well it could be possibly the shadow of the upper of the mouth if anything but it looks cool lol i agree with donut, those cant be ears because how would it hear out of it without ear holes?

It's slightly lighter due to less contrast, and the colors are less gray and are more saturated. I can tell the difference very easily

dude, the pinch brush is your fwend! use it to sharpen up the details and prevent blobness.
Oh, and the pectorals anchor deep below the deltoids and go over the biceps.

make the ridges between muscles a bit sharper. Even if they're not like that in real life, it still looks better in 3D and more believable.
