I'm thinking you need a really large desk if you'd go for the XL, which has an active surface equivalent to A3 paper (that is double the active surface of the one I have). And you'd really be moving your hand around a lot. However, with a large screen it'll allow you to really work in details without having to zoom in tenfold.
