Here is my short review:

The End of the Curse
-The fight didn't feel so exciting for me, just a few special effects.
-More camera movement needed.

Haunted Goldmine
+Funniest part was when the mine guard jumps in but the cinematic wasn't so funny.
-More camera movement.
-The terrain was a bit too empty at least in the beginning.

Deserted Revenge
-Just like the first cinematic this battle didn't feel so exciting either.
+Cooler special effects.

Awesome Robbery
+Nice music.
+Good use of special effects.
-Not much camera movement.

Orc ED
-Only way to exit is to press alt+F4.
-This cinematic was not exciting, also I thought the hammer orc was not supposed to die and the battle was just normal attacking.

Dwarf vs Naga
-I didn't like the ending and the cinematic did not catch my attention.

The Premonition
-I think the beginning part is useless, could have been used for more battle time.
+Good battle camera movement.
+The falling rocks impressed me.

Short Cinematic
-It was really short.
+Funny.
-Propably least effort was used for this cinematic.

Tainted Trial
+Nice camera movement in the beginning.
+Nice music.
-Not so special ending.

The Escape
+Original idea.

Here is my order for the cinematics:
1. The Premonition
2. The Escape
3. Tainted Trial
4. Awesome Robbery
5. Deserted Revenge
6. The End of the Curse
7. Dwarf vs Naga
8. Haunted Goldmine
9. Short Cinematic
10. Orc ED

So The Premonition gets my vote this time. It was hard to make that list as some cinematics were quite even. Top four cinematics were the ones I somewhat liked.

- Insane
- Really insane!
- Funny!
5/10

My results

Hello everyone, here's my results about the cinematics:

Remember: I don't want to be any rude to anyone. This is only my own opinion. So if someone is disappointed to my results, don't blame me. It's only my own opinion.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The End of the Curse by UchihaSasuke.gr

I like:
+ The terrain was good
+ I like the sky

I don't like/Suggestions/repairs:
- Memory leaks
- They just teleported... and effect... and teleported... and died...
- Camera was bad

End results: It was nice terrain and I really liked the sky. However you should put some more cameras and the fight was just teleporting and attacks.

3/5, average

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Haunted Goldmine
Just_Spectating

I like:
+ It was funny at the end, when they jumped to the cave

I don't like/Suggestions/repairs:
- The cameras was not so good
- I didn't like voice acting

End results: Honestly I have to say that I didn't like this cinematic. The voice acting was not good and I don't prefer warcraft 3 voice acting, because every time it sucks. That is why music is better. Well, at least you had one good part: the end when they jumped to that gold mine(or it was cave?).

2/5, Not so good

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Deserted Revenge by HINDYhat

I like:
+ Nice battle effects, especially when the opponents did same time that effects and then some flame strikes
+ The battle was funny and good, at least in my opinion

I don't like/Suggestions/repairs:
- You spend too much time at the beginning
- Come on, the battle was just starting! I wanna see more!
- I think you just made half of the cinematic...
- Always that boring blizzard music
- Nothing really special

End results: Beginning was little boring and the fighters' models was not good. I would prefer better models. However when they started to fight it was really interesting. But then the cinematic end...

3/5, average

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Orc ED by kmatt

I like:
+ At first it was interesting...

I don't like/Suggestions/repairs:
- ... but when the battle start it was terrible
- Alt f4 was the only way to quit

End results: At first it was interesting. You putted some good cameras but you should also make them move. The fight itself was awful: they were just attacking each other until I pressed alt + f4.

1/5, bad

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dwarf vs Naga by Restor

I like:
+ Nice end! Best end so far!
+ I was in the naga's side and he won, yuhuu!

I don't like/Suggestions/repairs:
- First it was little confusing

End results: First it was little confusing and the aiming was good idea. I really liked when the naga won.

3/5, good

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Premonition by Waldbaer

I like:
+ The cameras was good
+ The battle was fine, jumping was nice
+ The rock thing was something new

I don't like/Suggestions/repairs:
- The gnoll won
- Not so much speaking
- Terrain was not so good
- Where is the music? Didn't hear any
- Too much credits! You should done everything by yourself!

