Story
Background Story
Twelve peaceful years have passed since The Great War ended. The war that lasted centuries but no man could recall the reason of. The age of despair, bloodshed, loss and grief is now past. The new age brought the opportunity for human kingdoms to rise, as humanity has broken free from the grip of the dragons.

This story focuses on Kingdom of Balgaron and three famous Dragon Slayers: Phodom, Fradz and Galeoth. Each of them starts their journey in different places, but they will eventually meet eachother and join forces along the path. Together, the three are forced to go a conflict beyond their imaginations.

Lead them into an epic world, guided by a strong storyline that covers hate, love, war and peace.

The honored Dragon Slayer Phodom gave up his life as a warrior and began a new life with his wife and his children, far away from the capital of Balgaron in the small town called Dalli. All his plans were going smooth and easy until someone steps into his life and changes everything...Fradz is a young energetic Dragon Slayer known for his short temper and bad manners. This silly thief is a very powerful warrior and it is said that he even killed powerful dragons single-handedly. After the war, Fradz went on many journeys, but one day a mysterious voice told him to travel to the famous Dragon Inn to meet someone who was once very close to him. Fradz accepts this new journey, as he knows that he cannot decline it...Galeoth, the son of a legendary Dragon Slayer lived up to his father's name and became one of the leaders of Balgaron. After the war, Galeoth still believed that the war was not yet over. His obsession to find dragons led him towards the Icy Mountains where he is about to uncover a horrible secret that will change the fate of mankind...

'Critical Chance' attribute added! It starts from 5% and it can be increased various ways.

Improved chapter 3's ending dialogues (outdated).
Vacuum's area of effect reduced. You cannot grab items from far away anymore.
Background stories and so-called "Books" are completely added to all chapters in this version.
Every single Spell Book spell has been added to the campaign!
Many new items and item changes. For example, superior items, which costs a huge amount of gold, are added to middle chapters; however, they're worth it!
Improved the multiboard a lot. Now it is more informative and better organized.
Combat kings once again rebalanced and changed. The major thing is that now they all cost 2 Honor Points.
Espers improved and made even stronger. Please come and tell me what you think about the Espers now. I've seen that players don't use them and I really want to make them useful.
Many changes to the starting packs! Now they should be balanced, every single one of them!
Stealing improved; now it shows the percentages.
Easter Eggs added; currently just 2 but there will be a total of 12 Easter Eggs. Check them all out!
Mystic Storm and Frost Shard recoded.
From this version onwards, a number of items can only be bought once. Choose wisely and try not to lose those items. You cannot buy them again!
Small changes to abilities, but not much. I plan to once again balance them in the coming minor versions. For example, I was thinking to completely remove Bleed, Brittle and Stagger. What do you think?

Now every fourth ranked synthesis Item will require a Zozi to reduce player from getting too many powerful items at early chapters.
Now each STR gives 20 health instead of 25.
Now each INT gives 10 mana instead of 15.
Chapter 4 Wisps are now easier to catch
Black merchant can only be seen between 24:00 to 6:00 o'clock.

Chapter 7 is now opened.
Boss points are now removed from the game. You can still change your Boss points to Honor points by writing this code: "-change".
Remade all item, ability, spell, esper and all other descriptions: they are now shorter and easier to read.
There is only fire, ice, and lightning spells now.
Improved multiboard by a lot, added some new stats to it also.
Added new combat kings and new spells. Combat Kings now only go up to level 5.
Added some more tactical meaning to the battle: some abilities can do or use buffs called Brittle, Stagger, and Bleed. For example some other abilities can use these buffs to deal increased damage.
Now Special abilities will increase by every level instead of every fifth level.
All professionals are now universal.
The Critical Damage bonus starts from 100% instead of 0%. The chance to do a Critical Hit is still 10%.
Once again, more items.
New Spell System: Instead of spell books you can easily use spells from left corner just like potions.
The file size is now bigger because I imported some resources to the campaign. The expected file size in the end will be about 120mb to 140mb. I hope the file size won't be a problem.
New balanced attack and armor types: Sharp, Blunt, Magic, Light, Medium, Heavy, Sturdy and Elemental.
Now some enemies are categorized as Summoned, Undead, Drgon and Monster. Some items and abilities can do extra effects to them.
Now enemies won't do their abilities while stunned.
The campaign is now optimized and protected. All thanks to Shadow Daemon for creating the awesome "campaign optimizator" program".
Fixed some bugs.




