Wait, bad habit? How is delaying release until they've made a decent game good/great a bad habit? I would much rather wait a few months and get a great game than get a mediocre game sooner.

Ohhh... Starcraft 2 zone? Thats the same site that hosts 2 or 6 "Play STAR2 DEMO At starcraft 2z!!" and then shows:
starcraft2demohoax.jpg

They offer a Starcraft 2 demo at Starcraft2Z.com. When you go to download the demo Zango.com's user agreement pops up catering to the Starcraft 2 demo. Zango.com will then download their software to your computer that includes advertisements built into it when you goto download the demo that doesn't exist. Spyware is loaded to your computer, and will eat it alive.
As one person said.

Play their demo, and you can tell us close it looks to being done . Don't trust it unless you yourself get it right from blizzard, IMO. It may be a acurate guess, But don't make any plans off of it.

why must people do that? play on peoples hopes of getting a demo for their favorite game just to infect there computer with spyware? how evil do you have to be? what kinda of sick monsters will do such a thing to a computer?!? its absolutly sickening  having almost lost my computer to spyware myself. but i would actually like to try out starcraft despite my earlier comments reguarding how much i dislike it. i thought about trying the download for acouple seconds before deciding not to.

Thank gosh for Blizzards long release dates? Must finish... map series.. before its too late. I just hope WoTLK doesnt come out too soon. I have to finish my project before either SCII and WoTLK come out, or im doomed. ;_; Now, I hope SCII and WoTLK come out near the same time, cause then it would fit my purposes fine. Oh no, im rambling, I'll stop now. Just tell me if it comes out within a month, okay? ^_^

if u want virusses, do it. if u want an broken computer; download it!
Why Blizzard can't stop that. its such stupid....

Personally takeing a hint from the fact that it is now 2009 and they refuse to give any sort of release date I think its going to come out late 2009 or even 2010 maybe being someone who waited forever for "spore" only to have it suck has made me pessimistic about all things release date but thats what I think.

It will either come out sometime during this Summer or Christmas. Why the summer; because kids get out of school and want a new game to play. Why Christmas; I don't need to explain. They will make more money this way. Than again, a lot of people will buy it when it comes out either way, so I guess that doesn't matter. Blizzard will make a great game, but they will make us pay for it more as well. Hence, the "Trilogy" thing they are going to do. It will probably be $60 like most new games are, so thats a $120 for one game. Of course each part will be released six months after each other, so it's not $120 at once. Still, thats expensive. Plus, I'm not sure whether my computer will even be able to play it that well. I hope it does though. My brother got Starcraft for Christmas once, but had to wait about a year until he could afford a good enough computer to play it.

I read in a PC Gamer magazine in a 1 on 1 interveiw with one of the developers (supposedly), and he desclosed the date to late september. I just hope they can keep this promised date and not fuck us sc2 fans up even more than we already are (I heard some are going emo, and some are even giving up on the games release). WHY DO YOU TORMENT US BLIZZARD!?!?

You expected Blizzard to release the game at an acceptable date? You must be young.

That's probably just bullshit. It's perhaps an internal deadline but it's definitely not public.
I don't believe anything related to Blizzard Entertainment that hasn't been stated by themselves.

redmarine, your excuse seems intelligent and reliable. nothing I can say will change your mind about this, and nothing will top this excuse. oh, at Gilles, Im not young, Im indeed 17. and its blizzard, they released (a very buggy) WoW by a deadline they announced, so why won't they do it with every other game (I'm still waiting for them to pic up on SC: Ghost)

Even though your no "longer" young you should have learned how Blizzard Entertainment works, considering you're lurking around on a Blizzard fanboyish forum.

Anyway, they're unique due to their philosophy and behaviour. Which pretty much makes them different from any other development company that exists. You get the point.
