another WIP

here's a lil' bit more progress

my toughts so far:
i like the face, but ingame the overlip looks to dark so i must highlight it, also the eyes are to low so Im going to raise them a bit.
the runes on the back looks terrible, im gonna do it al over again and I still got no idea for the necklace
oh and the staff is a candlestick:eekani: weird...

and the map they're in is just a random one
(do you think i'm posting to much WIP's? just tell me if it is something)

i'll be gone for easter though:witch_doc_sad:

THE_END, you completely ruined her facial structure, you made her mad, rather than pretty. And we all know blood elves should look pretty.
 
I don't agree, think the eyes look great as they are! Gives her the angry mad look Blodd Elves should have!:thumbs_up:
But to me it looks like the body and rest of the skin has got a really crappy .BLP convertion, it has bad graphics... I think the eyes look great, maybe not completely traditional, but isn't all contest supposed to have a bit of creativity?:bored:
BTW, any suggestions for what I might try to do with the face on my skin?

If you're talking about the face, it's supposed to be that way. When the shadows are kinda layer by layer... Try to make som overall shading then :P

Okay, just a quick question concerning the rules. I've been thinking of using the druid of the claw, but the model uses two skins: one for the actual druid and one for the bearskin on his back. So, would that model be disqualified because both the skins combined wouldn't be 256 x 256?

No it's fine, we just do not accept if you increase/decrease the size 256 x 256 to whatever, because it's supposed to be that size, and nothing different (smaller,bigger)

As you can see Werewulf(example) got one that has a greater size cause of the horse, but that's standard for that model/skin so it's accepted.


I nearly finished mine, take a look here. I also got a different size :wink:

Work on the bracers more hump, but the chest area and the shoulders especially are lovely.
 
Since the contest seems on and the deadline is 20th / 5 i will say i will also join for this contest to create a 75%+ freehand skin to one of the four racial races units of warcraft III. This means i have 15days to create a skin of a unit from these 4 races. I have never ever released any of my work ever or entered a contest like this before.

Two things ... I took a screenshot, and look at this hand :bored:

And why did you remove the teamcolor parts, it should have one, even small ones ?
(Do not forget, for a qualified submission you'll need an ingame-screenshot)

Oh by the way...

THE_END - Your Watcher looks cool now. However, darken her skin a bit (take the Spell Breaker's skin color as an example), Blood Elves' skins are usually darker.
Mephisto - Good, however, that cross on his cape... does not look so good (to me). Perhaps you replacing with the symbol of his belt will make it look nice.
