of Northrend

- Blood Elves now have a gold mine and a shipyard.
- Blood Elf units now require upgrades to unlock all of their abilities.
- Tiny Shadowhall, Tiny Crypt and Tiny Graveyard are now dropped by the buildings in the first Scourge base.
- Enemy AI should no longer bug and stop attacking.
- Orange AI can now also attack Blood Elves.
- Purple AI can now attack you if you expand to the Orange AI's goldmine. Purple AI will also attack Blood Elves if all Forsaken bases are destroyed.

CHAPTER EIGHT – Azjol-Nerub

- Azjol-Nerub terrain updated, certain paths have been closed off and the way up to Anub'arak is now linear. There are some new encounters and traps and Anub'arak can no longer be reached earlier than intended. Fire traps before Anub'arak are no longer deadly.
- Side Quest revamped. You now have to find three parts of a key to open the way gate. The way gate has also been moved to a new location.
- Signet of the Traitor King is now acquired from the side quest.
- Nerubian burrow attacks in Azjol-Nerub now happen a little less often.
- Ice Rocks now have less health.

CHAPTER TEN – Hour of the Forsaken

- Not doing the side quest should no longer bug the Blood Elf AI, they will destroy the gate leading there themselves.

CHAPTER ELEVEN – Trial of Monsters

- Lich King respawn timer has been increased and is shorter depending on difficulty.

CHAPTER TWELVE – Fall of the Lich King

- All Obelisks should now get disabled properly.
- Twin Val'kyr no longer fly around, instead the additional val'kyr units simply spawn, so the fight no longer bugs.
- Sindragosa boss fight should no longer bug.
- Alexstrasza can now die during the Sindragosa and Lich King boss fights.
- Alexstrasza now resurrects all Heroes before the Lich King boss fight.

Known Issues
- If Quel'Delar is moved to a different spot in the inventory, its abilities
disappear. Drop it and pick it up again to fix the issue.
- Targeting circles fly above the ground in Chapter Six.
- A few sound effects can be heard mapwide.
- Sound effects that are ripped directly from WoW videos sometimes
may not be completely synced with the cinematic.
- Bolvar's Wave of Light special effect is invisible in Chapter Eight.

i thought of a story to forsaken campaign where a rebeld death knight who broke free, from lich king's control and he join's sylvanas and her forces to exact revenge on the lich king. And during the story, this death knight slowly becomes something more for the banshee queen. Of course it's just an idea, and i was wondering what you guys think about this idea on campaign.

I think i found something.
In Fall of the Lich King, Quel'Deler have no spells. Maybe before too, i don't know as i gave it to Lor'Themar...
In a way, I really feel sorry for Silvanas. I kinda start to kinda hate Jaina too.
She is a...
And Varian is the character I hated for first sight, and i will always hate.
Those two sonof a... s made Vereesa doubth her sister because of something she had nothing to do with.

Found a bug, when i skip Anubrak fighting cinematic all units are pause so I have to start again

Thanks for mentioning that, I'll fix it.

That's intended. She can't do anything while she is channeling Malefaction. Units that are in the could cannot attack and cast spells.

Yousef, thanks for mentioning that dialog mistake again. I have no idea how I missed it. And I'm not sure if Chapter Eleven is that hard. I never had any problems at all with it. In fact, I found it too easy so I made it harder.
Well, when I finished the chapter, I felt its too easy since I have chosen Thrall and Vereesa, summons (and totems :D) only and heroes handled bosses.

I have only one complain about that 5th mission which to many people is hard as hell - Why Garrosh is SO FAT?! He always get stucked everywhere. Not like the rest of the heroes. Hell! I think he is even fatter then Cairne! How many times he got killed becouse he could not go where the rest of heroes could. Was he on the start of WOTLK the same size like Thrall? Searously! That fatso need a diet or something!

Now that you mention it, I just checked and his collision size is bigger than everyone else's, lol. I'll need to fix that.

I found something, I'm not sure if that's a bug, before we enter in Anub'arak's chamber, there's two Rolling Doors (I don't know if I spell it right...) I got curious and destroy them, but I've won, it shows the final cinematic, where Varian, Thrall and Garrosh are leaving Azjol-Nerub, and I completed the map. Again, I don't know if that's a bug.

Not a bug. Thrall says when you enter that room that you can leave now or fight anub'arak. Anub'arak is a side quest anyway. If you don't kill him, then he appears later again in one map. :) Same goes for Sindragosa and Lana'thel.

if i may ask, How can i open the gate at echoes of the past? i already activated the lever but it still didnt open. help pls.

There is two levers.

