Snow theme

Let me just say I love THW's new snow theme. It's great. I hope it stay through winter into March. Hopefully quality themes like this are a new tradition--it makes the site seem more alive!

Scroll to the top of the page. Look at the snow gathered on top of the Control Panel.

It's not falling snow like last year though, thank God! haha.

You may have to clear your cache, and wait a bit. It worked for me.
If you are curious an impatient, try viewing hive in another browser that you don't use.

And thanx for not adding christmas-happy-theme, but retain the bold, cold, siege-type winter theme.

There's also some "Terran (Beta)" theme, and all of the old themes were removed. I like the snow, but those nasty seams on the top are really annoying to look at...

You can just set up some sort of mini-contest asking users to make their own snow for the hive And the winner gets the site to use his snow Maybe some rep but that's not necessary imo, people should take pleasure in helping with the site.

However the snow on the leaves could get some improvements.

I just noticed, the leaves that run down the right side of the page are the normal THW leaves. Only the leaves on the left side are the winter leaves. Shouldn't they both be the winter leaves?

I think that falling show animation in site should be added. I have seen some sites with that, and it is nice when snow is falling around whole screen.

I think it's cool. I had the Terran skin on but had grown kinda bored of it and turned the Night Elf skin on and the snow was a nice surprise

I'm using Firefox 3.5 and, to clear private data, I went to Tools » Clear Recent History (hotkey Ctrl+Shift+Del). Set it to erase your entire history and select which components you want to clear (in this case, Cache, and if that doesn't work, Cookies).

Nah; a lot of people complained about that last year. It doesn't really accomplish anything and generally makes the site laggier

You should.. or rather indeed you shouldn't.. because if you can't stand looking at it, its because someone who didn't care designed it. But if thats not an issue it means that whomever designed it, did a good job.

I value the content of a website more than just pure looks. However, I must say that this website is one of the more "good looking" ones that I've visited on the mighty internet, and I agree that whomever designed it really did an outstanding job with keeping the "Warcraft" feeling into it.
