I'm not a selfish person. Since Blizzard extended the max filesize limit to 8mb, map is no longer protected. You can modify this map as you wish, or use the systems included on this map on a map of yours, but dont forget to give me credits for all systems, and read the comment file explaining the rules of how to edit/republish this map. As long you follow these rules, you don't need to ask me authorization.

Fuck imageshack! They have deleted my pics! I will upload new ones soon.

If you want to play with AI, dont use more than 2 computer players or game will lag like hell (Blame wc3 engine!). That happens because this map has epic battles with hundreds of units on each side, and when an AI orders too many units to advance/move/retreat, game lags, and theres no way to fix it. But I can assure you: If you play on solo against 2 computer players, the game is still funny and can last very long.

tleno, lol. You know what? It's dumb for you to poke around in mapmaker's buisness. "Or you can add Osama! Or Kremlin or moos and rhino, or this or that or marines from America in Afgan, or bla, or bla or blabla, maybe?" Let the man/woman make his/her own map.

Thanks for the new suggestions. I hope new version comes out soon as we are loosing positions in the top maps =/.
On next version I'm foccusing on new units, and many units will be upgradeable.
E.G.:
- Stryker can gain Infantry Carrier upgrade, increasing hit points and cargo capacity, or get a Mortar Launcher attached on his back to become a siege unit.
- M2 Bradley can gain Warhammer upgrade, increasing his ATGMs firepower.
- T72 can be modernized and replaced as T-80.
etc..

Also, a new ballance. I doubled everything hp (exept aircraft. I doubled their firepower agains ground units instead) and reduced credit income by 25%, to make players have less unit. That improves gameplay, and make battles last longer, allowing players to take quick strategies like retreath, or try surrounding an enemy, etc.

i doubt things like the red towers for the kremlin or any national landmarks are important, since most ppl would most likely either ignore it or completely miss it during combat (UNLESS they have a major impact on the gameplay, i.e defense or w/e).
these are unecessary and MAY potentially create map lag, which isnt something that youd want. but yeah...thats just my point

Suggestion:
Add futuristic units for a FINAL tier or game mode?
im not talking about rail tanks and that stuff since that would be just...lol
BUT how about semi-futuristic units like in EndWar? (i.e the M1A2 ---> M5A2 Schwarzkopf, T-90 --> T-100 Ogre,etc)

oh heres the link if ure interested =D

yeah i suppose that would work
the only problem is that there arent any specific details about this new tank + the combat systems and also this only applies for the USA

whereas EndWar has semi-futuristic units that are of Western European/Russian AND American designs

The only, and I mean only, reason we're trying to erm... Point out mistakes is because well, your map is just so great, and we're just trying to erm, make it perfect... Sorry but I just thought you were irritated by the constant scolding, oh, and do read the Forums in WWIII: Nuclear Sunrise...

About people telling me "Do this, do that!", I dont care much. I always listened to everyone's opinion, (and maybe this is the reason to make this map better than most modern warfare maps.)

About those futurist weapons, I dont want to add to much. I do focus making it a modern, not futurist war. Many errors that makes the map less realist can happen using units that are "suposed to maybe, someday enter service". Thats what happened with Black Eagle and Su-47, their projects were canceled (I knew about this 4 months ago, and I'm still trying to find another aircraft to replace it).
You may notice other ww3 maps are full of futurist stuff, but none of them are popular, thats because its pretty hard to know what kind of machines are going to be used in future, and at the same time trying to do something realist.
So, until I dont find some future unit thats really going to be used (like F-35), I will not add anymore future units.

tleno, yeah, I watched it sometimes. Once, I watched about an european AT and AA Rocket Launcher called "Thor". Do you have any info about that?

THOR... sounds familiar, you mean the Starstreak HVM (High Velocity Missile)? Mounted on a Multi Missile vehicles? Cause I remember 3 Thors, a German Mortar WW2, The Multi Missile vehicle and a battleship that's about it.

I found a old towed artillery the US made back in the Korean war, it's a Atomic artillery... I've seen the video, a artillery that can do nuclear explosions... seriously.

So you mean like in the movie Iron man with there experimental missile that shot 1000 missiles out of a big missile (except this case a lot smaller and 2 rockets.)

