Story
Background Story
Twelve peaceful years have passed since The Great War ended. The war that lasted centuries but no man could recall the reason of. The age of despair, bloodshed, loss and grief is now past. The new age brought the opportunity for human kingdoms to rise, as humanity has broken free from the grip of the dragons.

This story focuses on Kingdom of Balgaron and three famous Dragon Slayers: Phodom, Fradz and Galeoth. Each of them starts their journey in different places, but they will eventually meet eachother and join forces along the path. Together, the three are forced to go a conflict beyond their imaginations.

Lead them into an epic world, guided by a strong storyline that covers hate, love, war and peace.

The honored Dragon Slayer Phodom gave up his life as a warrior and began a new life with his wife and his children, far away from the capital of Balgaron in the small town called Dalli. All his plans were going smooth and easy until someone steps into his life and changes everything...Fradz is a young energetic Dragon Slayer known for his short temper and bad manners. This silly thief is a very powerful warrior and it is said that he even killed powerful dragons single-handedly. After the war, Fradz went on many journeys, but one day a mysterious voice told him to travel to the famous Dragon Inn to meet someone who was once very close to him. Fradz accepts this new journey, as he knows that he cannot decline it...Galeoth, the son of a legendary Dragon Slayer lived up to his father's name and became one of the leaders of Balgaron. After the war, Galeoth still believed that the war was not yet over. His obsession to find dragons led him towards the Icy Mountains where he is about to uncover a horrible secret that will change the fate of mankind...

'Critical Chance' attribute added! It starts from 5% and it can be increased various ways.

Improved chapter 3's ending dialogues (outdated).
Vacuum's area of effect reduced. You cannot grab items from far away anymore.
Background stories and so-called "Books" are completely added to all chapters in this version.
Every single Spell Book spell has been added to the campaign!
Many new items and item changes. For example, superior items, which costs a huge amount of gold, are added to middle chapters; however, they're worth it!
Improved the multiboard a lot. Now it is more informative and better organized.
Combat kings once again rebalanced and changed. The major thing is that now they all cost 2 Honor Points.
Espers improved and made even stronger. Please come and tell me what you think about the Espers now. I've seen that players don't use them and I really want to make them useful.
Many changes to the starting packs! Now they should be balanced, every single one of them!
Stealing improved; now it shows the percentages.
Easter Eggs added; currently just 2 but there will be a total of 12 Easter Eggs. Check them all out!
Mystic Storm and Frost Shard recoded.
From this version onwards, a number of items can only be bought once. Choose wisely and try not to lose those items. You cannot buy them again!
Small changes to abilities, but not much. I plan to once again balance them in the coming minor versions. For example, I was thinking to completely remove Bleed, Brittle and Stagger. What do you think?

Now every fourth ranked synthesis Item will require a Zozi to reduce player from getting too many powerful items at early chapters.
Now each STR gives 20 health instead of 25.
Now each INT gives 10 mana instead of 15.

Black merchant can only be seen between 24:00 to 6:00 o'clock.

Chapter 7 is now opened.
Boss points are now removed from the game. You can still change your Boss points to Honor points by writing this code: "-change".
Remade all item, ability, spell, esper and all other descriptions: they are now shorter and easier to read.
There is only fire, ice, and lightning spells now.
Improved multiboard by a lot, added some new stats to it also.
Added new combat kings and new spells. Combat Kings now only go up to level 5.
Added some more tactical meaning to the battle: some abilities can do or use buffs called Brittle, Stagger, and Bleed. For example some other abilities can use these buffs to deal increased damage.
Now Special abilities will increase by every level instead of every fifth level.
All professionals are now universal.
The Critical Damage bonus starts from 100% instead of 0%. The chance to do a Critical Hit is still 10%.
Once again, more items.
New Spell System: Instead of spell books you can easily use spells from left corner just like potions.
The file size is now bigger because I imported some resources to the campaign. The expected file size in the end will be about 120mb to 140mb. I hope the file size won't be a problem.
New balanced attack and armor types: Sharp, Blunt, Magic, Light, Medium, Heavy, Sturdy and Elemental.
Now some enemies are categorized as Summoned, Undead, Drgon and Monster. Some items and abilities can do extra effects to them.
Now enemies won't do their abilities while stunned.
The campaign is now optimized and protected. All thanks to Shadow Daemon for creating the awesome "campaign optimizator" program".
Fixed some bugs.




