Right click on the TOD_Campaign_Assets.csw file and open with Archive Utility.
Unzip the Asset Pack as you would a zip file into the retail folder within the Reforged installation directory.
Open the terminal and enter the following exactly:

If texture issues persist after the above steps, try restarting the machine.

Follow the following guide but for Warcraft 3 Reforged:
This runs Reforged under Steam's emulation layer
Unzip the Asset Pack as you would a zip file into the retail folder within the Reforged installation directory
The tricky part is finding your "home" directory where you put your custom campaigns. In one user's case (agibsonccc) the filepath was the following:
/home/agibsonccc/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/2542504305/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/Warcraft III/Campaigns
The way proton works is you have steam and then an "appid" followed by a "prefix". The appid is basically a mapping to a "game" you specify in the left side in steam. That's wine's root directory. drive_c is C: then from there the paths should be the same.
If texture issues persist after the above steps, try restarting the machine.
Launch "Wacraft III: Reforged" game
Go to “Single Player” → “Custom Campaign”

I had a few crashes in the first two missions (2 in the first mission and 1 in the second, all at random times), but so far (omw to the 5th mission), the boat/water missions 3 & 4 didn't crash at all and were played smoothly all throughout. Great campaign and good experience so far!

One tip for all of y'all for the CRASHES ON LOADING A MISSION:
After the loading bar is at 100% and it says "press any key to continue", press only 1 button on your keyboard and wait 30-60 seconds. Do not press the keys or mouse buttons after that, for me it always crashes on loading the mission if I do that!
If you pressed a key and waited 60 seconds and the map hasn't loaded, press a key again since the 1st time perhaps the game did not register your pressed key.

So we can't update to the latest version/hotfix as it will lose the progress of the campaign? I have the release version, was wondering if we could "trick" it by using the win mission cheat to get to the latest mission played, I am at chapter 8 and I really don't want to go from the first one again

I tried using AllYourBaseAreBelongToUs but it says Cheat enabled and it doesn't win the mission, so there's no way to update without losing progress?

Damn the cheat doesn't work? I think every custom campaign should have it. At least I use it in my campaigns.
But even if it worked, your hero would be level 1 with no items for example on mission 9, if you beat all the missions with cheats.

Going to WC3 in the Battle.net launcher, go to launch editor.

Now go to File -> Open Campaign -> (Updated) CSW
Wait for it to load it's not actually stuck.

Go to the Loading Screen section, you will see the various chapters.

Double Click the mission(s) in question that you want to have unlocked -> Click visible on Visible don't mess with cinematic.

Do this for every mission you want to have unlocked or have already done. Now go to File and then Save Campaign.

As long as you edited the campaign file you have in the campaign folder you don't have to do anything else otherwise you'll need to remember to put the edited campaign file into the campaign folder, and as long as there is no problems with your cache you can continue from the latest mission you were on and your heroes should have all their items.

Thank you, but it just closes the game and that's it. I'm on Mac tho, so that's mostly due to shinanigans (downloading assets via Windows container, then copying them, and then running the Campaign on a Mac Warcraft III version.

I encountered some problems that people before mentioned like game crashing on loading. One issue that is bugging me on Chapter 6 The Wetlands. The last dragon artifact should be on the small island where the fire elemental spawns and after I kill it, the item doesn't drop.

There's only two things I've noticed that haven't been mentioned so far I think. The forest troll priests all of them are counted as ancients so they can't heal themselves only other units that aren't the various priests.

The other was something I wasn't sure on until I played the second secret chapter, Tharbek isn't affected by upgrades like Utok is.

I always saw this project highlighted on Hive, but never checked it. Today I played it and really liked it. I lost hope after what Blizzard did with Reforged, but this fan created campaign showed me the community of Warcraft still has the passion as the old members of Blizzard. Almost a decade ago I also started to create a campaign about WCI in a similar way, so I know how much work it took to your team to develop this campaign.

I found these bugs/ideas about the campaign (will update this comment after I done with other missions). Hope it helps your work!

