For an English assignment. We had to draw characters from the Canterbury Tales, and since they're all riding horses, and nobody in the class can draw a decent horse :/, I drew a base horse for people to stick their character on.

Yeah I know the back leg's middle section is too long. Can't be arsed to fix it.

Reference materials are always a good idea when drawing horses...I myself have learned that, horses are freaky animals.

Yeah, especially with those hooves. :S

Shitty speedcoloring. Yeah I know the lighting's all funky on the neck but the point was to get faster. Lineart took about 7 minutes <3

Nice, dragons. It's rather funny, for an RPG board my character was a yellow dragon and I built a whole theme around it. That board closed down and then I got back in wc3 and found my way back here.

Honestly I thought you did really well on scorch, but meh, artists. :hohum:

I look forward to your future pieces.

Little experiment. Tried to do shading only using one color for each part, instead of 5 or so like I usually use.

Yeah I'm not too fond of the actual picture itself but the shading looks decent enough.

WIP. Focusing more on anatomy this time. I just started the wings so that's why they're kinda blah at the moment.

Py, that's just awesome. I've never seen dragons in RL (did you? o.0), but that draw made me belive they exists!

There are only 2 lines that I think that should be changed, and they are at the attached image. Here comes the exaplanation:

About the first part: I think that the line should be shorter, as shown there, because otherwise the dragon couldn't fully open his wings. I mean, the larger that region is, the less the dragon can open his wings. Imagine a 3d image with a dragon opening his wings and look carefully at that piece of skin, so you'll understand better, I think.

About the 2nd part: Hmm... the neck should start more forward. I say that because if the neck actually started there, the brain cavity of the skull should be so long that it comes from the region between the eyes to where the neck starts (marked in red). It should be closer to the head.

Anyway, the draw is great, and the things I pointed are very tiny compared with the rest of the draw. Ant they're also a bit insignificant, don't they? I just pointed them because I noticed the perfection of the draw, and I really felt like pointing those two lines, that were a bit ot of place.

The worst thing is that it is much more boring to give these critiques through internet, think how easier is to point that in RL...

Yeah, that was only a quick line just to get a general idea of where it would end up being. I was going to make it more like that anyway. ;3

Hmm, yes. I see what you mean.

Moar. Improved tail, back leg, front leg, feet, neck, and chest. Worked a tad more on the wings. Messed around with the head.

I don't like the ears Py has at the moment so I'm playing around with different locations for them. I'm going to base the ears off of this because I like their shape and length. Py's won't be fuzzy though.

Elenai is right. :p As is \Naze. Anyway, I like what you have so far. :p Looking forward to more art from you. =D
Meh, I'm not really into hidden tags. But thanks though.

Reptiles and avians don't have ears in my mind. Bats do, but they are mammals.

But so are whales...

Well that's my opinion really, ears are soft, and reptiles... aren't.

I know they don't really have ears but I wanted him to have ears.

This was the topic of a rather large argument DSG had a few pages back.

No o.=.o

And I wasn't "doing her" in my dream either. I was busy running into a bunch of other dragons (she was one of them) whilst trying to save our country (?) from hordes of mongolians. Yes, mongolians. With Genghis Khan and the little fur hats and all.

Needs more gore and less furry stuff.