New Steal System.
Most of the item descriptions are updated.
Some of the items are remade.
Upgraded Lucky Boxes and put new unique items.
And a lot of bug fixes.




Fixed a starting bug from chapter 3. It should now work properly.
Added proper descriptions to the difficulties.




Removed some test items from chapter 1 beginning.




Chapter 6 is now opened.
Now Item Sets have own unique icons.
Honor Shop Disabled. "Ability Bonus" system will be added later to the campaign that replaces Honor Shop Items.

Chapter item descriptions to easier to read.
Now there are only two magical balls instead of three. Also now they give solid magic bonus instead of percent.
Removed Phodom's speciality that gives plus one Dig Power every 10th level.

Some of the spell book spells are remade and balanced such as first Fire Spell.
Added Game Panel where you can for example eat food, move your boxes and cast espers.
And many, many other changes. Once again so many changes I simply cannot remember everything.

Six new Galeoth abilities: Chill of the Frost Master, Frozen Storm, Icy Barrage, Inner Light, Mesmerizing Ice Crystal and Piercing Shard.
Combat Kings are remade. All high tier combat kings aren't remade yet.
After every cinematic units you had selected before will be selected for you automatically.
Now quests will give experience like before.
Fixed chapter 5 ending.
Chapter 1 Boss, Chapter 1 Elite Boss, Chapter 3 Boss and Chapter 3 Elite Boss battles are now improved.

Fixed Kaza Leader Dialog.

Think there's a major bug in ch1 and ch 2 when i visit the combat king seller in ch 1 and the honor point master at ch 2 i clicked on information and at the end of both sessions i lost total control off my character , when i clicked him he gets selected for like 0.5 sec and then i lose control again dunno if anyone else has had this problem greets

i'll wait till the campaign is done, 100mb is a pain in the arse man :D

but i've tested the 1st chapter, well use of the multiboard, but these are the list of things that annoyed me :

- Attack command, evertime i want to use an attack-move command, i have to R > Q > Q, maybe u should create a trigger that the patrol command will do an attack move command.
- bags, it's annoying, i have to type "-p" to pick up a mere flower, maybe u should create a trigger that if the hero inventory is full (not backpack), the picked item will transfered to the backpack.

looking foward to play the full campaign, i wanna know what's fradz doing, last time i played they're coming in to a cave, and somebody tells fradz about something, do you create the script first before making the campaign ?

Replacing the commands is VERY uncomfortable indeed.
Also what does the ch1 puzzle involve?
Why is it uncomfortable?

There's a sign that says: "To unlock this magical box you must activate the levers in correct position. Both sides must have total number of 8. The one who completes this puzzle will be rewarded handsomely."

Yes, that is major bug but there's one another. I have been trying to fix it last few days now. When it's fixed I will create another minor version.

Where do you need that attack command? You can't kill passive units in this campaign...

95% of all the texts are created already and ready to be added to the campaign. Story is about 100% done.

Second, if you want to move boxes of everyone (in later chapters), you have to use it 3 times, unlike -mb.
Very uncomfortable.
Also, when I pick a flower up, the Flowers counter in the multiboard goes up by 1. But it doesn't drop when I drop the flower. And how could I activate the levers???

- And the flowers shouldn't drop. It actually shows how many flowers you have picked up in a chapter.
- You need to use that basic attack command from your Command Panel => Basic Abilities... Hmm, that's a bit stupid.

How many flowers that I've picked up in a chapter??? When I pick a flower up, the counter increases by 1. When I drop it, it stays. When I pick it up again, the counter increases by 1 again. And I finished ch1 with a Flowers counter of 40/35.

Hi Aero.

I have been stalking you since... mistery of frizer, so a long time ago. Now that I find myself with some free time, I will try to send you some feedback about the beta.

First with the impression. This is the best custom campaign I have ever played, and believe me I have try close to everything on the net. You put so much time and effort, it's incredible. The gameplay is perfect and the continuity with the different difficulty will keep me busy for way to long (but i will enjoy it).

Not se sure about the new website, cannot find anything anymore :(.