If you bring Lor'Themar with you for the last mission his Barrack gives 12 extra food...
I suppose it is 'cuz of it's purpose as a "town hall" in the prev missions.
I hope I could be of some help.

Hey Tomo I am sorry if I my comments came off as annoying, but I want to say I love the campaign, I am already half way through, and I have to admit, you did so much great work with the cinematics and the characters, and improving an already great story. I hope to release a review by today or tomorrow. :)

I do plan to be fair in my review and not complain too much about the little things.

I thought I fixed that too. Oh well, I'll do an update for all these things reported so far tomorrow.

Oh, no, you're not annoying, I like hearing people's comments, as long it's not rude, and don't worry, yours is not. I'm really glad you like the campaign. :)

So I've tried out this revamped version of Curse of the Forsaken and I have to say that for the most part I rather liked the revamped. The flow of the story did become neater and new missions were pretty fun. Though my favorite part of this campaign mission wise was how the original missions were changed in fun and interesting ways by giving us new heroes to play with, Garrosh was an interesting hero to play and I liked playing with Darkclaw more than once. Now story wise I felt that the Lich King plot of your campaign did become stronger.

Meanwhile when Varian and Jaina began the whole not trusting Sylvanas thing the way it went about made me suspect that they was going to be an additional level in which Sylvanas fights against the Alliance. At the same time the way Darkclaw not living up to his word by fighting against Varimathras when he returned was odd, considering he was presented as honorable and the fact that Sylvanas didn't confront him about it was surprising. So I just feel safe at assuming that those are sequel hooks, whose plot may be picked up in the future.

Now as strong as your campaign was it did have a weak point and it was the Phaelynne story line. Don't get me wrong it had it's cool moments with Varimathras, but her whole story is basically being under Varimathras's control and then becoming the Jailer of the Damned. After all the first mission she's in she becomes Varimathras's puppet, the next one has her freed and helps kill Balnazzar but the Interlude "The Demon Within" implies that either she was still under Varimathras control or could be controlled from a distance based on how she is the first one to speak and greets Varimathras as Lord Varimathras.

Then her second case of freedom comes about because Varimathras decided that she seemingly wasn't needed anyone, which is followed by Varimathras deciding to reuse and gain control of her after Phaelynne loses her battle of wills with him. We then find out that Varimathras basically turned Phaelynne into a gate way that allowed him to escape the Twisting Nether for as long she lives. As such when she becomes the Jailer of the Damned, I'm just left wondering when Varimathras is going to use his anchor to get back into Azeroth and then unleash the Scourge against us.

As such if you want to have Phaelynne be the Jailer of the Damned I think it would be a good idea to have Varimathras die in the Battle of the Undercity and then replace him with Detheroc (if Balnazzar lived, why not him too), who has shown mind control powers with Garithos, and thus when he dies in Icecrown...all three brothers are dead and players will feel more confident about Phaelynne being the Jailer of the Damned.

Now I did find some bugs in your campaign and I even found a solution, of sorts, for one of them. Well here they are, along with a suggestion:
*In Chapter 4 after Varimathras betrayed me, I was able to enter Dalaran and the Kirin Tor were invulnerable and hostile to me. (Only found out because I was curious to see if anything would activate the Forsaken entering Dalaran.)
*In Chapter 5 the intro and end scene were somehow merged together and overlapping one another. So when the mission did begin I instantly won after about 30-40 seconds.
The solution I found for this was to quit the campaign in Ch. 6 and then select Ch. 5 in the mission menu screen, which fixed the problem for me.
*In Ch. 9:
**The Alliance Meeting, Sylvanas section, and the Phaelynne being put under Varimathras control scenes were merged together and made it hard to follow along a bit and led to some odd moments. For example the High Elf unit tells Sylvanas about Vereesa being captured and the next scene I see is Vereesa talking to Jaina and Varian.
**When Sylvanas remarks that Phaelynne has gone missing and doesn't know where she is, Phaelynne voice comes out of nowhere to warn her about Sindragosa.
**While I did rescue Vereesa within the 10 minutes provided, just barely, I did not complete the other main quest about killing the Vyrkul and yet the mission ended after rescuing Vereesa.
Suggestion: Increase the time limit from 10 minutes to a higher number like maybe 30 minutes? That way people could have time to do the optional quest and other main quest instead of focusing on rescuing Vereesa.
*In Ch. 11:
**Phaelynne has dialogue in the intro scene, which no one reacts too.
**The Shaman Units did not have bloodlust, even though all of the other units had their all of their moves.
**When Varimathras was killed his items did not drop like Phaelynne's did. Which did add to my feeling of Varimathras unleashing the Scourge against us in the future.