  • Install description
    • You can remove line of "Download asset pack Asset Pack", because it's already downloaded with installer
    • I had the texture issue with white and green textures, but after reinstalling assets and running WC3 as admin, the bug has gone. You should write this to the install help somewhere
  • Act I
    • Bugs
      • During Guldan-Medivh dialogue I had a black screen then Chapter I started
    • Ideas
      • Would be better to skip parts of the Act and write the title of the part to the screen (like Orgim and Varok, Orgrim and Blackhand sons, Guldan and Medivh, etc.)
      • Sometimes I felt the dialogues were unnecessary (like Orgrim's armor or the one about Blackhand son is getting back his wolf) or "childish" (other son wanted his wolf too).
      • But I need to mention that the voice acting is really great, most of the time it's like in the original campaign :grin:
  • Chapter 1
    • Bugs
      • Footmen next to camp kept shouting "For Lordaeron". Should use "Trigger - Turn off"
      • Quest error sound instead complete (or updated) sound after I built Barracks
      • Set 200 vision range to hostile units (bear on cliff saw my units and started to run to them)
    • Ideas
      • Cinematic
        • Remove Rend's last sentence in intro, and wait some secs after intro ends then play the dialog. After it ends, discover build a camp quest
        • Peasants could build tents in cutscene and after that they can gather gold from mine to the boat
      • Quest
        • I would remove the main quest about gathering gold and lumber. First quest should be very simple to get familiar with basic stuff. Or atleast remove the 3000 gold/lumber hints, I felt a bit there are too many text on the screen
        • Show the number of all and destroyed wolf caves in the quest
        • Wolf could attack earlier without killing pig cutscene (it was too much scene for me in a short period of time)
        • Hide circle of power and show it after quest about killing humans is discovered
        • Quest task should be "Kill the scouts and destroy their camp"
        • Use minimap pings (like ping circle of power, no need to move camera. Move camera after unit enters the circle)
      • Other
        • Show hint about Urok (special hero) after selecting him first time (I only saw the hint about him after I started to destroy wolf caves)

  • Chapter 2
    • Bugs
      • 2 trolls in Zul'jin's village have dialogue text is different than its sound
  • Chapter 3
    • Bugs
      • Destroyer has stucked under 2nd constructed oil refinery
    • Idea
      • Utok could be a bit larger than grunts, because it was hard to see him among other 10+ grunt units

I'm loving every bit of this campaign, great job and kudos to the team for this amazing work.

Hi,

I found a big bug, in Tyr's mission after I conquered keep in bay, cutscene is played and right after forces of Silver Hand leave their castle all my unit are moved to my hero, and all buildings and peons disappearing and after that game ends with my defeat.

Hello. Does anyone know where to find BloodVine for the Berserker Potion quest?
It's on the same island where your camp is, from your town hall it should be south, and little to the east, it will be small space between trees.
Or
If you exit through the south exit of camp you should go very close to the line of trees that will be on right side and you should look for bushes that you can move though and there you will have it.

Update: He's not in even in the last mission and after I destory the Violet Citadel, nothing happens....

I don't if this is only related to the campaign or Reforged in general cause I bought it to play this.
The game crashes a lot whether during gameplay or a cutscene or loading screen, has anyone faced this problem before and if so, how did you fix it?

Hi,

I found another bug, in Stratholme mission after destroying Cathedral nothing else happens, I don't get another mission, gates became invincible, and I am stuck with my siege, I try using goblins sapper, catapults but no luck, I tried to attack from port, but gates there are also invincible.

Hi,

I am at that level currently but stopped playing for today after destroying the Cathedral.
Gonna continue tomorrow and see what I find. Though if you are currently playing it, maybe try the walls near their docks.

I'm also stuck at the Violet Citadel. I've destroyed it countless times and nothing happens. Help! (Also, Rend isn't there.)

Going to WC3 in the Battle.net launcher, go to launch editor.

In the map editor go to the campaign editor View attachment 458721

Now go to File -> Open Campaign -> (Updated) CSW
Wait for it to load it's not actually stuck.

Go to the Loading Screen section, you will see the various chapters.

