Helloy guys, I recently baught a new laptop with windows 8.

Installing wc3 was without any problems (original cds), and even playing offline works without any trouble.

But when I try to connect to battle-net it's just not connecting.. just endless loading...

Do you have any idea what could cause this issue, or how to solve this?

What I already tryed:
- run as admin
- set compatibility for wc3-run back to WinXp
- deactivated fire wall & antivir

May be I have to downgrade DirectX? It was DirectX 11 from default.

If you have windows 8 and it's working please post what you have done to make it run :)

Physically impossible. The kernel does not support anything below 11.

It is most likely being caused by some form of firewall. Maybe an inbuilt one? Since it seems strange that W8 would do anything differently from W7 when it comes to network.

So what there is to do?

Try turning off windows defender.

Thx again :d .. but didnt work too :s
