Wc3 anti-cheat? Bans?

What's up with Bnet? Warden Rumors floating... - DotA Allstars Discussion

I've heard that Blizzard has recently activated its anti-cheat tool Warden. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warden_(software)

It says that it bans 3rd party tools, but atm I only have seen bots to be banned, but what for VCK or LC? Can I get banned for them, cause they are also 3rd party tools?

So it seems that it "disconnects" you from Bnet after you've been hosting for 2mins, so nobody cant join the game.

Well the last news I've heard is that all bots have been removed..I know that VCK, DR, LC, autorefresher are still allowed..

Yes they are allowed, but when you have been hosting more than 2 minutes with 3rd party program, your server is automatically removed from Battle.net, so nobody cant join it anymore unles you remake.

This will likely result in a few people who are playing LOAP saying. . ."WTF Why the hell did blizzard just ban me for going GOD?"
Generally, I would strongly advise that blizzard does not monitor custom games as it is likly to result in glitches whereby certain maps are prone to banning you.

Anyway, I hate this for WC3 as it closes all the SWAT host bots and stuff which really help a lot. I love this for D2 as it rapes all the dupers and bot users.

Honestly, next to map hack and micro bots, you can not cheat in WC3, and in custom games both sometimes are pointless or give only minor advantages. Blizzard should work on D2 more than WC3 custom games as in D2 you can do a hell of a lot more harm with cheats and tools than with WC3.
