Story
Background Story
Twelve peaceful years have passed since The Great War ended. The war that lasted centuries but no man could recall the reason of. The age of despair, bloodshed, loss and grief is now past. The new age brought the opportunity for human kingdoms to rise, as humanity has broken free from the grip of the dragons.

This story focuses on Kingdom of Balgaron and three famous Dragon Slayers: Phodom, Fradz and Galeoth. Each of them starts their journey in different places, but they will eventually meet eachother and join forces along the path. Together, the three are forced to go a conflict beyond their imaginations.

Lead them into an epic world, guided by a strong storyline that covers hate, love, war and peace.

The honored Dragon Slayer Phodom gave up his life as a warrior and began a new life with his wife and his children, far away from the capital of Balgaron in the small town called Dalli. All his plans were going smooth and easy until someone steps into his life and changes everything...Fradz is a young energetic Dragon Slayer known for his short temper and bad manners. This silly thief is a very powerful warrior and it is said that he even killed powerful dragons single-handedly. After the war, Fradz went on many journeys, but one day a mysterious voice told him to travel to the famous Dragon Inn to meet someone who was once very close to him. Fradz accepts this new journey, as he knows that he cannot decline it...Galeoth, the son of a legendary Dragon Slayer lived up to his father's name and became one of the leaders of Balgaron. After the war, Galeoth still believed that the war was not yet over. His obsession to find dragons led him towards the Icy Mountains where he is about to uncover a horrible secret that will change the fate of mankind...

All abilities remade and new abilities: Battle Banner, Fiery Ball, Fire Power, Ultimate Sacrifice, Counter Attack, Energy Shield, High Strike, Crystal Plane, Galeoth's Order, Illusion Army, Magic Convert and Magical Fog.
'Critical Chance' attribute added! It starts from 5% and it can be increased various ways.
Now also Strenght increases Critical Damage just like Agility.
Chapter 5 Pumpking Quest's second cinematic updated.
Chapter 7 Epic Boss removed the terrain deforming to decrease lag.

Vacuum's area of effect reduced. You cannot grab items from far away anymore.
Background stories and so-called "Books" are completely added to all chapters in this version.
Every single Spell Book spell has been added to the campaign!
Many new items and item changes. For example, superior items, which costs a huge amount of gold, are added to middle chapters; however, they're worth it!
Improved the multiboard a lot. Now it is more informative and better organized.
Combat kings once again rebalanced and changed. The major thing is that now they all cost 2 Honor Points.
Espers improved and made even stronger. Please come and tell me what you think about the Espers now. I've seen that players don't use them and I really want to make them useful.
Many changes to the starting packs! Now they should be balanced, every single one of them!
Stealing improved; now it shows the percentages.
Easter Eggs added; currently just 2 but there will be a total of 12 Easter Eggs. Check them all out!

Now each STR gives 20 health instead of 25.
Now each INT gives 10 mana instead of 15.

Chapter 7 is now opened.
Boss points are now removed from the game. You can still change your Boss points to Honor points by writing this code: "-change".
Remade all item, ability, spell, esper and all other descriptions: they are now shorter and easier to read.
There is only fire, ice, and lightning spells now.
Improved multiboard by a lot, added some new stats to it also.
Added new combat kings and new spells. Combat Kings now only go up to level 5.
Added some more tactical meaning to the battle: some abilities can do or use buffs called Brittle, Stagger, and Bleed. For example some other abilities can use these buffs to deal increased damage.
Now Special abilities will increase by every level instead of every fifth level.
All professionals are now universal.
The Critical Damage bonus starts from 100% instead of 0%. The chance to do a Critical Hit is still 10%.
Once again, more items.
New Spell System: Instead of spell books you can easily use spells from left corner just like potions.
The file size is now bigger because I imported some resources to the campaign. The expected file size in the end will be about 120mb to 140mb. I hope the file size won't be a problem.
New balanced attack and armor types: Sharp, Blunt, Magic, Light, Medium, Heavy, Sturdy and Elemental.
Now some enemies are categorized as Summoned, Undead, Drgon and Monster. Some items and abilities can do extra effects to them.
Now enemies won't do their abilities while stunned.
The campaign is now optimized and protected. All thanks to Shadow Daemon for creating the awesome "campaign optimizator" program".

Has anyone completed the tower mini game at chapter 7? Anyone? Do you think it's too hard? Or is it okay? Need more opinions before I start to change anything.

I completed without problems.Just there is a tactic to use tower spells.:) I cant complete circle game, just 1 and 2 level, (and 2 level is just luck) next is hard to me...may be i have not enough brains...would u like to add a solution of this game, so people like me will can see how to solve this?

And i think, there must be a option to collect all legendary and myth items in Ch 7, when u save your money from the begining, do no use it until Ch 6 or 7, answer corect ridle questions, and use all artifacts who increase money gaining on creeps and boses.So please balance this to make it possible.

