Hey there fellow Warcraft 3 fans,

Our ongoing project is dedicated to introducing the multi-faction element into the game. Our goal is to enhance nearly all of Blizzard's official melee maps by incorporating additional factions.

At this point, we have 15 playable factions, a new main menu, and revamped gameplay for all of them. The factions are as follows:
  • Kingdom of Lordaeron
  • Scarlet Crusade
  • Kingdom of Dalaran
  • Orcs of the New Horde
  • Tauren
  • Zandalari Empire
  • Lost Ones
  • Undead
  • Night Elves
  • Blood Elves
  • High Elves
  • Naga
  • Darkspear Tribe
  • City-State of Theramore
  • Amani Empire
To enhance the gaming experience, we have created numerous custom assets and abilities. Furthermore, we have developed Blizzard-like AIs for each of our custom factions, ensuring challenging and dynamic gameplay whether you're playing solo or with friends.

  • New faction selection menu, accessible only from our AoW folder.
  • New UIs and ambience music for all factions.
  • New button for selecting our Faction Leaders, either by clicking it or by pressing F4.
  • New icons for all our factions on the score screen and loading screen.
---------Second Expansion Changes--------
  • Two New Factions: The City-State of Theramore and the Amani Trolls enter the fray.
  • Faction Leader System: Every faction now has a unique Faction Leader that can only be created once per game. If another player on the map has the same faction and creates the Faction Leader first, you will lose the ability to create that leader. Therefore, it is recommended to play with different factions. As you know, the Lich King will be especially powerful, featuring both land and flying animations. He is designed to feel like an end-game scenario. Faction Leaders will also have a special indicator when they are created.
  • Two New Tavern Heroes
  • Reworked Darkspear Buildings.
  • And last but not least, 4 new maps: (2) Terenas Stand, (4) Borderlands, (6) Dustwallow Marsh, and (12) Icecrown. All maps have been adjusted to properly accommodate our mod.

---------First Expansion Changes--------
  • All our factions have been reworked. This means we’ve recalculated stats and rebalanced units and abilities based on new faction and racial traits, inspired by campaign stats and World of Warcraft lore. For example, the Scarlet Crusade now focuses more on healing and reviving their units. Another example is the Tauren, who now use a caravan system that allows them to relocate most of their base. Additionally, all Tauren units can be resurrected by a Spirit Walker. These are just a few of the many changes waiting to be explored.
  • We’ve also introduced new elite units and upgradable units for each race. This feature further diversifies the factions. For instance, the High Elves are now more focused on their archers.
  • Almost all of our factions now have unique icons for their upgrades.
  • A new neutral building, the Goblin Bank, has been added. It allows players to trade gold for wood and vice versa. Of course, since goblins are greedy, there’s a small commission based on the bundle size you choose to exchange.
  • Racial and faction traits are now fully implemented. Every faction in our mod has its own unique Faction trait. For example, Zandalari Troll units have traits based on the Loa they worship.
  • The Scourge now have two new heroes: the Boneguard and the Necrolord.
  • We’ve also added a new experimental Tavern hero, the Justicar. Upon learning his ultimate ability, he change appearance and movement speed to match his new form.
  • And last but not least, a new faction enters the fray: the Darkspear Trolls.

Step 1
Download both parts of the installer from Age of Warcraft Mod Installer.

Step 2
Before installing the mod, unzip the Age_of_Warcraft_installer_0.2.0_part_1 & Age_of_Warcraft_installer_0.2.0_part_2. Then take the Age_of_Warcraft_helper folder from Age_of_Warcraft_installer_0.2.0_part_2 and place it to the Age_of_Warcraft_installer_0.2.0_part_1 folder

Step 3
Uninstall any previous installation.

Step 4
Run the Age_of_Warcraft_installer.exe from the Age_of_Warcraft_installer_0.2.0_part_1 folder.
The Second Expansion, 0.2.0, is for patch 2.0.4+

Step 5
Be sure that your game is located in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III, if not then click on browse and locate your Warcraft III folder.