New Steal System.
Most of the item descriptions are updated.
Some of the items are remade.
Upgraded Lucky Boxes and put new unique items.
And a lot of bug fixes.




Fixed a starting bug from chapter 3. It should now work properly.

Now there are only two magical balls instead of three. Also now they give solid magic bonus instead of percent.

Added Game Panel where you can for example eat food, move your boxes and cast espers.
And many, many other changes. Once again so many changes I simply cannot remember everything.

Six new Galeoth abilities: Chill of the Frost Master, Frozen Storm, Icy Barrage, Inner Light, Mesmerizing Ice Crystal and Piercing Shard.
Combat Kings are remade. All high tier combat kings aren't remade yet.
After every cinematic units you had selected before will be selected for you automatically.
Now quests will give experience like before.
Fixed chapter 5 ending.
Chapter 1 Boss, Chapter 1 Elite Boss, Chapter 3 Boss and Chapter 3 Elite Boss battles are now improved.
Fixed Code Puzzle.
Fixed Kaza Leader Dialog.
Remade Chapter 5 Elite Boss Fight and fixed few problems of it.
Now Main Quest 3 can be completed right after watching The Bridge Cinematic at chapter 5.

Now Agility Stat will give critical dmg and evasion chance.

Fixed a bug and now Black Market sells the correct item: Third Hand. Now you finally can actually get the Thief Set at chapter 2.

Fixed Omega Orb and now it should summon Elemental Golems every 15 to 90 seconds.

- I have not edited chapter 6-10 for ages. This means they are exactly the same as before. Next, when I'll have chapter 6 dialog texts from my translator, I start to remade chapter 6
- Chapter 11 will be, when chapter 6-10 are remade
- Beta will be, when I have finished chapter 11, epiloge and prologue

Summon system

  • Summon system, is a system that gives bonuses for summons, depending of caster's stats.
  • There are currently two summons: Fire Elemental(Phodom) and Ice Elemental(Galeoth).
  • Every caster's 25 agility points increases summon's attack and movement speed by 5%.
  • Every caster's 25 intelligence points increases summon's maximum mana by 5% and magic damage by 10%.
  • Every caster's 25 strength points increases summon's maximum hit points by 5% and attack damage sligtly.
  • All bonuses are up to 250 stats.

I completed Chapters 1 and 2. Suggestions and Bugs found below:
Chapter One:
*Suggestion: Move FireGolem spell to another directory of choosing because now there are 3 spells to choose from and some spells as Fire Shield are alone. Please give us a choise :D
*Bug: The Ground near the Ogre mountain does'nt drop item when dig.
Chapter Two:
*Something: Fradz's HydroShell's text below is not colored. (I don't know is it a bug or mistake but I put it here.)
*Suggestion: I think a quest with Madeila's eye and mana belt from the Mighty Hydra can be combinated with Molson (the alone punk) and for a reward he can give you the thirt part of Archaon's set. This way will be cooler and little harder to get Archaon's set ;)


Aeroblyctos the teleporting system is cool and usefull, but the names of the distinations names are difficult to remember or understand and there is too long waiting when you choose to teleport.

I have an idea for the item boxes mentioned on the firest page^^ (somebody complained about having only 6 inventory slots...)

If you every played SACRED you know that there is a blue box in every city where you can put items in. then you can go into another town and take these items from the blue box which is there.

You need some kind of trigger which creates an item for each box when you put an item in one of them.

That would be cool

The spells are not just randomly put. That category is actually curse/summon/other. There will be more option in later versios... When I have done some new spells.

In middle of Ogre Mountain? I looked at it and it seems to work... It should give you "Medium Health Tube".

You have a point. Especially Madeila's eye is so useless item... But we have to remember that it is one of the first items I have ever created for the campaign. :p

I think Archeon set is ok, but perhaps I should do another item set, huh?