I have completed every single mini-game in Chapter 7, they all involve some kind of strategy. The tower game is actually rather easy, all you have to do is abuse a little Warcraft 3 mechanics.

You target for every single creep that is to the left of the tower and ignore every single one to the right. This way, the creeps at the top of the circle will block the creeps at the right side of the circle, making the flow much more slower than before. After that, it's a simple matter of not leaking any creeps, which is easy because there will be less creeps than before. Heck, the creeps might even stop moving once in a while because too many units in War3 means less likely to move properly.

I use this tactic in the circle game: put a char next to the middle circle so that he can adjust the color of the center circle and the 4 circles beside. We have to step into 4 circle at the corners, so that they all become green and the colors of the circles between them became the same with the middle one. Well, it's not complicated... just remember the similarity between the roles of 4 corner circles so to do the work in a symmetrical way.

I don't understand why, but I can not find Fishthern the Mighty in chap 5. I have killed all elite and epic bosses in that chapter, does it prevent the mini-boss from appear? Could anyone help me pls

congratulations on this campaign :) i really enjoyed playing this. This is by far the best map in its genre ive ever seen ^^ I like that u give options for abilities, tons of sidequests, an immense ammount of different items and special stuff, a great storyline...
the only ennoying thing is the insane load time :p 5/5

Yea, i have the same problem...when i beat them just cant leave arena...may be is bug, or may be there is something else that we dont know...

In chapter 3 the epic boss area was too difficult. I was able to complete the first room's puzzle. But when I tried to solve the second room (blue and red lights) I tried for 90 minutes but wasn't able to complete it. Omega orb and the end were 2 places I simple could not get to...

Got to say that you have improved this a lot from the time I last played. Now the f1 F2 etc. buttons are doing what the text did earlier. Great improvement.

Bug 1: boss use instant death spell every 20-30 seconds, and I die 3-4 time with the best item (2000-2300hp), so this spell is too powerful for normal boss fight.

Bug 2: Game will instant crash with Fatal error if you kill him while he have debuff on you or he is about to cast instant death on you.

This happen in previous version too (1.6d) !!

man, this is not a bug.there is about 3-4 seconds until boss drop the spell.I think is enough to avoid, just run nothing special.If is hard for u play low difficulty.I think is better solution, a? Peace

I actually love this campaign. The dialogues are very nice, I like the terrain, fighting system is nice (even though at some times at difficulty easy it's nearly unbelievable hard like invincible super fast regenerating Northrendwarriors in the Teamarena) and so on. It would take to long to praise every single detail, so let's just say I'm extremely grateful.
Just two things:
Is there any way to reduce the loading times even just a bit? 2-3 minutes minimum are just a bit to long for me... especially when you die very often and don't want to play on the lowest difficulty. I'm pretty sure that my hardware has more then enough power to handle this but somehow does not use it. Maybe because wc3 is just to old and somehow limitates the used resources.
Other information: I have not done any kind of modification and don't have any clue how to do anything special with this game, so I guess there are a few ways to improve.

And: In chapter 6: The quest with the ghosts who wants you to create a soul absorbing staff. What kind of mana potion does he want? I had all the materials, my mana potions were "huge mana potion" or the next level of mana potions after the huge ones (forgot the name). I tryed with both, but nothing happened when I equipped one of my characters with the needed material and walked towards him. I'm pretty sure that I had the right staff and so on, checked everything twice!

I'm sorry for not finding anything with the search function, but well, the searching results didn't answer anything/ I had no fitting key terms that could lead me to a good result.

Ps: I'm sorry for heavy grammar and spelling mistakes, I'm not a native speaker.

I think you miss the points:
1, it cause instant crash with fatal error
2, it is instant death spell, I guess you still die with 9999999 hp
3, it is NOT Epic NOR Elite boss... elite boss's spell cannot kill me with one hit.

again, it cause instant crash with fatal error, this may something to do with "instant death" spell (it would crash if it is 1000dmg , 2000dmg or 3000dmg spell

Shadow Daemon is currently doing a campaign optimizator and with the new program the loading time will be shortened a lot.

I check the battle and I'll do some great changes there.

Ok, so an explanation is needed for these puzzles. What about these?

Puzzle #1: In this puzzle you must find a correct color code for the circles so that the way forward opens.

Puzzle #2: You must find a way to walk trough the blackness. The right color will give you the correct path.

Puzzle #3: You must find out a way to defeat the both golems to complete the third stage.

Bug 2: Game will instant crash with Fatal error if you kill him while he have debuff on you or he is about to cast instant death on you.

Just keep them away from each other or keep them close(I don't remember how it went actually) so they don't have that insane regeneration.

