Yap, there will still need to be islands... and Im still not sure about those mountains. I mean there's no evidence that they were there, and if they were where did such a landmass(that was tall enough there was snow on top)go to when the world shattered.

there where mountains in the south. the Frost Wolf Clan lived there.
and BTW the Planet torn apart with magic.
the place where the portals were isn't destroyed.
and the mountains where possible on a earth plate.:thumbs_up:

Yeah, but as Alagremm mentioned, the isles still need to be added, and details will be added, such as a minor "icon" or statue for the dark portal, shattra and the other main locations ^^

Zerox, TToR is quite interesting, and very well-made, however I just hate their models, and they have no campaign. First I was thinking about making it only races, but then I changed my mind.
So we will first make the mod itself: races, AI, maybe UI and screen models and stuff.
Loading screens perhaps... And then in the second version we will make the campign.
Or we can even do something like this:
v0.1 - Beta
v1.0 - mod itself
v2.0 - with the orc clans campign
v3.0 - with the draenei campign, and so on...

However we should also make the demo to keep up the interest.

dunno how you guys gonne make the menu screens but when you take them from wow don't use temple of karabor or auchindoun because those buildings changed a lot.
if you want Orc Lore base use Nagrand because Hellfire Peninsula became red long after the defeat of the Draenei

i say use something in Nagrand or old Shadowmoon Valley because those plases where importaint during the war in Old Hellfire didn't a lot happen only main fortress was there and Throne. not a lot draenei lived there.

Hey, we had quite a few ideas about such things.
By the way, had a new idea.. Instead of using Grunts, since the Orc Clans were more primordial and calm in those days, and not quite as militaristic, maybe a lighter, yet surlier, unit would suffice. I was thinking we could have the Huntsman, a tough Orc unit that replaces the Grunt as the basic trooper of the Orcs. Just an idea, but I think it works well. They wouldn't wear much, or any armor, and maybe just a loincloth of even cloth "pants", and possibly a torque or an ancestral totem or icon. Using a spear or bone club, these large Orcs are responsible for dealing with wild beasts and other problems. Understand me? Just an idea, by the way.

By bone club, I mean a club, but unlike the overly-fantasy type used by Ogres, and other races in WCIII.

Sorry I've been inactive for a while. THW crashed meh internet for a little while :/

Anyway, I've decided to go back through this thread and re-discover my past ideas for Heroes that I've suggested. After doing so, I will then and them to an album on my profile specifically for such concept items. I'll also post new ones here and in the album, and other concepts I can think of, as this is still just the concept phase (dont take this last remark the wrong way, it seems to me like we're moving at a really good pace).

dunno if replacing grunt is realy needed because when the orcs attacked the Draenei they made a much Metal armor and Weapons.

and don't call it Thunderlord Riders but Sythegore Arm Riders because the Thunderlord didn't had more Riders then other clans befor the Second war.

Well, first off, they weren't a bunch of military-minded brutes at the time, so Grunts might not fit as well. They may have used armor once they underwent the rage though.

Yeah, I know we're keeping Grunts, since they're as much a trademark as Peons, Blackrock, FOR THE HORDE and Work Complete! It was just a suggestion I made if you really wanted to make this mod really work at being realistic and more connected to 'Lore'. And Troynl, it was only after they conquered the Draenei and other of their fellow natives that they REALLY established an actual military system, instead of just huge swathes of Green bearing down onto the enemy with mindless charges and brutality, although those traits were incorporated into their racial strategy.

Arthas_King, if you make the melee maps, please make them a lot better then the stuff you uploaded, because those are, in my opinion.. kind of bad. We need something a lot better, so if you do so, get someone to help you.

Netherstorm
Zangarmarsh
Shadowmoon Valley.

Note that Outland is PART of Draenor, there were probobly many many other regions, be creative, if not stated make up your own names for them and be creative!

Of course not however creativity not always is going according to lore.

There will be such tilesets:

  • Grassland(Hellfire Peninsula uncorrupted)
  • Hellfire Peninsula(Corrupted)
  • Terrokar Forest(+Shadowmoon Valley uncorrupted)
  • Bone Wastes(Possibly, most likely will be a part of corrupted Shadowmoon valley or Terrokar tileset)
  • Shadowmoon Valley(Corrupted)
  • Nagrand(No changes here)
  • Fields of Farahlon(Future netherstorm, looks a bit like Nagrand)
  • Zangarmarsh(Also no changes here)
  • Blade's Edge Mountains
  • Apexis Fields(This one is actually made by me - its a theorized land west of BE Mts.)
  • Underground(Draenei dungeon, f.e. Auchindoun)
  • Underground(Natural caves, and with a little help from doodads they may become Oshu'gun)

But ya forgot thee Spirit Fields around, but tha shining sun and grasses will be too, lad!

Oh, and I wont name it Auchindoun because it will also be used for other dungeons)

Ah, well, I count RoC's screen as action. Major movement, SFX like explosions, so on. Maybe an Orc on the plains or something, tossing an axe around?
