- DOWNLOAD THE ASSET INSTALLER
Download W3RRInstaller.exe from this page and run it in your Windows O.S by double clicking on it or by using the context menu.- FOLLOW THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
Follow the on-screen installation instruction presented in the installer. When asked, grant admininstration rights. As target folder, select your Warcraft 3 Reforged game folder (where Warcraft III Launcher.exe is located). You can install only the files needed by the campaigns you plan to play. By default, all of them are selected for installation.- REBOOT YOUR PC
In order to load files from your retail folder, where the installer will place them, the registry of your Windows O.S. will be edited. This edit is safe and performed by the installer. To make it effective, though, you need to reboot your PC.- DOWNLOAD THE CAMPAIGNS
To play, you need to download the campaigns from the apposite pages here on HiveWorkshop:Once a campaign is downloaded, place the related .w3n file inside the Campaigns folder in your Warcraft 3 documents folder. If this folder doesn't exist, create it.- PLAY
Run Warcraft 3 Reforged, select Single Player, then Custom Campaigns. Here, select the campaign you want to play. The appropriate locale, when available, is automatically selected by the game if you run the game in that language.
- LOCATE AND RUN THE UNINSTALLER
You can find the uninstaller executable W3RRUninstaller.exe in the Warcraft 3 Reforged game folder (where Warcraft III Launcher.exe is located). Run it and uninstall all the content. Any other content not related to the project will be left untouched.- DELETE THE CAMPAIGNS
You can find the campaigns in your Campaigns folder. Delete them to finish the uninstallation procedure.
- DOWNLOAD THE ASSETS FROM THE MIRROR
Memorize the folder structure, for you need to copy it as in in the retail folder in your Warcraft 3 Reforged installation directory. Technically, you could just use the Archive Utility to decompress the downloaded files, so long you download the mirror folder on its entirety from Google Drive.- ENABLE LOCAL FILES
To enable local files on Mac O.S. you need to enable local files by typing in your terminal:
defaults write "com.blizzard.Warcraft III" "Allow Local Files" -int 1- REBOOT YOUR APPLE COMPUTER
To make the line above effective, you need to reboot your machine.- DOWNLOAD THE CAMPAIGNS
To play, you need to download the campaigns from the apposite pages here on HiveWorkshop:Once a campaign is downloaded, place the related .w3n file inside the Campaigns folder. If this folder doesn't exist, create it.
Please note that on MacOs this folder is hidden by default:
To find it:For additional information refer to this thread.
- Open a Finder window
- Press SHIFT+CMD+G
- Copy/Paste "~/Library/Application Support/Blizzard/Warcraft III/"
- Copy/Paste your campaign files into the Campaigns folder. If you don’t see a Campaigns folder you must create one
- PLAY
Run Warcraft 3 Reforged, select Single Player, then Custom Campaigns. Here, select the campaign you want to play. The appropriate locale, when available, is automatically selected by the game if you run the game in that language.
- DELETE THE ASSETS
Remove all the assets in your retail folder. Make sure to only delete the files related to the project.- DELETE THE CAMPAIGNS
You can find the campaigns in your Campaigns folder. Delete them to finish the uninstallation procedure.

Make sure that your folder name is in Latin characters only. No strange Cyrillic or anything. It's a system restrictions that prohbits any kind of non-ASCII characters.Hi, how can i fix this? View attachment 524971
Ah, sorry, it was so simple, didn't get what "characters" means in this case. ThanksMake sure that your folder name is in Latin characters only. No strange Cyrillic or anything. It's a system restrictions that prohbits any kind of non-ASCII characters.
Just to be specific I am only having this issue with this campaign. Other custom campaigns work just fine.I am having the same issue as zryb. I reinstalled the game and the downloader twice. I saw the option to use the old regorfed evenviormet, but still doesn't work.
You have to be on the latest patch of Reforged (currently 2.0.2) for sure, though we'd better to wait for an upcoming live update since Blizzard is working to fix for the custom unit portraits/skins and the invisible models during gameplay, among the other issues.is it work with an older version of reforge?
From my observation, using a download manager or even without download manager, but with VPN being activated has almost zero effect on most issues. @deme3s said in this thread of Age of Warcraft mod that he was unable to download his own mod with Opera (stuck at 25%). Try not downloading this mod using Opera (or disable the VPN that comes with Opera). If you have a VPN activated, try reset it.have you fixed the download issues?
Hello i play on reforged 2.0 and i follow ure installation guide but i have a graphical bug, can u help me please ?