Double Click the mission(s) in question that you want to have unlocked -> Click visible on Visible don't mess with cinematic. View attachment 458722

Do this for every mission you want to have unlocked or have already done. Now go to File and then Save Campaign.

As long as you edited the campaign file you have in the campaign folder you don't have to do anything else otherwise you'll need to remember to put the edited campaign file into the campaign folder, and as long as there is no problems with your cache you can continue from the latest mission you were on and your heroes should have all their items.
I can't find this updated CSW in my custom folder, only other custom campagin but not this one :<

First of all - great work! Ive played Warcraft 2 in childhood )

Now My experience.
I've played the first version of the game.
After being stuck in The Tomb of Sargeras mission with the boss and disappearing Rend, I've updated the game.
Replayed game from 3rd act (3 missions, 8, lost2 and 9)
And now I've completed The Tomb Of Sargeras, but I can't see The Siege of Dalaran mission.
Also, Ive found a strange thing, in original warcraft2 The Tomb of Sargeras is 12 mission, but here it is 13 mission and after is we have The Fall of Lordaeron


Where is The Siege of Dalaran. And why mission numbers are mixed from original game? )

On the screen you can see dissappeared 11 mission, but why ?

Hi,

I just finished campaign, so I thought that I should leave my honest review of your work.

Firstly I really want to thank everyone who took part in making this story, as a veteran Warcraft 2 player it was really amazing to play it and I had a blast, it was clear to me that you guys really love Warcraft and put a lot of effort to make it fun and amazing experience, so thank you all again for this amazing trip.
Now let's get to review

I loved models, locations, terrain and so on so yeah it was perfect once again huge congratulations to everyone who was working on map and model.

AI was too easy even playing at hard difficulty, it was way too easy in some missions for example "Fall of Stormgarde" was very easy, once our troops landed on left flank enemy basically stopped being any threat to us, some ogre some catapults, and it was slow but easy fight from this point on, similar thing happened in chapter 8 where enemy basically wasn't any threat aside from gnomish ari-machine, attacks were very delicate and didn't force me to actually plan in advance when to attack and so on because I never had that feeling of being in need to leave some troops to defend base. So it would be nice if the game could be a little harder. Chapter Nine after frozen water is good example, where I was really forced to think how I want to proceed because of enemy attacks so, yeah in my opinion on hardest difficulty game should force us to constantly thinking and plan way in advance.

Bug, yeah there were a few bugs that prevented me from finishing mission: In bonus mission 1 Dragon became invincible after having HP reduce to something around 5000, and it would just stay like it for the rest of the mission, I had to play the entire mission a few times over cause reloading did nothing.
In chapter nine after securing bay, game just move every soldier to heroes and then just end in failure with comment "Base was destroyed", so I had to skip it cause reloading or starting over did nothing,
In Chapter ten after all gates aside from three and the front are invincible, even after destroying Cathedral it doesn't change reinforcement teleport to ruined building and after fight it just enters "limbo mode" it ends current objective but isn't giving us new (and we can clearly see that there should be two more) I didn't find any way to enter the city, so I used cheats to make my Zeppelins immortal and destroyed everything in city, but it still didn't trigger victory, so that was another mission that I had to skip.
In chapter twelve during fight with boss (2nd stage) boss just causally went down hill and stood near gold mine and just remain there so I had to reload game like 12 times cause if I stopped just for one moment attacking him he would always go down and to the gold mine (it was always at 2nd stage fight).

"Movies" are always great but sometimes facial animations just stopped working, it happened few times, but it didn't bother me too much, then again I thought you should know this.

So this is my experience with your campaign it was very good, I had a lot of fun playing it, I didn't encounter any more bugs that would prevent me from enjoying the game, so I had a lot of a blast with it.
Once again, thank you for great work and awesome campaign, I look forward to the Human side of the story and I will definitely see you there.

Made an account just to say what a great job you all have done with this. My first Blizzard game was Warcraft 2, and this felt like a love letter to that game. Everything you all did made me feel 12-years-old again. I can't wait to see what you all do next. Thank you

I love the campaign! But I can't pass chapter 14. Nothing happened after destroying Violet Citadel.