And now for the bugs.

Chapter 1

Don't know if it's a bug but the warlock boss (legend boss?) drain my food like crazy. I start the fight with losing 5 (so from 10 to 5), then everytime I consume more food, he drain it nearly right away, so my character die of starvation and not of damage.

Chapter 2

Major issue - When fradz use blessing of light he lose streng and intelligence. So around half the map my fradz had 500 hp and 300mana.

Occured only once - I was running in the camp before the bridge and move closed to the hero and boss fight shop realy fast, which cause my screen to show the text store in double ( so 2x information, 2x buy and 2x exit). Once i press on buy, the screen stayed black and I was forced to restart.

Minor - The pathfinder (navmesh if you like) is buggy in the upper desert plain (just upper of the starting position). I had a hard time to just attack the scorpion, fradz was running around them witouth being able to attack.

Just a little idea like that, could you make some of the more usefull ability button appear in the first menu insted of the third? Like box, dig or steal could appear on the first button menu (where you find patrol etc)

In conclusion, don't give up, you are the best ( and i looked around before saying that ) and i really want to see the next version!

What cinematic?

You mean how to solve it or what is reward?

I mean in the opening cinematic I can't see Phodrom when the model changes from the standard citizen to the armoured-paladin. Moreover, when the game starts there is neither the model or the icon on the top-left corner of the screen.

Then I think you have missed Prologue. Play that first.

Dialog bug? Still some more bugs from those shops... Will be fixed!

I could make commands like "-p" to move boxes to position of Phodom, or "-p" to dig with character you currently are selecting. I cannot make it like you want... :( What do you think?

waited a very long tym for this campaign to be updated but here it is the excellence of a true map maker reveals the legend map! thank you Aeroblyctos for making such a wonderful map and keep updating it. going to test it later! :)

Hi, i've been tracking this campaign development from some later 2008 since it's alpha it has improved so much in all ways.. i know you went to army for some time so development stopped but you got back with a bang man this is so awsome i can't express my joy with just words ^^ I mean everything bosses,items terrain and the triggering evolved together with you :) I believe the best is to come but i can't wait so i dl the latest one i find here.
Sure i mean you did all this yourself if it was me i would hav already given up but as you said ppl like me keep you motivated so this is my number 1 custom campaign dare i say not even blizzards campaign can't beat yours I MEAN DRAGONS AS GODS? this is so possible ^^ when you think of it. Keep it up i dare not imagine what it will be at it's final release day.

Heh, it's great that some guys still remember me doing the campaign 2 years ago when everything about campaigns were so new to me. As you have said, yes I have been improving and evolving just like the campaign. However, this is not only a good thing, but a curse. Because I have become better and better I must improve the systems better and better. It makes an endless cycle me improving the campaign.

I have now put a stop to this and I try not anymore improve the game-play, but just to finish with the current systems the campaign.

The final day you say? I hope it will be next year's beginning when this goes to "real version" from beta versions. Then the campaign is fully done and only some interludes are not yet done.

EDIT: I hope you didn't download that "The Chosen Ones Beta Closed 1.2". It was a wrong version I just uploaded the correct one. :p

good work again

well this time I have no suggestions, but i don't know how to access the epic boss in chapter 3 - in the alpha the esper dropped a potion, but this is no longer the case.

I start with 900 gold and all the honor and boss point. But still butt naked Galeoth.

Yeah, well that's actually an old bug from old versions because you have saved Galeoth from old version you won't get any items. This problem is fixed in the newest version. :(

But you still have great chances to win if you just can get the shops appear at the beginning of the chapter and buy some stuff so that you can actually complete the chapter.

I dont know if it just me, when i was fighting the first "epic boss" the anubis "thing" is wayy overpowered, i was playing on the lowest difficulty(cannot recall the name of the difficult) i died like 20 times. And the org boss, at the beginning, should not have the ability to finish you off with 1 hit. Is that new-commers should not have the filing that, is way to hard.

I did like the campaign no doubt about that. 8/10 from me:)

The casting time is very long, so when you see him being invulnerable and standing still, run away.

Epic bosses aren't meant to be defeated on the 1st playthrough.

That's actually a good thing. You get a sense of character developement. A low levels when you try him the first time you get crushed. But when at higher levels with better equipment you finally are able to stand againt him, it's a good feeling.