End results: The cameras were "slippery" so it made the cinematic live. The beginning was little boring. I didn't hear any music(too low maybe?) and terrain wasn't anything special. I liked when the gnoll jumped and the stone thing. However, gnoll died! Buu!

4/5, good

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Clone by Thrikodius
Protected map, too lazy to watch.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Short Cinematic by Kitabatake

I like:
+ Hell funny
+ Almost died because I laugh so much
+ The most entertainment so far
+ In my opinion, you don't need to put hours to cinematic to make it sooo good, you can win with simple one too, if it is entertainment like this. I have a example: There is movies that are far better than Hollywood movies, even if they are only made by little money.

I don't like/Suggestions/repairs:
- Can't say any suggestions or anything because it was so so short

End results: It was funny and entertainment, but you must made it less than hour and you have not go deep into the cinematic. That is why I'm sorry but I'm not going to vote for you. I will vote someone, who has really go deep into the cinematic and spend some time making it.

4/5, good

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tainted Trial by Nbah

I like:
+ Nice undead models, did you made them by yourself?
+ The camera at the beginning was awesome! The best!
+ When the other undead start to move with teleports or something was nice

I don't like/Suggestions/repairs:
- The battle itself was not so good
- Too big, 4.6 mt for 1 minute? Are you crazy? I prefer 1 mt maximum...

End results: At the beginning the cinematic look awesome. The cameras was really awesome at the beginning. Congratulation for that! I tough that this was the best cinematic I would see. However, the battle was not so good. The models are good and the terrain was okay. If the battle was better, I would give 5/5!

4/5, Good

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winter's Veil by Jaakko

I like:
+ I liked the terrain and doodads, good job Jaakko with that!
+ You have some nice actions
+ I liked when the ice thing dropped from the sky
+ The end was bit usually, but very well made

I don't like/Suggestions/repairs:
- The beginning(about 10) sec, should been putted to fight
- Not much speaking
- Too much credits! You should done everything by yourself!

End results: The battle arena was the best of all. It was very nicely made, congratulation for that. The battle was okay, I was on the CL's side and he won. The beginning was little slow and cameras were okay.

4/5, good

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Escape by ragingspeedhorn

I like:
+ The Escape cinematic seems to be made well, but honestly I have to say that I didn't understand cinematic at all

I don't like/Suggestions/repairs:
- Ehh? Too strange
- Loading screen is too dark
- Almost everything is too dark, and I don't feel any scared, maybe you should put better music or something...
- Honestly I have to say that I didn't understand this cinematic at all

End results: It was too strange for my eyes. Don't ask me why, it just was. I look triggers and other things and it seems like you have done your cinematic well.

3/5, average

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

End results: I didn't give anyone 5/5. It is very hard me to find 5/5. However. Dwarf vs Naga have best end. The Premonition have best fight. Short Cinematic was the funniest. Tainted Trial have best models and the beginning was the best. Winter's Veil have best terrain. I would give all of those vote but because I cannot. I will give to Tainted Trial my vote. It have some potential.
NOTE:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE:

1) Jaakko has advantage: his cinematic is the latest map resource who has been approved. Someone should change it immediately.

2) There is some votes, but I do not see any comments. Bob27, you are going to remove those votes if there is no text?

+ Good use of effects and battle scene
- A bit too short

Awesome Robbery:
- Serious lag from FX overuse

- A bit bland in terms of story

The Premonition:
+ Jumping thing added a nice sense of real action
+ The rock fall kicks enormous amounts of ass

Tainted Trial:
+ Nice use of effects and nice choice of models
+ Generally nice action scene
- A bit chaotic, but nothing serious

Winter's Veil:
+ Generally nice action scene

The Premonition by Waldbaer
...
I don't like/Suggestions/repairs:
- The gnoll won
- Not so much speaking
- Terrain was not so good
- Where is the music? Didn't hear any
- Too much credits! You should done everything by yourself!

Erm, I don't know which cinematic you watched.
1. the gnoll didn't win
2. there are 2 sentences and 2 words spoken in the whole cinematic. Much?!
4. I don't know how you got this to work. Turn sound on and you should here both sounds and music
5. Well, I did not do on my own: The model of anathora and composing the music, everything else was made by me - you should read the credits and not only check their length!