Your suggestions is a bit weird I think. I think the current one is better, because player can move whenever he/she wants to the position of heroes. Also, there are 2 box/character which means you totally have 6x3 + 6x6 = 54.

The real system includes some patches with extra GUI functions!
It can store items in gamecache with only 1 function!!!!

In where you see something wrong with the text? When you choose spell... Or when you put a new ability... or?

The problem is appiering every time. The text is not colored when you are actualy playing.
About the Molson: I think he is special in some way give him a cause to live :pal: Like a good editor I think you added him in the begining of the barbarian city building. [RAINBOW]Molson[/RAINBOW] must have some job, quest, talant etc.

I had that system too, but now i have a better and harder one =3
Well... I don't know have time and patient for that... + it doesn't work with game cache + flame phoenix "is going" already a system for the campaign...

Chapter 12 is only a test map. Chapter 11 is the last chapter, but as I have said before, I'll remake prologue and I will make epilogue. Epilogue is the one who ends the campaign. It's only about 5-20 min long cinematic.

In chapter 11 you can buy special stuff, etc, etc.

How to play the campaign:

1. Install Blizzard Entertainment's Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne on your computer.
2. Download the newest versions of the Warcraft 3.
3. Download the campaign from the official site or other sites.
4. Simply extract the campaigns in the Warcraft III\Campaigns directory.
5. In Frozen Throne use the "Custom Campaign" Menu to play The Chosen Ones.
6. Before you start to play the campaign it is recommended to have a name that you are satisfied. Your name will be be shown in different places.

This campaign is just great, 10/10
No, I don't think the campaign deserves 10/10 just yet. It's not even finished. However, I would like to ask you if you have any suggestions or any improvements to make the campaign better.

For example, you might have some nice mini-game ideas or new spell ideas?

Yeah, campaigns needs a lot of work. If you are lazy, campaigns are not your thing. When I started to make this campaign, I thought I could finish it in 2 months. Now it's been 14 months when I started, and still I'm far away from the full release.



Campaign is updated from version 2.8 alpha to 2.9 alpha.

great campaign, love the anti cheat system but some wonders, when are you going to get from alpha to beta stages? ;)

nah really great, am at chapter 8 now ... sigh a new version and I'm on the 2.7b lol

edit: for the reason that you would think me as a fool, I usally don't look on the updates until it's too late ;) still I think 2.7b is fine for me ...

and also this game kept me up some nights... takes a very long time to finish :)

When all chapters are remade(still 6-10), chapter 11 finished, prologue finished and epilogue finished. All this takes about 1-3 month.

That's what I'm planning. A campaign that takes days and days to finish. So it's like a real game, free, and most of all: even you can change the campaign by just sending a message to me. I'll listen everyone.

Suggestions
  • The first - 6 levels are easy/short. 5-10 minutes on each chapter if I wanted to rush it.
  • Could use some voice acting, the cinematics are very long. PLEASE add a ESC command to skip them! They can get very tedious and annoying sometimes.
    • The spelling errors/bad english are hilarous sometimes, please don't fix them.
  • I think Phodom's manacost for his enchanted blade spell should be lowered. It's such a waste where Frad's damage is like insane and I prefer to save mana for the Fire Shield.
  • Phodom's Ultimate is a nice AOE, but extremely weak damage.
  • For the 7th Chapter, with the city. Could you make the city visible? It's a epic challenge to figure out where the god damn market is. (Needs more stores >_<)
  • Alot of Frad'z skills become useless since his DP's by the 7th chapter is insane. (Including items... Excalibur... Set Items... etc...)
  • Perhaps a little help system for beginners? The golem in the 1st Chapter almost killed me, I didn't realize his little AOE damage was beating the crap out of me.
  • The abilites of these guys could use some tweaking/remaking.
  • Info and help in the quests?
  • The cinematics could use some more realistic movements, head turnings, and Special Effects (Boss Fight at Chapter 6).
  • The riddle puzzle in Chapter 7 needs a reset button or something >_<. To hard to figure out.
    • Same as the disco stuff, my little bro go trapped in their. I got pissed off after like 20 minutes going through invisible walkways (you know what I mean).
    • Better quality chapter screens.
    • The quests are a little buggy, when you complete it before you accept it. So it goes nuts, when mixing both cinematics at one time.