Step 6
Wait till the installation is finished and enjoy the Mod!


---------- How to uninstall the mod ----------

Either from the installer or the Programs and Features, you can uninstall the mod. This process doesn't delete the replaceable textures or affect any folder of other mods or projects.

---------- Known Issues ----------

Sometimes, if you run one of our maps that has more than four players and successfully complete the game, trying to play one of our maps again may cause the game to crash. All you need to do is restart the game to play again. As of now, we don't know exactly what causes this issue; it started happening after patch 1.36.2.

Thanks man, We are going to add the Draenei in the future. They seem to be the same, but the High elves focus more on their archers and have higher stats and regenaration than the Blood elves. Feel free to suggest gameplay ideas for the factions.

Why can't the Night Elf Moonblade Tech Hunter change from unarmored to heavy armor?

Hello, sir. I have downloaded the latest version of the mod from HIVE. I saw the update log for August 10th. I know the update content. However, none of the six maps have been updated and fixed. The introduction of summoned creatures is also empty.

We tested it on different computers and confirmed that the change is applied to all of the maps. You can join our Discord server for further troubleshooting.

The author is only supporting the current version. Older ones have a lot of bugs that were fixed in 0.1.1.

Btw, are you using the latest version of the game from Battle.net? We couldn't help that if you are using older Reforged patches. This forum doesn't even support piracy/pirated contents.

Thank you very much for your answer. I am using the latest version of Battle.net. However, for some reasons, I still keep the 2.02 version. Because I prefer 2.02 to the latest version.

Battle.net launcher should auto-update the game if your game copy is legit. I think it's an app-related issue.

If you're still having a trouble with patching the game, the launcher has an option where you can locate the game. Make sure that you choose the Reforged installation folder.

Thank you for your enthusiastic reply. I have upgraded to 2.0.3 and installed this great mod, as it provides the most beautiful Naga model I have ever seen. I am a Naga enthusiast, but I couldn't find this beautiful Naga model on this forum.beautifulnaga.png

No project is 100% perfect or 100% bad. I believe Age of Warcraft has both good parts and bad parts. Calling my work "pure BS" because I refuse to see things as black and white, and instead want to encourage the mod authors to improve, is arrogant. Maybe you should reconsider this community, because most people here are not fond of this kind of arrogance, and we'd rather give each other constructive criticism, not glaze one project and bash the rest.

On another note, my congratulations to the AoW developers for their work, and I hope to see more improvements <3

About the maps, I would like for us to have maybe 3 or 4 maps to test out 1v1, there's only Booty Bay and even if it has been updated, it is still one of the old ones. Maybe these could be added?

To guide you through comments would take time and may lead to misunderstandings. As I mentioned, once we release this expansion, I will create videos explaining both how we develop our AIs and how to transfer our assets to other maps.

Since it might take a while, and for now we have a limited mapbase, I decided to start tampering with the Editor, here is my first result:

"Darkshore" is a modified Booty Bay with the Ashenvale tileset, Night Elf fishing villages, and such. It is full blown, full of doodads, and may lag many systems, please let me know if yours does not.
"Darkshore LV" is a Light Version of the previous one, with non-glowing torches and braziers, without any seaweed and without floating lily pads.
"Darkshore ULV" is an Ultra LV of it, without any "water" segment doodads, torches, or braziers.

Please let me know if you see and feel the differences in performance, my system does not help much at that.

PS: I plan to make the Eversong Woods version of it as well, since the Booty Bay map by Blizz is already northward facing (like Blood Elf and Night Elf zones in WoW), and it will take a bit more work to make Booty Bay westward facing like the WoW zone in the Cape of Stanglethorn. I realized I have to start rotating the units and doodads first, and then introduce the modified terrain. More on that later, please let me know what you think of this DS mod of BB and how you think it looks and feels. Cheers.