Check the allowed to use local files in the registry, use this. It is possible that the installer failed to record this parameter. I got the same effect because I ran the asset installer and the game in different wine/proton on linux.Lighting issues. When I enter any map of the Re-Reforged campaign, everything is dark, but as soon as I enter the menu, the light returns (while I am in the menu, there is light). In regular maps and the regular campaign from Blizzard, everything works stably. Can you help?
FYI, For anyone having the lighting issues from the above screenshot/ the "everything dark, menu open light returns" etc problems: I figured out the installer was doing the registry edit but wasn't actually installing any files to the Warcraft III folder. I'm not sure if it is a bug, or something weird with later versions of windows, but literally nothing would be changed in the folder when the installer ran. Going to the mirror link that's in the mac instructions and installing the files manually to C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III\retail worked for me.
Agreed on very weird, I've never seen anything like it before, and I haven't had trouble with any other installers. I did run as administrator and nothing changed, but it has to be some kind of silent permission error. I ran the installer from the commandline to see if I'd see any error messages and I didn't. Show details looked fine (showed 7z files extracting etc). I just tried making a folder on my desktop and pointing the installer at it and that worked fine, very confusing. That being said, making a desktop folder and targeting it with the installer then copying the contents to your Warcraft III folder is an easier workaround than dealing with google drive so if anyone else runs into this that's what I'd recommend.
Sadly, it makes gameplay with classic graphics incompatible.
In the last version. I played classic campaign and got my tree's disappear. They are Summer Lordaeron trees, and their models were invisible. I double checked it in WorldEditor - same issue: invisible destructive trees, yet workers can still harvest them or attack. You sure? In last version? Can you elaborate more so I can fix it?
Seems it works now, I just checked by WorldEdit. Looking forward to seeing what you have prepared for us in the new Path of the Damned act...I fixed it! It was just uploaded wrongly! Now it should be fixed try again!
That's the issue I'm afraid. You can only play this updated campaign on the latest Battle.net patch (2.0.3).I did all the instructions to download and play the First Campaign, but for some reason it doesn't show up on my game. I have version 2.0.1 now.
Could be related to the Windows (or maybe, hardware) problem. Not relevant to this mod.I try to start the program, but nothing happens, not even when I run it as administrator.
Same here, and the custom cinematics are broken as well. Anyone got an idea how to fix?Hello i play on reforged 2.0 and i follow ure installation guide but i have a graphical bug, can u help me please ?
Make sure that the mod is installed in a correct game directory (the one with "Warcraft III Launcher.exe"), and that path must contain Latin-only characters, no strange symbols. For some reason, the installer puts all required files in a wrong place.Same here, and the custom cinematics are broken as well. Anyone got an idea how to fix?
Use 3rd party download managers like IDM, which allows you to resume download interruption. And don't use VPN.Hi everyone, unfortunately I still can't download it. Could someone reupload the file to a file-sharing site or another source? I'd be extremely grateful. I've tried downloading it in various browsers (Opera, Yandex, Google, and Microsoft) but it didn't work.
That error likely means you are playing with an older version of WC3. The current version is 2.0.3.23175, and you should be able to download it through Battle.net.Hello. When I access Custom Campaigns, I just get the attached
Can anyone help me? I already finished the installer and downloaded the maps. and when i locate the war3 folder only the UNinstaller is inside. No apk or whatsoever, I did reboot my PC but I still can't find/open the game. What should I do? View attachment 568210
Please don't spam the posts, it's very annoying. I don't really understand much of your post. Can you help me? Installer is done and all. but I can't find the application even after i finished it all. (I don't have any Warcraft 3 installed besides this.)
Have you been able to resolve this? I am struggling. I'm using Mac OS Monterey 12.6.1. I didn't even have a retail folder where you did, so i created one and out the assets inside. This didn't work for me. I am also not certain if following command "defaults write "com.blizzard.Warcraft III" "Allow Local Files" -int 1" in the terminal is actually being done correctly. Any help would be amazing.Hello guys, I am trying to install the assets on Mac OS (Sonoma 14.5). I did download the assets and put them to the recommended retail folder.
Still does not work. I am attaching the folder path screen as well as the screenshot from the first campaign chapter that I get.
P.S. I did enter the following command "defaults write "com.blizzard.Warcraft III" "Allow Local Files" -int 1" in the terminal as was required and it seemed to work.
Any solutions?
I have made attempts again by renaming the receipt folder and reviewing the command i made. Here is the location of where i placed items with the essential roadmap highlighted to its more easily readable. And for Terminal, this is how i have put in the command. I dont know Terminal so as far as I know i did it wrong, but i dont know how. Any thoughts?
