No, the US is taking heat because it has 2 parties

One party does one thing, the other calls in every single resource from every part of the globe to make sure the other fails

Then it goes back the other way, back and forth, in a constant flux that enables the USA to completely switch policies every four years, ultimately preserving the United Stats of America as an almost invincible nation whose government can evolve as is necessary

Please, for the love of god, do not say "we are not the worlds mother", that has nothing to do with it

We live on the same planet, in this day and age we have enough nukes to completely obliterate the moon, and we are a mere fraction of the populace of the planet as a whole, it is far far far more intelligent to watch out for your own continued existence then watch as the world could possibly be annihilated, and wishing to God you had done something earlier

Everything in this day and age affects all people, no matter the political, imaginary mind you, boundaries

Perhaps if the United Stats of America was a planet all on its own, I'd probably be agreeing with you, but alas, we are not

To say just because we live in a democracy that we all as a whole wish to 100% back any policy that is set up, is to say that the American woman who lost her only son in the war wants nothing more than to send as many troops that the US can afford to be sent to war and possibly never return

I hate the whole concept of Imperialism, it is so distorted and bothers me so, because I cannot go back and see it all

The one single thing that I believe that could make people so furious, is not Britain having power, but the simple concept of mercantilism, which is a hell of a reason to be pissed off about

One major flaw in that point: We do NOT own the world. The world is not our child, every country isn't our underling. If you think so, its clear insight into why we are hated so very much for arrogant people like you --donut3.5--

It is not I that think such thoughts its what the other people in the world create OBVIOUSLY you missed the point of the entire statement.
THEY ACT as our jealous little sisters did you miss that part.
It is the other countries that hast thrust the US into this position, of global police(since the UN cant do shit) and now they are mad because they are the unpopular younger uglier sister, or older uglier in some cases.

I can't think of a country that has done either of those things (look as us as the boss or hate us because they think we're the boss).
Hell, we're in an international board, in a thread designated for a nation other than America.
Let's ask them.
Hey Canadians, do you see us as your superior and hate us for being so?

No offence or anything, but where I live, people are more "Not American" than "Canadian", if that answers your question.

So you're pretty much inferior, up here anyways.
qtf.

Canada sees the US as a big annoying brother to the south (below, inferior, ect.).
He thinks he's tough shit or something. But then some little Asian kid (Vietnam) kicks his ass and he goes home crying (freaking kung-fo!). Then acts like it never happened.

To tell the truth I'm an American Citizen and a Canadian one. It kicks ass. I can cheer for both in the Olympics, because the US wins and Canada gets most sportsmanship.

I prefer Canada, but the US is actually pretty rad. They got some serious patriotism, and they are one of the only Christian world powers left. Which is changing. Which is bad.

China could mess you up real bad without any help from nukes.

and Gilles: It's bad because you van no longer force your Christian ways into the government? Come on now. World powers should have no religious alignment whatsoever. Practicality comes before what your religion tells you. Seperation of church and state is very important, because they're two way different things, and I wouldn't exactly want the Church running my country.

Now, you're free to believe whatever you want as a citizen, but as a politician, you should be neutral.

Purple and Giles thanks for reinforcing my points.
quotes shall we
" Canada sees the US as a big annoying brothe"
"No offence or anything, but where I live, people are more "Not American" than "Canadian""
That is the saddest thing I have ever heard, and completely reinforces my points.

Sidenote, Giles religion has no place in government.

Wow you are you really that thick?
Every single one of your replies make no sense, or are utterly ridiculous.

Sansui, the only reason his replies are not making sense is because you don't want them to, and the only reason what I said is the saddest thing you ever heard is because you're an American patriot.

And Gilles, as it has already been said, the further the church stays away from the state, the better.

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! Our chief weapon is surprise... Surprise and fear... two chief weapons... Surprise, fear, and ruthless efficiency... Three, three chief weapons,.. Surpise, fear, ruthless efficiency, and a fanatical devotion to the pope... Four, four chief weapons... etc

(Ever seen the Spanish Inquisition Sketch? :p)

No you are reaching to extremes, and completely idiotic conclusions. Please base your questions around facts as I have.
Seriously you are just being foolish and trying to discredit my statements with ridiculous claims because your reading comprehension is sub-par.

Purple, I am not a an American Patriot. I am looking at this from an outside point of view and its pretty fucked up how obsessed you are over the US.

This is my last post in this thread until someone can provide an actually credible response, instead of this junk.

I happen to be Canadian living in the US, and here's how it actually is: the nice people are very nice, but the mean people are meaner. The negative extremes are farther from the norm than the positive extremes. Unfortunately, that results in a negative mean.

I'm gonna have to agree with Sansui, because he has not at all once picked a side, mostly spoke the truth

More on the other hand, donut and PP seem to be part of those leftists that want the USA to do nothing but fail miserably

I'd like donut and PP to respond back to my post...

And the opinions of TheHive community comprises of the sentiments of every living Canadian today

Now, I have been a little bothered that none of you have responded to my posts, and you might say they are stupid and not worth it, but then I'd have to call you a pussy hiding behind insults and tell you to grow a pair of testicles, or give response

If you're implying that the Hive is predominantly leftist, fine, but Canadian's aren't. Hell, we may show Socialist tendencies, but why the hell do we have a Conservative government if all we want is left?

Counter-culture is all fine and great, but not when it's for the sake of countering culture. I take the left when the left is right, but just as often it turns out that the left is the one manipulating things (Online documentaries are the worst here, Zeitgeist, Loose Change, etc) where people automatically assume that just because it's not what the news tells you, it has to be true.

He didn't pick a side? I recall multiple anti-Canada posts of his. You're just calling him fair because he's fair towards your side :p Reminds me of this:
Faux_news_.jpg

Anyhow, I did respond to it, I guess you just didn't pick up on it.
Oh and Sansui, stop taking this so seriously, you're acting as if this will decide the fate of whether the world continues to exist :p

donut3.5, maybe sarcasm doesn't travel well over plain text, but I would consider that sarcasm, or some form of humor, at the very least.
And the opinions of TheHive community comprises of the sentiments of every living Canadian today
No, but we have many Canadian members, to which donut3.5 was referring.
I are not. But thanks for asking.
Don't try to derail threads! :p
