Hello there!

Anybody else has a problem with loading the map? It always crashes in loading screen since last blizzard patch.
I can confirm that the map is unplayable since the latest wc3 patch. It crashes every time during loading screen.

There is a function that is being used that causes the issue.
If Blizzard does not fix it eventually, I could stop using it and update the map, but I'd prefer for Blizzard to fix their own shit.

First of all, massive cheers to You and the rest of the team, Spas!

This is, hands down, the best and most polished modded project I have seen in my life. It is insane how it has been 14 years now and You still manage to surprise with new and clever features (also big kudos to the resource creators as well!) :gg:
You, Sir, are a legend!

As for the latest patch (2.0.1.22490), the map is pretty much playable, but I ran into some minor issues:
1. Class spec changes and some other functions (like Glyph of Bloodthirst, Siren's Q) are unusable because of "Requires: Berserk Upgrade". It's present in both 2.4.5 and 2.5.1c, so I would assume in others as well. - Got fixed in 2.0.1.22498
2. Fat guy's model during the dialogues and demon/inferno dropping has been turned into Sea Revenant.
3. Forst Wyrm item has a small, silly typo in yellow text. :>
4. The 3rd grave in the secret area near the Troll Village occasionally spawns a skeleton which just disappears after half a second (not sure if it was intentional).
5. Also I'm not fully certain, but the latest version might be missing a secret trigger after the tomb/west wing rework. I found all the secrets in 2.4.5 runs (21/23 legit, the rest were comments and other means :>), meanwhile I cannot get that last 23rd one in new version despite many backtracking and scourging every corner of the map,
even with the tricks to reveal parts of the map. /wink wink/ Also I did get 3 on the west coast and I don't thing there were any new between the beginning and the treasure room, right?
Was the key behind the rock near Queen's Tomb supposed to have "?", considering there were 2 in that dungeon before rework?
Or am I just THAT blind and terrible at counting? :weekani:

Honestly I don't expect any fixes in the nearest time, so no pressure from me :> (Especially considering it's Blizzard. I totally expect a full year of hotfix clusterduck after the "2.0"'s outbreak, which can screw even more things over time. Those guys always have to make things harder for everyone, don't they?... /sigh), but I kinda felt I had to post it to add to the list.

Whatever the outcome, You did amazing job! Keep it up! Or don't. Whatever feels best for You. :>

Also,
Merry Christmas everyone! :wgrin:

If Blizzard does not fix it eventually
This is probably a long shot, but still.

Was there any reason to upgrade the map past 1.31?
I don't mean that in "argh, you shouldn't have done that!" more so, is there anything beneficial to such an upgrade. Some sort of tools that only available past that version, or maybe something else that i'm missing?
Because to be it just feels like a giant pain in the back to upgrade to the version of the game that relies on Blizzard doing their work properly.

It's even more puzzling to me to see how many maps/campaigns are now moving onto 2.0. And those aren't even utilizing "new graphics", just "classic" ones! But that's neither here nor there.

hello. may i know how to have the Sunken City for patch 1.31?
You are going to need the latest patch. 1.31 is NOT the most recent one, and was the last one before the Reforged release. The current Warcraft 3 patch is 2.0.1.

Epicwar seems to have an archived file for an older version of this map, but do note that some of the features that were added on the latest version of this map were absent.

Do note that 2.0.1 is still prone to the random crashes, among the other bugs.

They probably "move" to 2.0+ because it is the latest patch of the game, and wc3 auto updates the game through Bnet, so people cannot choose to stay on an earlier patch unless they download external versions of Wc3 outside of Blizzard's.
2.0 =/ Reforged. Reforged is a graphics pack, and most people who choose to play on Bnet use "classic graphics" anyway, so using "classic" graphics is not a reason to stay on previous versions of Wc3.
Other reasons to update include the editor saving faster, which is a big deal for large size maps that would otherwise take forever to save, as well as more editor features. Also avoids problems where everyone is playing on different versions of Wc3 and reporting conflicting bugs that others might not be able to replicate, since no-one can decide which version of Old Wc3 to use as a unifying version (1.24/1.26/1.29/1.30/1.31).
Furthermore, for casual players of Wc3, downloading multiple un-official versions of the game is not straightforward and may cause many of them to give up before playing (might seem simple for experienced players, but for people who don't know what to do, it can be very confusing).

