"the government thinks they have unlimited money. >_>"
THe US government in a sense, does, as well as the banks who make it out of thin air.
Now, debt isn't really something to worry about inside of a consumerist economy, because our government less determines our economy than most countries, the world needs our over indulgence, and we need the world, so thus our government gains a free ride through debt town as it constantly devalues the currency so it can slowly pay off debt in another way.
Making it worthless.
Lets say you owed 400 dollars several decades ago, you would still owe 400 dollars, but it would be the equal of having only paid back maybe 40, or 50 dollars inside of the original worth of the dollar.
Obama knows this, and most educated people do to, thus the "tax and spend" liberals are actually brilliant for the world economy, because they take advantage of this, now, nevermind the overall debt that it creates, a super power is always left to do that, make a massive debt, Rome did it, Britain did it, France did it, the USSR did it, and the US has done it also, because after a point, cheap labor can no longer support a modern economy, and inflationist devaluation must.
It is allmore complex to that, but it is true.
I would also like to take back what I said previously, I do think Obama can find rational solutions for the long term problems that plague the USA. As when you spend massive ammounts, it tends not to hit you very hard, as the devaluation of the currency and inflation insures that.
