An intense ship combat game that requires some skill

Introduction

The map is called "Uncharted Waters".
The name comes from the fact that players control their ship in a random generated terrain.

Every time you play, the map is new. The host can select what kind of map is going to be generated
by selecting map size, amount of islands, boundary type, etc...

The goal is usually to be the last player alive. However, the host can choose the victory conditions (amount of lives, max kills).
Also people can ally each other (unless the host sets it otherwise).

You will win the game when all players are allied among themselves or dead. OR if max kills have been set,
the first player to reach that limit wins.

What is special in this game?

First of all the game is very customizable.
  • There are many settings for the host to modify (see the game feature list below or play the game).

Unique User Interface (see screenshots, play game)

Realistic gameplay

Unique movement and combat systems.
  • The ship has a realistic control system and the cannons must be fired manually.
The combat and movement are not automated like in normal wc3 maps. Instead, you must lead your ship to victory.

Neither, people just don't really like to comment on maps they download and not much people visit the Development forums.
I had other things to do yesterday, so I didn't test your map yet. I will and I will post my opinion.

If you want a decent map review ask Ash, he writes really nice reviews.

Game updated to version 1.28!

Version Changes 1.28

  • Changed the background music
    • The new background music should fit in the game a lot better than it's predecessor

The best ship game ever. I just love this game, and I like games that needs some skills like this one.
Thanks!
Ready for duel, Kitabatake?
Any time!
This map is so awesome :pir:

Best map EVAAR!!

10 / 5
Thanks!

I'm sooo inspired by this awesomity of a map, that I'm going to use the cannon system in my map. But I'm going to use 3 cannons instead of just 2.
Good luck with it!

From a terrainer's point of view, I wonder how you got those islands to be visible under the water. I mean, usually in warcraft, the deep water is completely non-opaque, you can't see anything through it. But somehow you managed to make it work. How?

My map is pretty finished! But it need 1 more thing...

1 request:

I want that UI in Uncharted Waters!!!! How did you get it? or how did you make it? And where to you implement/edit UI? Tell me where? I've got photoshop and can make everything, but need a knowhow!!!

Well if you can upload the UI in a texture pack or something, I'll of course give you the credits for it. I'll use it in my map to give it a special ship feeling.