I'll add detailed ratings from me later.

well, i wont write too much, both (exactly for 3 reasons but i dont know how it is named in english, i know "both" is for two) I have to go out in few minutes, I am lazy and many things were writen before.

The Premonition-the best fight scene for me, but unlike the others I must say that i find intro necessary and it gave little bit of drama to cin 4.9/5

The Escape-very original idea (you will not believe me that I also did one scene with FPS, but two years ago and it was awful). I voted for this cin 5/5
Tainted Trial-well, for the action scene it was OK. For me there was just a little bit of atmosphere 4/5

Awesome Robbery-just like before, for me It was only spells and nthng more 3.5/5

Deserted Revenge-the terrain wasnt very good for me, it should have better cameras also 3/5 and little bit of drama

The End of the Curse-well, terrain could be better too, and cameras too (why the hell anybody makes camera this way : from A cam to B cam for 3 sec and wait time is exactly the same!!!) 3/5

Dwarf vs Naga-ussualy I dont comment my own work, but I have to, that aimed scene is very old and not my idea, I would be good with some cross in it or bullet time of shooting or flying bullet. 3/5

Haunted Goldmine-i didnt get the idea of this 2/5

Short Cinematic-this wasnt exactly 1v1 battle x/

Orc ED-well, no ending, but you can prove urself, just do more and more 1,5/5

Winter's Veil-i must go, so i be hurry, very good, but It missed something 4/5

Clone-same as Orc ED, but little bit worse 1/5

I hope that I wrote correct coments to correct cinematics, I am in hurry

Hmm I thought I would be near the top with my cinematic but...
Asking somebody specific to vote for your cinematic is not a good cinematic contest spirit, it's a contest who is the most popular user.
EDIT: I hate these public polls.

Because people have just 1 post.If they have the same IP like the one they voted for? There are some voters with 0 posts.

But why cancel before you check if they are actually the same?

My friend, Altid, uses this site often, or the chat that is, so he has 0 posts, but that does not mean that he should not be allowed to vote, because he liked my cinematic and wants to see me win.

And thanks a lot for the vote, much appreciated

Well, I already wrote some comments about the cinematics here, but now I'll gonna rate them, too!

The End of the Curse
I have really no idea why this already got 6 votes, I think it's not special in any way, you did not work with the camera, story was not developed at all and you dit not even cut the music to keep the map file small - why should you keep 4:13 minutes music in a cinematic that is only a minute long?! Effects were OK, and all in all I've seen worse. I liked the imported models, but that cannot be count for your merit.
5/10

Haunted Goldmine
Well, one could see that you probably do not yet have much experience using the World Editor. Everything was made quite simple, no useless effects, but not very exciting too. I liked the voice acting very much, this adds two points to my rating for you!
5/10

Deserted Revenge
Not bad, I liked that you changed the terrain according to the special effects. Nevertheless, there was very few cinematography, and the special effects were not part of the story but the story was too obviously just a reason for the VFX, this is not as it should be in my opinion.
6/10

Awesome Robbery
The problem with this cinematic is that there are too many VFX to be good, but on the other hand it does not take itself seriously in any way. Well, I personally think after the second or third wave of BAMMM, it is not fun anymore, so I don't give you a very high rating. One note: This cinematic does not lag as much as it looks, the waits are the problem, not the Effects. If you are interested in making it better independently from the contest, I really would recommend you to build the loops with periodic events, this will make it look much more fluently.
6/10

Orc ED
Nothing new and not even had an ending. Sorry, but this won't give a high rating from me, best aspect is the terrain and even that is only average.
3/10

Dwarf vs Naga
To get it exciting, this would have needed much better timing. Anyways there were some nice basic approaches but also some ugly problems (camera moves directly through objects and the mentioned timing).
6/10

Short Cinematic
This is not really a cinematic. If I rate it as cinematic, I had to give a 2/10, if I rate it as any custom map, I give 5/10 because it's funny. Since this is a cinematic contest, it will get
3/10

Tainted Trail
Not bad at all and you invented a nice story just to get to monsters fighting. Very sad that the sway in the beginning looks so ugly without the camera system; I really recommend to build it in independent from the contest.
7/10

Winter's Veil
This is not your first cinematic and one can see that. Nice choreography and I really would like to see you to get some votes more. For me it's the best entry after The Escape, if I don't consider mine at all.
8/10