Quick question, is there a known bug or reason when I save and reload many mobs are just untargetable shadows? You can still auto attack them and still use non-targetable abilities (or aoes) on them but can't click or use targeted abilities on them.

Obtuse puzzles, instant kill puzzles, cheating of any kind instantly fails the map despite map being incredibly skeved towards multiplayer with Single player being a slog, no player scaling either so good luck playing solo on anything that isn't easy.

Also no guides at all for some reason despite the obtusnes of the puzzles or even where to go sometimes is plain stupid, why even inspect has a 5 seconds cooldown, what is even the point of the cloak that allows to talk to ghots ?

I very intentionally wanted to create a co-op experience with the map as is stated in its description. It's the way I intend it to be experienced.

What am I supposed to make of the people that solo it on Insane Heroic then? Are they an illusion?

That's quite a rude way to put things. You can be constructive about your feedback instead of being a dick about it.

Seeing that you made your account just to shit post and downrate the map, however, tells me that you are just an angry little person who wants to vent at someone else's work. Which is fair enough I guess, have fun.

why even inspect has a 5 seconds
Each message lasts for ~4 seconds and more often than not they are very far between with the exception of one puzzle and a couple of bookshelves.
The question is rather, why would you want it to be less than 5?

what is even the point of the cloak that allows to talk to ghots ?
It's for lore purposes and they give some hints for some of the puzzles.

Ultimately none of my answers matter really, because you don't seem like the type of person that can be reasoned with.
If you are really looking for a solo experience I'd recommend playing a campaign or an RPG that is better suited for it instead of being a dick.

If I don't like Shooter games for example, I won't go and tell them they suck.
Cause.. you know.. being a decent person and everything.

Have used that next to every ghost I've found and no usefull clues (dunno about the one requiring a naga hero sice I didn't paly as naga), the ghost in the vault near chopped tree is useless as a clue since other things arround already point to the fact that you need to regrow the tree
why would you want it to be less than 5?
Simple ass clicking it a pixel to far is gonna waste you time and it happend countless times with bookshelvs, so it adds up

Yes I made account after multiple frustrations this map caused me in 6+ hours I've played, and most of my frustrations have been from puzzles rarely having a solution that doesn't take searching every nook and crany of the map for posible item or interaction that can MAYBE progress you further

The classic "others have so it's possible". map is a slog, enemies use some of the most unfun abbilites in Warcraft on the constant, like entangling roots or pasive stun chance, wouldn't be as problematic if it was 1 enemy per group not multiple that chain stuns, bosses are the least threathening enemies I've faced after the 1st one but mobs can chainstun me straight to grave

And I preffer if I'm not sent to the shadow realm for simply wanting to enjoy maps how I want it to, instead of making it an achivment or something like that just instant kill. Multiple ways but you chosen the worst solution, shows a lot about you

Twice now I've gotten the same aspect token in a run, having gotten two Nozdormu in one and now two Ysera tokens. I'm wondering, is that intended? It feels pretty bad to have the token drop from a random chest, only for the guaranteed drop to be the same token, especially considering their rarity. If its not intended, is there supposed to be a way to avoid duplicates, like keeping the first token on your person? I usually drop long-term items like those in the little hub with the blue return portals.

I also have yet to find the Scepter of the King in any of my playthroughs, so I haven't been able to craft the Queen's Scepter. Any hints would be much appreciated. This map is a ton of fun and I've sunken many hours into exploring this city, but these few things continue to elude me.

Found a bug. If you place Queen's Tiara and Queen's Scepter recipe in backpack and then pick up King's Scepter with backpack it wouldn't spawn mobs and King's Scepter quest will remain incomplete. Queen's Scepter works after this and Redemption can be completed

Hello @SpasMaster @Vunjo , i have a question about the Combat Text.
Is the Healing/Lifesteal or any form of healing all in one variable? or do you have to create a separate function in every spell that heals?
And if all the forms of healing are all in one variable, how can i make it so that it pops when it occurs? thank you!