Hmm I've used to watch future weapons, but I don't have discovery anymore. The one I found interesting was E-SMAW a interesting rocket launcher wouldn't you say? lol

Just gonna leave a comment about the previous conversation/discussion.

I myself like WW3: NS because of the fact that it is entirely modern war. We really can't accurately predict what's to come (unless you have top secret military files, which I doubt) and it sort of ruins the good ol' feeling of modern warfare. If you're going to make it have futuristic style technology, you might as well just not make it a world-war RISK map style map. (Ie, The Darkening Wars?) This map's good for what it is, and I like the wide array of modern technologies available.

Game starts at year 2010, by that time most of weapons that now are on late development stage should be already finished. Just look at Future Weapons website or show... Of course, futuristic technology could be like expiremental units from Supremme Commander - really powerful, buildable on highest tech tree and expensive. Like Nato and Communists both would have 3 futuristic weapons.

I hope you'll add in rankings if you can, like, the 'weapon upgrades' except set the upgrades from 'iron Forged Swords' to the ranks after certain amounts of kills... Please...

what do you mean by ranks? for individual units (like starcraft) or for the player in general?

if u mean ranks for players then no thanks, cause i dont want this to become a Modern Warfare-wannabe (no offense directed at anyone =D)

...and keeping a kill count for each unit would mean a heap of work involved + considering that there are usually 500+ units on the map, this can be quite a strain on the wc3 engine

its best if the map size remains < 5 mb atm though cause any higher will mean that its gonna be hard for new players to dl (who usually leave once they hear "its a large map")

Okay, I'm back from vacation and I got the idea about funny quests.
First of all, remove those dungeons you have there. They are just a useless, non realistic obstacle that disturbs the main game. Better make some kinda like unicue defence towers (Like Virus sprayer for Secret lab and Laser turret for Arctic base) that after death summon a Boss (Skavuska on the laser Shilka and mad scientist on a giant dinosaur ^^), that will give THE PRIZE to player who killed the boss.

And then, quest chains! When you Get BFG, you destroy that damn rock and get Arthur's sword that allows you to summon knights of the round table! Then you send your knights to get holy grail from Ierusalim and it (It restores morale of infantry and revives vehicle crew)!
When you kill Skavuska, you find a inforamtion about secret WW2 nazi base in Berlin where they created T-virus. There, you find that Nazies had a Toxic rocket stash in Brazil!
Only the begining of this quest line will have a protection and boss, others will be unprotected, but only unit with special items (like maps & plans) can detect that building, get a information about it and give it to secret research facility to get control over it if enemy wont take those plans for themselves! The biggest problem is that territory may already be takken over by your enemy and you'l have to fight him!

Hahahhahahhaa... I lol'ed it loud.
The idea is pretty nice man. Specially the map thing.
Like, I can pre-place the Nazi Base somewhere in the amazon jungle, and hide them. After you kill general Skavuska, you get a item named Nazi Maps & Plans, and then you have to search the jungle. If a soldier carrying the item enters the region near the Toxic Rocket Stash, it will revealed, but just tell me what happens next, does the player takes the control of the rocket stashes?
And same for ierusalem, the knights must be carrying the map to ierusalem, but what happens when they reach there before getting the holy grail? They fight against the persian army of Saladin? or Xerxes? lol

And what about this 3rd quest line (Hardest one):
You must destroy evil scientist ion cannon in Nort of South... well, on a place opposite to that Soviet lab quest place. When you destroy it, scientist (Another one, not that one from BFG part, maybe you should give names for them?) runs away to the secret villian league HQ with Ion cannon, and you get only his robot factory. You go to Sachalin and destroy Bin Laden, Hitler's twin brother and Ronald McDonald (Okay, someone else, like Lenin or Bush Jr.), get the Ion cannon and other cool things of mass fun, and then you can activate the weird beacon in that hideout that calls aliens! then the whole world is under attack by UFOs, like in that movie "Independence day" or something! When you destroy all of the UFOs, you need to destroy the Mothership, and after you desteroy it, you can train enslaved aliens to fight and give alien weapons to your troops!