Chapter 5 is very hard, even maybe too hard.
In chapter 5 where you fight vs demon general you should do something with terrain near Undercity. You can scout it with gargoyles and theres nothing, just green tillset, even more, with gargoyles you can enter Undercity and see Phaelynne scout it before killing generals. maybe make air restriction on that map?

I second this. Can anyone who' past chapter 5 give us tips?

I remember when i played the 1.0 version, i just tried to destroy some of those crypts and slaughterhouses right away using the thrall's earthquake skill, then teleporting the f-ck out right before i get overwhelmed. That did the trick to crippling their next wave as they didn't seem to care to rebuild those lost buildings. But in this version (v2.0), they learned to rebuild them back (I say good for tomoraider for fixing this), but it made it really f-cking hard for me now.

Although it's still possible to do it (without cheats), i think tomoraider should still reduce the difficulty. Chapter 5 is too early for that kind of difficulty.

I loved this campaign! Especially how you made half the campaign the siege of Northrend. But I did find quite a few glitches/errors. I am also unsure if any of the issues have been found and called for by others.

Chapter 1
- The enemies gather 10 gold per second (I'm not sure if that was intentional)
- Very difficult since the enemies attack so frequently from all the openings.
- All units are Undead, but you have to manually buy that Skull, and place the Blight, because the buildings dont provide Blight, just so my units could heal (Goes for every mission).
- Why do the Towers take so long to build! (It might just be me though)

Chapter 2
- No major issues

Chapter 3
- The last base was incredibly hard. I'm a decent player, but even three groups of units couldn't handle it.
- I won because I exposed a glitch.
- I used Possession on the final bases' builder, then I was able to produce Dragon Roosts and those overpowered Dragons.

Chapter 4
- I was able to use a Scroll of Town Portal I had saved from the last mission, then have all my heroes at Sylvanas' base. (I'm a sneaky bee)

Chapter 4
- You tease me with a shop, but no additional gold, after the starting gold, to buy additional items :(
- Too often did my heroes get trapped by their own allies, then killed.

Chapter 5
- Incredibility difficult! Maybe tone down the frequency of attacks a tad. But on a side note: I loved this mission revamp the most.

Chapter 6
- You sure love making your missions difficult, don't you? It was hard. But fun nonetheless.
- No room at the expo spot for the Haunted Hall.

Chapter 7
- I accidentally gave the hilt of the sort to the mage guy, thinking I was suppose to. Maybe remove his inventory.
- Arthas' bodyguards were so lame, kinda hoping for a more interesting fight.

Chapter 8
- no major issues

Chapter 9
- no major issues.

Chapter 10
- For once, it was a bit too easy. Arthas was left by himself, and got destroyed. That frozen thing inside the gates didn't even seem to gave any effect on my units.

Chapter 11
- no major issue

Hey Tomo just fyi, during the final battle with Arthas while your heroes are lying face-down after the Lich King put them at his mercy, and can't do anything, Arthas will attack and kill your units instead of standing still while giving his speech, I had to use cheat codes just to prevent my heroes from getting killed unfairly. Could you please fix that in the next patch?

Curse of the Forsaken Hallowed Edition Review:

I have to say I am happy to have finally finished such a great campaign, which manages to significantly improve the original in many ways. I also wanted to apologize in advance since I don't have access to my review of Curse of the Forsaken 1.0 I can't compare all of the aspects of both the new and old version but I will try to mention as much as I can.

Story: 5/5
I rarely give campaigns a 5/5, especially for story which is the hardest aspect of a campaign to perfect. But honestly, I can't say that there is anything wrong with the story, even though I would have liked to known more about how Balnazzar inflitrated the Scarlet Crusade, or why Thrall would so easily accept the Forsaken into the Horde, or it doesn't matter in the overall story of the campaign. The characters are well developed, the plot twists are interesting, the character interactions perfectly suit their personalities. The storytelling also improved through the beautifully well shot cinematics, I was totally in awe seeing Sylvanas look back on her life, especially during her time in limbo. I even felt sympathy for Phaelynne even though we never true to get to know her in the story. What makes the campaign so great is that it's about Sylvanas's and Veressa's story, and the campaign never loses focus from that. Tomo, you and your friend did a great job writing the story, I give it two claws up.
(Also if you like to give fan service, please add Tirion Fordring in the next patch, :))

Triggers and A.I 4.5/5
Though there are glitchy triggers like how the Lich King constantly wails on you while your lying face-down during the Final battle at Icecrown, or how my heroes constantly get stuck in corners because of the dumb A.I, the beautiful cinematics, cutscenes, and other triggers, help make the story and gameplay feel seamless. Best of all, the Nerubian burrow tactic isn't as annoying as it was in the older version. Still, even with the glitchy triggers, the great cinematics and cutscenes make up for those faults.