The Escape
Very nice in any aspect, the only cinematic in the contest that can concurrence with this one is mine I think, but since I are not allowed to vote for my own, I don't have problems to decide. It could get some detail work in the camera movement, maybe with my camera system, and at the first time watching it I was not sure if he's dead or not in the end. Maybe you should add a short latest cry to underline he is not only hit but dead. Also the last scene is a little too dark I think. These are the things you should have worked on if you had had more time; I know that you were busy until the last minute of the deadline!
9/10

The Clone
Ah, a pastebin submission, I wondered why I did not see this until now. Not bad, you created the effects fitting and not too much, there was a story and at least the camera moved. To get it even more exciting, you should add some closeup camera views. Everything a little above average, so
6/10

Sad that you can always vote only for the cinematic you like best and not at least for the second and third, too. With the method we use at the moment, cinematics like Winter's Veil do not get as much reputation as they should.
EVEN MORE SAD that there are always people that try to get votes by any other mean than a good enty to the contest. Giving reputation to people who voted for your cinematic is OK, but everything else is unfair manipulation for me. I'm interested how the moderator judging will be and how much it will count besides the poll...

The points given by the judge will by far be the most important points, even though perhaps you or I wins the poll by lets say 5 votes then we could easily still lose the contest by judge points.

And thanks for the review. I agree that the last scene is a bit to dark, but as you also mentioned I worked on this untill 10 min before I submitted it and the last scene was made in a rush, just quickly smacked together from bits and pieces, it was actually supposed to be around 15 seconds longer the whole thing!

Hey, people I'm back. Sorry I was away for so long! My computer brokedown and had to reinstall it. It took me awhile because of school. Anyways, very nice review's all! I'm really thankful for the positive feedback. It's a shame I didn't get many votes, but ahhh who cares. I can't decide who I will vote since there are as I see more cinamatics wich I will watch tomorrow... Well, cheers for a successful, contest! ^_^

The End of the Curse (3/5)
I just passes. I don't know the link between the movie and the title and I'd like to know why the "curse". Would rather say The End of the Elf. The battle wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. A few special effect and well they weren't bashing in each other, it looked more like a RPG style to me, you could add the number that shows the damage taken it it would be a classic RPG style of battle. Beside the terraining was good enough to make me feel that yes, it is a good cinematic, even if the battle was short. Good job.

Haunted Goldmine (2/5)
I just read the name, Haunted Goldmine and I'm like "ohoh it will be undergrounds and there might be some action." I'm imagining the mine car rolling the ghost scaring the poor guess of that mine of doom. Wow, it just cannot be bad... WRONG!!! I don'T know... I can't figure why you used the floating text this way and why you spammed the screen with those messages and I will never know why there were 2 spinning abomination on the last scene and I don'T want to know, all I know is that I saw a "not so good" (if you know what I mean) movie. I hope you'll do better next time. The only thing that keep me from giving you a 1/5 is the starting joke where the mine guard says that the only way to enter is to jump. Well, better luck next time, just try to make a more suitable ending.

Deserted Revenge (3.5/5)
As I read the description on the loading screen, I'm saying to myself that it got some potential. Then the movie starts, the characters speaks, the battle STARTS! They fight with some powerfull spells and it looks very nice, it's quite simple, it isn't too flashy but it's good enough then there is this part where the archmage and the lich launch 2 beams that comes into each other. It was fantastic, the only problem is that it'S too short, it could be longer because I was kinda disapointed when it ended. Still you had some really good effect there so I decided that 3.5/5 should fit.

Awesome Robbery (3/5)
The music was nice, the effects were really nice, but it was mostly the only thing there was. It wasn't really a battle... It was a Merchant killing a thief because he was not given a chance to attack or counter-attack he just got killed by a flashy spell. I give you point for the effects and the music. The camera was also good.

Orc ED (1/5)
I saw that you seeked to remake this scene we see at the end of the orc campaign on Wc3RoC. But ones of the first problems were the poor use of the camera triggers and the battle wasn't really good. It's simply units that are attacking each other, no spell or special effects involved. When an hero died you also saw him dissipate, and even worst, this movie had no ending at all! I had to alt+f4 to get out of it. So I'm sorry but, this movie was very noob. unless you didN,t had the time to finish it, I suggest you to come back with more skills before making another cinematic.