This campaign will move to full versions after all chapters and interludes are done. So next summer you'll enjoy that. Still 3 chapters to do and I'm over 50% with chapter 8. Further I go easier the job of my will become(smaller chapters in the end).

Also the dialogue is 90% overall done. Story is 98% decided.

I think I found another bug, even if it's not a really an important one.
In chapter... erm.. I guess 5, when Phodom and Fradz meet, the Vampire teeth that can be found in the basement replicate itself after they dropped. About 100 times or so, they arrange themselves into a nice square. You can get thousands of gold out of it :D

About the ghost in chapter 6:
I didn't notice that there are potions that increase your mana permanently for 50 so I thought that I needed a normal mana potion that regenerates the mana points. A kind user showed me where the right potion was.
About the mana potion there is to say, that it does not dissappear after usage, not even by creating the staff. Every character can only use it once though.
Oh, and is it normal that every stealable item from the bosses in the game appears about five minutes at the place you killed him, in case you didn't steal the item? You can even see it appear because the place get's viewable as if there was one of your characters.

I added one that kind of potion to chapter 6, but it's meant that you create one with Alchemist Profession.

Oh, and is it normal that every stealable item from the bosses in the game appears about five minutes at the place you killed him, in case you didn't steal the item? You can even see it appear because the place get's viewable as if there was one of your characters.
Nope, I still haven't figured how to fix this problem.

Does this happen in every chapter?

Yep, it works everytime.
Problems just occur, when you can't reach the place afterwards, like in the arena in the last chapter, the cave in chapter 5 with John who transforms into a doom lord or other boss fights like that. Then you can't get the item.
And about the alchemy: How are you supposed to get the recipe for the mana potion? I nearly dug everything out but never saw it. Or where can you get some recipes? I only found one for experience, life and strength potion.

I've played through the campaign and found a few mistakes in the story cinematics (in the castle) in the last chapter. Though I would like to show you where, I can't remember the exact words and I'm just to lazy to reload everything and watch through every line. Could you tell me how I could see the dialogues easier, without watching the cinematics? Then I could show you what I mean.

In chapter 6 there is this quest with the secret meeting of the thieves. In the quest text it tells that one of the persons you have to inform lives in the Green Garden. I guess you meant the Green District because I found the last guy there.

About my overall impressions of the campaign:
I really liked it and loved every second of playing it. Especially the last chapter, which I played for three days because I wanted to solve as much quests and complete as much sets as possible (I gave up after the 40th try to win the third car race though). The dialogues are very good, sometimes brilliant, for example every time Fradz and Galeoth talk, the dialog between the Epic Boss and Fradz in chapter two, or nearly every dialog with Fradz, the dialog between Phodom and Fradz when he tells him that he's after a serial chicken killer and so on. I had to laugh lots of times because of that and lots of these dialogs made me smile. The scenery is great every time, the story is really unpredictable: I'm still confused who takes which part in that story and the motives behind every action (well, not the parts like Galeoth and Phodom but what's Xvareon doing, what has Talloon got to do with everything and so on). That makes me very excited about the next chapters and how you're going to inform the player about every motive and every character who has a role in this play. The whole Item-Crafting part is superb! The only thing I would request is something that shows, that one item can be used in some kind of recipe. In my second passage through the game (gave up in chapter 6 due to money *-*) I was to afraid to sell anything because there was the chance that it could be used for another item. But well, I guess that's an individual wish, because I can understand those who say, that this is part of the game so you have to pay attention to every single thing you do. The riddles and puzzles definitely were nice. I liked them a lot because they enriched the whole campaign with variety. The fighting system with the different abilities was well made, I can't say anything about balance though because I'm not really good when it comes to judging something like this. So all in all, it was brilliant! I only can congratulate you making such a nice campaign.

I usually edit them time after time till I'm satisfied :D
And yes, all of them drop. But not immediately, you have to wait some time after their corpses dissappear, then the item appears. I never stole any item (except the ones that I wasn't able to reach after I killed the NPC with the item). Next time I'll try by using the stealing method.
Thanks for the Recipelist, I knew there was some things I didn't notice.

And you don't need to answer to Thief-Set or Windy Staff Question. I found them. Same goes for the fourth part of the animal set. And thank you very much for answering my questions. I'm really greatful for that.

is there a problem with hive workshop becouse it shows there are 242 pages and there is no pages from 191 to 242 and when i click 242 it returns me to 241 :(

And about the alchemy: How are you supposed to get the recipe for the mana potion? I nearly dug everything out but never saw it. Or where can you get some recipes? I only found one for experience, life and strength potion.
You must make those potions with profession Alchemist.


Could you tell me how I could see the dialogues easier, without watching the cinematics? Then I could show you what I mean.
You can always enter the mysterious world of World Editor and look there.