Modifications 4.5/5
I love the new models for the Forsaken faction, everything from the buildings to the workers, just screams Forsaken. Also the Undead Blood elves look really cool, I know they have a name, Sal something but I just like thinking of them as Undead Blood elves. Also the demon generals look really bad ass with their new models, the Spider demon and Maleficent's models really stand out in my mind especially. The Vrkyul also look great. a The only reason why this isn't a 5/5 is because I still think some of the Forsaken units need new models to make them stick out compared to their Scourge Counterparts like the Banshee's and Abominations.

Difficulty and Balancing 4/5
I will say this, the only missions I had trouble with were Missions 5,6,7 and 11. Even though I did complain about Chapter 1's difficulty, one can easily spam towers and the mission becomes a hundred times easier. As for all the other missions, they all seem pretty balanced, I am an average RTS player, I don't do too much micro management, but even some of the more frustrating missions like Chapter 10, can be pretty easy as long one has patience. My advice Tomo would be to reduce the rate at which enemy sends waves, it was annoying for me to build towers over and over again because I was trying to stall for time until my army was ready to attack a base, and even then I would sometimes be on my last penny considering gold mines can't provide infinite resources. Or add a difficulty setting in which the number of enemy bases you have to attack in a mission can be determined by the level of difficulty in a campaign. I am sure there are players out there who would agree with me on this topic. Still the campaign is very balanced, even more balanced than it's older counterpart, and if you can get past some of the harder missions, you feel all the more proud of yourself for getting that far.

Textures and Environments 5/5
I love the environments, from the forests of Lordaeron to the Frozen Throne, it all looks just so epic and beautiful. From trees, to modded doodads, everything looks epic in scale and detailed.

Side Notes:
I am sorry if this might come off as lazy, but for those who wanted to know about my initial thoughts of some of the missions that I haven't already mentioned, you can look at my previous comments on the forum.

Overall 23/25
The highest rating I ever given a campaign, and fairly so. The characters, the story, the cinematic, the gameplay, it just all blends together into a fantastic narrative about a Banshee Queen trying to have her revenge while also coping with her mortality and ego, I barely even mentioned the side stories involving Sylvanas's sister Veressa and Jaina, even Varian Wyrnn gets some character development. Tomo I have to say your a genius, managing to tell the story of Sylvanas and the Wrath of the Lich King expansion in a Warcraft 3-esque style. I am so pumped to see the new Shadow of Blood, and if you need any play testers, just let me know. Most of all, keep on doing what you do best, making fantastic character driven campaigns that make players rethink how they see events and characters portrayed in the Warcraft Universe.

Peace out!

Thank you all.

X59, glad you liked the changes. Thanks for reporting all those bugs, I'll fix them today (dunno why the cinematic overlaps happened, though). And about the Phaelynne storyline, she finally managed to break free in the last map and Sylvanas actually killed her long enough to manage to finally kill Varimathras. I do agree it's not the best explained part of the story, but I do think it's alright. And yes, I do have some plans for Darkclaw in a sequal, but it's not 100% certain if I'll use him.

Hmm, well, if you all feel Chapter Five is too hard, then I'll make it easier.

Formidable10, awesome review! Really glad you liked the story, it's the most important part of the campaign to me. And the Vereesa and Sylvanas plot point is my favorite one. Also, not sure why the LK bug happened. Never happened to me... but I'll check it out.

Micha17, they appear again in Chapter Ten. Perhaps you finished it too quickly for her to appear? Or maybe I accidently made a bug.

Anyway, thank you all for reporting all the bugs so far, I'll have them fixed today. :)

Bug report:
- Summon more Ziggurats to continue unit production.
- First map: If I skip cinematic after destroy all Scarlet outposts, then that cinematic show up again and can't skip.

Suggest:
- Change Garrosh level 6 skill. It is not good as Tauren aura and it require mana.
- When Verresa and Sylvanas use their arrow skill, their locket attack effect doesn't work, it is a bit odd I think (a bit useless)

Sorry for bad English

Ok, I've started "A Rallying Point" and while Jaina, Garrosh and Thrall are talking, I randomly recieve message that Sylvanas died. What is that?

EDIT: I've started it again and also got MAIN QUEST COMPLETE message for quest counterattack.

Another thing. Is Kirin Tor suppose to do anything? They just stand there, and nothing related to them happends during the 3rd chapter.