Well it doesn't look like I will get much attention here, but I'll post my other "creations" just in case... Not really mine, more of Blizzard and Age of Warcraft team, but all the same... I hope someone likes and enjoys! Here they are:

DS LV 2.0 would be my final version of that mapping project, before I move onto the High Elf version at some other time.

Real Stranglethorn Booty Bay would be the WoW version which is a westward facing bay, complete with the pirate and goblin theme and such. There is a light version also.

Finally, Fountain of the Eight suns is a mod of Twisted Meadows in many regards, but with the doodad-heavy what-if inclusion of a river and flow idea I had with heavy usage of waterfalls to create the effect... It is also heavy with Dragons and Elves.

The Darkshore map isn't bad, and I kind of like the Fountain map too, although it's a bit frustrating when those blasted dragons keep attacking my base, and my ally's, so soon. Also, I don't think it's a problem with the maps or the mod, but I played with a hard mode ally last night and they didn't seem to coordinate very well, nor think of making too many archers while their base was being attacked by said dragons - I had to fly in some of my own, to get rid of them, just to put a stop to that incessant "our ally's town is under siege!"
 
Well, I am sorry. It is true, the 2 cubs will attack pretty soon if roused, they do live nearby... it is green ones for the West (Ashenvale in Kalimdor), bronze ones for the South (Barrens and Caverns of Time), red ones for East (Eastern Kingdoms) and blue ones for North (Northrend) ...but only them, the drakes and the actual dragons are closer to the fountain at the middle, I hope you liked what you saw there! (Well I do lie, there are black ones who hijacked and are now guarding the Goblin Banks, the greedy bastards! So beware of those)

Thank you for feedback about Darkshore, I thought we needed to make use of that north-facing fake map Blizz made... they retconned or simply made it anew as west facing, complete with pirates and all, which I tried to immitate in the "Real Stranglethorn Booty Bay" version I made... so, what is north-facing in Azeroth for real? I thought of Darkshore where Night Elves can face off against almost every member of the Horde to similate the War of Thorns setting (Orcs, Tauren, Darkspears, also Forsaken when they are included!), and I will make a north facing "re-skin" with an Eversong Woods theme soonish.

After you upgrade your "Town Hall" to its third stage, the faction leader will become available there. They are somewhat expensive, but definitely worth the resources.

That's what I thought, but for some reason, they just didn't show during the first few times I played.

Also, it's kind of strange how the game treats them like regular soldiers instead of heroes, and doesn't have make them the first unit selected when they're put in a group.

If you play with or against a faction that is the same as yours and they manage to recruit the faction leader before you then you can't summon yours.

Yes, I was aware of that. I only played night elves vs. undead, in a 1v1 match, at the time though. I assumed initially, that it was because I was on one of sancmair's maps, but I did a booty bay match after that one and still couldn't see Tyrande. But I can see her, and other leaders now.

Sancmair's maps are still using version 0.1.1 of the mod, so it is only natural that the faction leaders are absent.
 
Hello guys, I'm running into a little bit of a frustrating issue here. I've taken screenshots of the game files in order for you to check that everything is going well and in place. I'm trying to install the new Age of Warcraft, but it's not installing for a reason. I've followed all the steps, and I've taken screenshots to make sure everything is okay. I actually had the previous version installed normally, but I deleted it to install the new one, but it's not getting installed. Please help me solve the issue and tell me any useful ideas.
So my Warcraft file is in the fdiskv folder, and as you can see in the screenshots, I have all of the folders installed in the Warcraft folder. I took the helper folder from the 0.2.0 part 2 and pasted it inside of the helper of part one. I took a screenshot after the paste.

When I browse and click the Warcraft 3 folder in the F and click Accept and Install, it prompts the message in the screenshot saying, "Are you sure you want to cancel a job for craft installation?" When I press No, it takes me to the same page of installation. When I say Yes, it tells me to finish. AND THE LOOP KEEPS REPEATING. thank you

my warcraft reforged version is above 2.0.....