Dwarf vs Naga (3/5)
Original, quite good in fact, I liked it. There were cool effects with the camera and the naga well I hated him because he killed the dwarf, so I put you that 3/5... Nah, I'm joking, I put you 3/5 because it was lacky in special effects and well, the action was kinda slow. Still you did a great job, Bravo!

The Premonition (4/5)
A really really good cinematic. Camera well used. The way she hit the lightning missile to send it back at the gnoll remembered me of the fight against Ganondorf in Zelda (XD). And the avalanche, wow! Simply amaizng. Good ob on it you deserve a 4/5 (^.^)d

Short Cinematic (1/4)
It was funny I have to admit, but you won't get point with me with that. Why? Simply because you didn't put the necessary effort in making your cinematic enjoyable. Because if it wasn't a joke, it would probably be -3/5. Try to make something good next time. Even if it was funny I hope you didn'T hoped to win the contest with this.

Tainted Trial (4/5)
I have to admit that this movie was very stunning, I liked the way the battle was, it's the way I like them. The special effect were mighty! and everything was good, but... It was to short, I mean the undead that had the 2 short sword of dagger, did 1 attack and died, I expected more from him, even a victory. But beside the fact it was short, good job! (^.^)d

The Escape (4/5)
That idea might be orignial for somes, but that's not the best one you could have. I mean it's so cliché. I keep bad feeling from those kind of movies/cinematics. You never see anything which is not a good thing because you don't see if the maker made a lot of effort on the terraining. Ok you still deserve a 4/5 for the amazing use of the camera, I tried to do a first person view of someone running and it was really lame so I decided I sucked at cinematics. But your use of the camera stunned me positively. You made a lot of effort in it and that'S really good. Good job! (^.^)d

Winter's Veil (5/5)
As must as I search I cannot find something that I dislike in this. A cryptlord versus a mountain king. Who could say that it could have such a potential. I loved the entire movie but the best part really was the one where the big rock spire falls on the bridge. It was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
Félicitation, c'est du beau travail!
Congratulation, that's good work!

The Colne (3/5)
It was nothing really special. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good. You could had made it more stunning with some effects. The story background was good but the movie that was supposed to represent it was hard to follow, I mean this is the clone he killed right but it just ends up like this? Good movie still. (^.^)d

I dont want to be some bad guy here but why is the short cin included in map pool? it isnt 1v1 at all.

Well I let it be submitted to the contest, but since it isn't 1 vs 1 it will loose points for it, probably a lot of points.

When the voting will end? Hope there is still one more week time... :O

Yea there should probably be at least one week, since it will probably take me a while to finish judging.

Lol yes, I also just noticed that bob27 did not put any closing date on the poll, tsk tsk, shame on you bob!

I'm just gonna close the poll when the judging has been completed, and I am ready to release the final scores.

Could somebody who voted for The End Of The Curse please explain to me, in which way it persuaded him, what in fact was done better in this than in all other cinematics in his/her opinion? Thanks for your time, I really want to know what made you like it; maybe I can learn from it for my next cinematic!

I don't feel defeated because firstly the poll is not yet over and secondly it's only a part of the rating and we still have to wait for the Admin jugde.
I also don't want to go against you in any way. Every other cinematic that has been voted for some times got comments with reasons for the vote except yours. So I want to encourage your voters to justify their vote because I want to know what people like to be able to make maps everybody likes, and obviously there are some people (yes, even more than with mine) that like your cinematic quite much. You react quite angry for the pleasure that somebody wants to learn from you... :eekani:

The way you told it seemed a little offensive to me.Anyway, let's wait for the Admin Judge.

No matter what the final results will end up as this has been a great competition and I have learned a lot about cinematics, this being my first real one and all.

Ofcourse I still hope for victory in the end but that is still unknown, just because I have a few more votes than the second and third place it far from means that I have won.

Thanks. I have done 2 other extremely short cinematics for introduction/victory scenes before, but they were of an extreme low quality and took me less than 1-2 hours to create all in all. So this is basicly my first real cinematic and I do think that I succeded pretty well in getting my idea across even though it has some flaws here and there :)
