How i see it, a leader of this type of project where it's a bunch of ppl trying to make a cool game
together don't have to make all the descisions or hold all the power.
Just someone managing the project by gathering the different material, keeping track of the process, updating and motivating the different participants and take care of the recruitment process is what i'd expect from a leader in this type of project
But hey is this really the priority atm?
We don't even seem close to making a descision about what type of game this will be, maybe if we descide on a theme first it could be easier to come up with a fitting genre/type of gameplay?
Themes mentioned so far AFAIK:
Murloc theme
Mage/Warlock theme
Interplanetary Human VS Alien
Super Mario World
Some other suggestions:
Submerged/Waterworld
Egyptian mythology
Greek mythology
Norse mythology
Gladiators
Dragons
Medieval knights and bandits
Fantasy(dwarves, elves, orcs, ents etc.)
Futuristic/space age
Superheroes
Shapeshifters
Come with ur suggestions aswell and let us know what theme you'd like to follow
I'd like several of these themes, my favourites being:
-Mage/Warlock theme
-Gladiators
-Dragons
-Shapeshifters
Kinda depends on what genre/type of gameplay we'll be going for though^^
I like games where you control 1 unit(maybe a couple more if f.ex. ur main unit can summon stuff) and work on making that unit really strong by ugrading certain abilities/aspects of it.
And maybe with stuff you pick up aswell....the most important(imo) is to make the player feel like he/she is sculpturing and growing his/her own superhero which you play with the way you modified it to work best

Sounds very RPG-ish, and i guess it kinda is, but it can be executed in several different ways to fit many different genres