About my overall impressions of the campaign:
I really liked it and loved every second of playing it. Especially the last chapter, which I played for three days because I wanted to solve as much quests and complete as much sets as possible (I gave up after the 40th try to win the third car race though). The dialogues are very good, sometimes brilliant, for example every time Fradz and Galeoth talk, the dialog between the Epic Boss and Fradz in chapter two, or nearly every dialog with Fradz, the dialog between Phodom and Fradz when he tells him that he's after a serial chicken killer and so on. I had to laugh lots of times because of that and lots of these dialogs made me smile. The scenery is great every time, the story is really unpredictable: I'm still confused who takes which part in that story and the motives behind every action (well, not the parts like Galeoth and Phodom but what's Xvareon doing, what has Talloon got to do with everything and so on). That makes me very excited about the next chapters and how you're going to inform the player about every motive and every character who has a role in this play.

Yes, yes. Every characters has their own motives, otherwise this wouldn't be that good story. And you'll meet all those characters later in the campaign as well.

Actually I'm gonna remake that chapter before the full version making it bigger(some quests). I actually have the new sexy dialogues already for it. I think I will first do chapter 8...

sorry but you current version seems to be full of bugs...
-mediate doesn't work at all
-occaisonally i just lose 5 vitality after using an ability (very rare bug so not relevant)
-Fradz instant slash doesn't make any damage (sorry can only talk about lvl 1, because I didn't have the patience to continue without mediate and with only 50% of possible damage output in chapter 2)
-phodoms pheonix combo doesn't do any damage upon slamming the ground anymore (it still looks beautiful though)
-the warlord (chap 1) still goes into his channeling mode doing nothing (except for glowing of course)
-all units whom you can steal from also drop their item upon killing, this means stealing is just a waste of time in areas where you can enter later because you always get the item

sorry I didn't go further, but those bugs were really depressing so I stopped

So this is another minor version to fix some problems around the campaign.

CHANGES:

  • Added new ability for Phodom: Power Heal.
  • I made some changes to items(Cripple Triple Axe, Tera Ring...).
  • Fixed Meditate.
  • Fixed Instant Slash.
  • Fixed boss archievements.
  • I removed Berserk Combat King because I relised it can't be fixed(If you have ideas for high tier physical Combat King enter the competition).
  • Elite and Epic quests are from now on counted as optional quests also.
  • Fixed save/load espers.
  • Rearranged ability positions and hotkeys. Now categories goes like in this order: Single(Z), Aoe(X), Heal(C) and Element(V). Special(S) and Ultimate(D) abilities stay where they were before.
  • Rebalanced ability damages.
  • All recipes cost now 50% less.
  • Fixed item & split system.
  • Fixed bugs from chapter 5 Elite Boss(over half of his moves were not enabled).
  • Remade chapter 5 Vampire Lord battle.
  • Remade chapter 6 Xada second battle.
  • Removed a lot of useless things around the campaign.
  • And fixed a lot of minor bugs around the campaign.

i've been playing this campaign ever since from earlier versions But now, I am tired of repeating and starting a New game.. I suggest if we can load the part in earlier version in which we accomplished instead of going back to the beginning of Chapter 1 for this new version and spends so much time of repeating same scenario or even if there are little changes sometimes could make us a little bit boring.. anyways, still it is a beta version so i'll have to play it in the future whenever it will become a final version.. thanks to this map i somehow enjoyed with it..

Yeah. Played it after a long time. It was getting too big to download. But managed to download it this time.

In the epic quest I solved the first puzzle. Found what the 2nd puzzle was about. But just could not actually complete it. The puzzle explanation in game was good. But the actual Puzzle#2 was difficult for me. Maybe I kept on missing the colours. Never got past the puzzle#2. Had to use the ring to go back to the mountains.

But still great work. It is very good. It was good but now it is even better.

One thing I did not mention. It was about Chapter4 of the 1.6e version. In the end when the 3 people suddenly get under my control they were difficult to control using the shortkeys. Cannot remember exactly what happened but maybe one of them cannot be selected by the shortkeys. There was some problem with the shortkeys at the time. Cannot remember what.

Was the battle with the rainbow dancers fixed as well? I didn't see that in the fix log so I am guessing not but I figured I'd ask...
Yes it's fixed! I even tested it.

Hey how do you open the barriers on the temple in chapter 2?

Q: How can I use my old savegames with the new game version ?
A: Simply complete the current chapter you're playing or activate Give Up. Then remove the old version and put the newest version of campaign to your campaign folder and start playing. Continue your game by playing the next chapter or start from the prologue having old resources from Give Up.

You don't need to start from the beginning. I suggest to wait for major versions, these minor versions just fix things and add something little. No need to play every single version.

hey aero, sorry I hadn't time to register on your forums yet, but if I could give some ideas for berserk combat king replacement via hiveworkshop, would you count it as if I was in the contest as well?