About that orgre boss, he should not have such a powerful ability... Even if you have few seconds time to evade his spells he should not kill you instant. I wonder if you fought with him while having level 1 Phodom and no items?

But it's a short chapter I already balanced all enemies now I'm remaking hit & mana regenerations because I have better idea for them than the basic Warcraft III regeneration... After that I just... I don't know! I guess I'll start testing after that or something.

Yea that's pretty pathetic because my fix wasn't succeeful... :D

Next time I'm gonna test to make sure that bug is fixed!

i was taken down several times by bosses on ch1
new abilities, new skins and bonus items at start :D

keep up with good work!

and i think i found bug in ch1
well the creature which spawns in field north of harpy mountain
hm i stunned it and he started to shot spell the same as krobelus's from dota
and killed me cuz i cant run away or dodge it.
so the question is. is this spell something like counter,1 sec cd spell or just a bug.

by the way nice remake of murlok boss but there is too much spawns which cant be take down easy. well i took him down on all dificulties except last one. but ill do it eventualy :D

This campaign needs no rating, it's best! enough said. Yeah i've went first chapter on Normal difficulty with phdodom (item pack: POWER HAMMER) I died so many times but ressurection spell i picked for phodom turned out to be better than lives u have to buy for boss points... that is if you cast the spell fast enough after the spell's time over or after you die... I loved it Campaign is much harder now i can't wait to try extreme difficulty ic bosses have some extra spells and all :) And the anubis boss at chapter 2 is easy i killed him in alpha ver 3.3b in first play with about 80 potions o.o.. The strongest of his abilities was stomp or crush when he goes in the air... if u fail to react just for 1 sec your dead! But that only occured few times to me, By which i mean dying. Waiting for next ver. I'll still rate 5/5.

There should be 3 second casting time with that boss. I'll check out if there's something wrong. Many have already defeated Elite Boss so you will do that eventually also. Thanks for the feedback, MARYNOM.

You should fix chapter 3's name. I don't think that there's a word called "secrery".

Yea, I have a little problem with chapter names at the moment. I planned great chapters names but then there was somekind of limit of lenght. Now I'm thinking new names... Also I should update the pictures of the chapters. Perhaps I should simply remove the pictures that are shown always at the beginning of each chapter? What do you think guys?

I think its okay to die when fighting against elite/epic bosses. its not that u have to kill them for completing the chapter.
I died like 20 times while fighting against the elite/epic bosses in chapter 2. but lives are cheap so it was np.

Hmm, now that you asked... Those packs you can choose b4 starting campaign is great idea. Now here's mine it's somewhat similar but it either should be random or not.

Unique ability or passive Phodom,Frads or Galeoth gains after some battle ( kind of discovering inner "powers" or just gaining temporal ability for that chapter.For example Phodom gains BLOODLUST after his family get's all slaughtered.. As time passes it gets weaker untill dissapears and i don't mean that Phodom forgets about the Killer.. What i ment is that bloodlust would overcome Phodom again when he met the killer if he ever met the Hooded killer or somthing more ^^ ( This is somewhat stupid suggestion but it's up to you totally) Only 3+ days left till new version :)

  • Credits are now updated.
  • Illusory Double illusions now will take 500% damage compared to Fradz from 1000% damage.
  • Dozens of changes in items, for example Miraga's Set can now be found from chapter 1 and Silver Set can now be found from chapter 2.
  • Fixed Zwill Blade's synthesis, now it should be able to create.
  • Increased Phodom's base movement speed from 250 to 275.
  • Spell book spells are cooldown are now changed. Here are the cooldowns from first to fourth 90/180/300/once per chapter.
  • Dozens of smaller and bigger bug fixes.

- Hmm, hmm, hmm. Yea I'll create some new packs I even had a competition in the official website to have more ideas.
- Good idea but I won't make it coz' it's just another bonus thing I don't see it necessary.

- Where did you get those three days? I would have already released the new version some days ago if I didn't have some ugly bugs that prevents me to do so. I have now fixed almost all of them and once they are fixed a new version will be released! This can take a today or two it's hard to say. All I can say is that everything is done, I'm now fixing last bugs.