Good Points
  • Boring and fun!
  • Awesome usage of models, I haven't seen models that good. Xavon I think, the black dragon at the end of Chapter 3. Is the best.
  • Fradz!
  • Hard choices on items, it really pissed me off. But impressed me on what you should think is important in the end. (Excalibur, Son Set, etc...)
  • Fradz! Again...
  • First one I noticed while searching for Campaigns.
Note: I just realize that this post may pertain to a older version. But your map is still awesome!

Some bugs in 2.8
In chapter 2,the portal (in the epic boss's house) is not work.
In chapter 3,the elite boss's reword is the third son,but i find it in other place.

The version 2.9 will fixed these bugs?

Really...? That's possible in chapter 2, 3 and 4, but what about chapter 1 and 5? I think those two chapters they took a little more time than 10 minuta. But is it good thing? If somone wants to finish the campaign fast? I think it's good that player can choose to gather everything or just go with the story? That's what I'm at least aiming.

Could use some voice acting, the cinematics are very long. PLEASE add a ESC command to skip them! They can get very tedious and annoying sometimes.
I have said this many times before, I hate voice acting, because it always fails. That is why I won't put any voice acting. Oh wait a sec, one! When you are watching interlude you will hear when I speak something. About skip able cinematic, currently adding.

First I'd like to say this is probably the best and most fun storyline I've ever played in wc3. You really, really did an amazing job with it!

Some feedback,

1- Sometimes after saving and reloading when losing a boss fight the stage music won't properly start again until you beat the boss or restart the game. (this might be a wc3 problem?)

2- The game over music appears to play only on the first stage.

3- The second stage has no real direction for the optional quests at all. You might want to add an NPC at the camp who gives you some hints about them/where to find them.

4- In stage 3 the esper fight seems to lag slightly once the fight has gone on a while.

5- You might want to add a puzzle of sorts in stage 3 to reach the esper to make him a bit more hidden. (Unless there is one and I did it without knowing? I explored the map before finding him and beat the stage boss)

6- The ice queen boss fight doesn't seem quite as hard as it should be. This might be me/luck, though. Since she didn't seem easy, either.

7- The model for Xaveron seems a bit strange. (it makes me think of a demon or something more than a dragon) Maybe change it? (there was a very nice black wow dragon model that's almost the same thing so you could easily swap it out if you wanted without having to change anything else) Or is there a story reason for this? I haven't gotten far yet.

8- In stage 3 if you skip the esper intro cutscene he won't spawn at all. Thus making it impossible to complete the fight/leave.

I also wondered, do you plan on adding more espers? it seemed weird there was only one.
And do you fight Xaveron at the end of the game? He'd make one hell of a boss if you do!

Aeroblyctos! Why, why you did it again! I would have example a "quest can't be finished (when it's optional ofc ^^)" -bug, but this I HATE! Bug is, that in chapter 5, I finally started that boss fight, but skeleton that was mentioned did not appeared, and I just got stuck there! :con: Now my walkthrough can't be done, and campaign can't be continued. Do you test all bosses/chapter starts before releasing a version? This is 2nd time. :con: Sry for screaming. :zip: But I just can't believe that why at the end? =/

Yes, a bug that have been long time. In some chapter editor won't reconize the "game over" music at all. I think I need to remade "game over" music and add it to the campaign once again.

Chapter 3 is the shortest chapter of all. I think that's a good side that there are some variation in the chapters. If all is huge, it starts to be boring...

Yes, same problem with chapter 5 basic boss. Will be fixed for next version, just don't skip it. It's always same with new things... Bugs, bugs and bugs(I mean, skip cinematic is a pretty new thing in the campaign).

This is a pretty bad bug, but it can be bypass. Just, don't skip the cinematic. Then it will be fine, I hope people will reconize this, because I can't currently give new fast version because I already started to remade chapter 6. I hope next versions will be ready in a week or two. Then these bugs will be fixed including remaded chapter 6.

