[Freaky Little Goblin]

I need a spell casting type unit for the goblin race, sticking to their suicidal side. If anyone can help pls do so, if not it's okay, I'll manage lol.

Goblin Mindslave:

Ability 1 - Friends? - Gain control of target enemy non-hero unit for 6 seconds. (temporary charm as a unit ability)
Ability 2 - Not me, YOU! - Explode target allied unit, dealing its remaining health or 50% of its remaining mana as damage in a medium-small AoE, whichever is higher.

I have never thought about that, thanks! Now all I need is a model perfect for that. Sadly all that's available has no icons/often glitches out of existence when used in game.

I can give you a hand in making icons if needed and if you have picked a model. If not, it uses to be more Goblin sapper models on the Hive but I don't find them anymore. One solution could be to extract the model/texture(s) from a Custom map that contains the model.

No, no! It helped a lot! I was running out of unique spells for a spell-casting unit anyways, I had to make it different from the others.

There's a slight problem tho, I don't know how to make icons, so sorry. But these models are great! That sapper specialist seems to fit the skills given by Pyrogasm, although I don't know how to download it as a warcraft3 model. Thanks a lot! You helped big-time.

Put all the models that don't have icons in a folder, compress it, and send it to me in private message. I'll do the job little by little ! And no need for money, +rep would do the job

It's really simple:
1. Open the model's portrait in Model Editor. If it doesn't have a matching _portrait file, just open the model itself.

2. Go to Edit -> Properties
3. Change the background color to black and uncheck all boxes under "Display".

4. Go to Windows -> Animation Controller. Select an animation ("Portrait" if it's a portrait model, "Stand" if it's not).

5. Zoom (scroll wheel) and rotate (hold left mouse button) until you're happy with the angle and distance.

6. Press Alt + Prt Sc
7. Open Paint (or any other similar program) and press Ctrl + V to paste the screenshot.
8. Use the Crop tool to make the image more squarish and to remove unnecessary parts.

9. Save the image. I usually save it as .PNG, but the picture's format is not really important.
10. Use Button Manager to turn the saved screenshot into an icon.

11. Import the icon.

You can also use Warcraft III Viewer or take a screenshot in World Editor if you turn off textured terrain view (View -> Terrain -> Hidden) so you'll have a black background. You can rotate the view in World Editor by holding down the right mouse button + Ctrl.

It seems so dumb but I haven't thought about changing the background color, until today I was using a Pait-like software to change the grey background to black ._.