Another bug is in chapter 12, where the final boss kept wandering away from the boss arena that I can't reach. Had to use cheat code to narrowly pass that mission

Does anyone know how to enter the keep and kill the mage in "Razing of the Tyr's Hand"? The lever open when i'm far away and troops come out...when I go near even when they are coming out the gate closes, the defenders stay inside and I alway stay outside...

Hey Guys, I just wanted to point out that I had texture issues on my PC when I used the TOD_Campaign_Assets.csw file the comes inside of the CSW - Installer and Assets.zip file. If you download the TOD_Campaign_Assets.csw file that is a separate download in the installation instructions from the wetransfer link. You will not have that issue. I just wanted to post this with the potential of saving a lot of people sometime, and maybe for the hosts to correct or remove the older .csw file with the issue from the .zip file.

I also want to say that I am a major fan of projects like this. And I hope to see a future in gaming with massive amounts of support for mods and passion projects such as this. Thanks

But anyhow, i downloaded the TOD_Campaign_Assets.csw separately and deleted the one which came together with the CSW_Installer, opened the CSW_installer and chose delete CSW and then load the TOD_Campaign_Assets.csw.

Be sure to have your Warcraft III Reforged installed to the latest patch, and make sure to install assets too with the mod...
It didn't work for me at first, but be sure to install or restart as well...

Takes a few tries, and you will have the same style as this...

Yeah...
It didn't work for me at first either, but I gave it a few tries and it finally worked...

Pretty much put the Installer in with the Warcraft III Reforged Launcher, and then put the Custom Campaign mod map file in where the Campaign file folder so yeah, and the Asset Pack can be added too in which you select it from the Installer and then delete the old files if you need too or not...
Then should work after a restart or if not...Then do the same thing if needed...
Fresh downloads too would work, and I haven't had any issues lately yet, but I did have the white model issue before too...
That was a easy fix, but so far I am loving this Custom Campaign, and I am looking forward too the Human Campaign and then the expansion sequel to this as well...With of course the First War if they ever get to it...

if someone knows how to fix it it'll be awesome, can't do the last part of the mission without rend...

The gate can be destroyed by catapults, it just very specific point, so you just have to slowly click on the gate, but as I said it very specific point on gate so you just have to try it a few times.

I can't finish Chogall in the Tomb of sargeras mission. In the second round he goes outside my range and I don't know what to do. With the cheats he dies immediately and then I can't finish the mission either

One question: Is there any circumstance for the "Secret" Mission of the Flight of Red Dragons to be enabled in the campaign? I'm asking, because only now, that I'm in chapter 14, she appeared to and can do it... but I realize that based on the story, it should have been done a long time ago... Was this a BUG that happened to me?

How did you use the code? If I kill him at first/second round nothing happens
After using the "whosyourdaddy" code, one normal attack will take half of the boss' hp. Attack once in the first stage, then go to the second stage. the boss get regenerate to about 60% health. Attack him again to barely not kill him to reach the third stage.

Mission 12 is currently physically impossible to beat due to a bug where Cho'Gall's second phase constantly walks to the left, going as far as walking through walls. The "win instantly" cheat does absolutely nothing, and killing him instantly with God Mode just breaks the whole battle.

EDIT: I think I found a possible cause. When the boss glitched I only had Maim, but when I tried it again I had both and he stayed perfectly still. No idea what happened there...

So after another try i finished the boss fight and im now in next mission Tomb of Sargeras. Still only with Maim and Zuluhed. Rend even have conversation during fights (Spider thing) but he is still missing
How you did it?

One more question: In chapter 14, is it not possible to kill the Paladin Uther? In all my games he is always invulnerable and I can't kill him...

Unfortunately i cannot end the Lost Chapter: Dragonqueen Mission. The game crashes always during the ending cinematic and even if i try to skip the mission.

That secret mission unlocks after collecting all dragon figurine pieces, did you collect them all? I believe they are three fragments