Oh I understand. Just for me it seemed hard to know what to do. I think that could be resolved by having an NPC or something who says "hey you might want to head this way" So you know where the optional quests are and stuff a bit easier.

Yeah, it might not be lag, though. Since that fight has alot going on. I don't seem to have delay issues, but it feels like things are moving less smoothly than they should be as the fight goes on. (Which is a constant thing due to the fact since the boss is pretty tough)

Can you give me the link to this model? I would like to see it.

Yes, there will be a battle against Xvareon. The boss battle have 6 stages. There will be also some solo battles. It will be awesome, when it's finished, that I can promise.
Is there a final boss fight right now? Or is that still pending?


On other suggestion I'd have is to consider giving the game some different music. Maybe from FF10 or FF12. The current music is a bit low quality, and at times seems a bit mismatched with other tracks in the game. (It isn't bad at all though, so maybe it's preference?)

In chapter 3,i found the third son on the right side of the open space.when i defeat the elite boss ,it's reword is the third son.It 's a bug?

Well, there's like three ways to cross the river so that's why there isn't a NPC or anything else to say what to do. I like that player have freedom, not just go in a pipe like in chapter 3 for example...

There might be too much effects with that fight. Should I reduce some effects? If yes, then I will reduce also effects from esper's also because they are the same thing.

The music is low quality because I made them so. I would not, the campaign would be at least 200 mb. I have also used FF10 and FF12 musics. Because chapter 6-10 are not remade, musics might also bug and be in wrong position in those chapters. Of course I would like to have more suggestions about the music, but because I have played so much different games and I have over 30gb game music I almost have like them all...

Here is the list to the musics. There you will see all musics what have been put to the campaign. Some may not been even used yet, because I have just remade chapter 1-5.

There should be some enemies, but they won't show up if you skip the cinematic. It's a bug that will be fixed.

Oh.In chapter 4,Phodom's spell "war cry" is lv 1.(version 2.9)
BTW...can i get the sliver sword in the other chapter?
You can get silver sword by doing this:
Start that quest, where merchant says that he lost his silver sword => find the sword southwest from the merchant in a chest, guarded by enemies (forgot their names :/) => go back to merchant => cinematic will appear, choose option (it was something like this, but I'm not 100% sure if this is correct, but at least you know what to do) "Say, that you found it, and it was broken" => by selecting that, you still get the reward + the sword, of course - point is, that you lie. That way you get silver sword. :wink:

I don't think there's too many effects. It doesn't only occur with the esper's overdrive spell. It might just be me, though. Since I didn't get any delays or anything during the fight.

Honestly I would go ahead and make the music high quality. It would be well worth the larger download to have it, IMO.
One track I think would fit really, really well in this is the boss theme from final fantasy 10. It was called enemy attack and track 15 on the OST. Not sure why, but the way you do bosses would really suit it nicely IMO.

I have a question. In chapter 4 how are you supposed to find the crazy tree boss those dragon hunters want to fight? (the elite quest) I looked all over the map and killed both of the big venus flytrap plants and never saw him. :(
I also wonder how to get the epic quest there. I noticed a cave entrance which I assume is the epic quest, but a barrier blocks the door and I couldn't get through it.

I think the current one is better, I just listened your suggestion. About high quality music, when the beta or the full versions is released, I can make another version with high quality music.

To do elite boss: Speak to dragon hunters => SEEK for 10 fairies (only 1 can be found at the time, when you find 1, other appears somewhere in the map) => you get an update for the quest, go near the cave into that place left from the cave (a place surronded by rocks) => you can see that the tree has arrived there, there comes a cinematic, watch it or not, then just kill it.

To do epic boss: NOTE! YOU HAVE TO KILL ELITE BOSS TO KILL EPIC BOSS! After you've beaten elite boss, it tells you (if you watch the cinematic =/), that it wants you to kill a dragon spirit (found in cave, it's the epic boss) => enter the cave and guess your way to a "room" and cinematic comes: you see a dragon spirit in that cinematic and blah blah, then when fight starts, note that you gotta kill him in 10 minutes, he doesn't attack, but has alot hp, so you gotta kill him fast (oh, he has blink too!).

That's the way to beat 'em! :cool:
