I love discussions more than anything in the world and when I found out that such group exists, I just had to join.

On topic:
Global warming and the claim that humans are destroying the world is a FACT.
Our entire civilization is built on the idea that the world can deal with whatever we toss at it and the time has come to prove such thoughts to be false. Unless we start cleaning after ourselves and stop shi*ing in our own living room, we will be in trouble sooner or later.

On second topic:
Communism is not a realistic idea. Humans are individual creatures even if they band in groups and seek social bonds while only a hive mental structure can realize communism. Humans don’t forge strong enough bonds with others, more so in this age than ever before.
The greatest flaw of communism is that it requires trust, lots of trust and faith in all others, every member of your society must trust every other member and that is simply impossible to apply to large and not well educated (don’t have sufficient mental fortitude) numbers.

I just realized that this group is relatively dead :(
and it was the first group I join!

I think the concept of Communism is a brilliant one, albeit with a few obvious faults. My view upon the matter is that for 'true communism' to be achieved, a worldwide revolution would need to be stimulated - for that to be possible, of course, there would have to be a trigger. Namely, a political entity capable of directing such a vast effort against any co-ordinated resistance, to which there would be a fair amount. Communism is really a more refined form of Anarcho-Liberalism, when you cut it down to it's rawest possible specifics.

If say, a Communist Nation were to achieve global domination - an unlikely scenario, in any case - the concept relies upon the fact that by this time, the ruling caste would be unable to resist the 'general population', and so a state of equality and balance would be achieved. Overall, it's an odd concept which, though in ideals is very sound, is not really practical given the current geopolitical situations, nor the values of modern society.
