Nice nice love it hard though, well I guess it was part becuase I played on my own all on my own no-one else did not even use cheats.

Hard game run throw frag run run frag run frag run frag shoot, death.
Nice +rep for this awsome game.

Terrain and stuff

+terrain is good
+No mana cost :)
+filesize not too big so can be played on battlenet
and only 1 -!

-A bit hard for singleplayer.

the game is unplayable alone,
at least 2 players to maintain reload cycle and light at night.
so i think using the infinite ammo cheat is fine,

i myself never survive the night mode alone.
without cheats.

infinite ammo shotgun is pretty fun tho.

uploading 0.9d in a short while,

Removed LAG. i found out i did something terrible that couses a lag inside the trigs.

How could i left that out for months ;0

anyways its done now!
the game is now as smooth as dolphin!

the ones that had played the beta should really try again at 0.9d!

Great gameplay, current terrain is awesome, high replayability...
Suggestions: make a warm-up wave, like you landed further away from the base, and it's already infested with few Swarms, and the four Marines from the intro cinematic are dead, so you have to kill the Swarms. Also, add the text explaining abilities during the first level. I had to restart a few times just to get the hang of it.
Terrain broadening. Do some desert terrain. I really liked the wrecked airplane. Also, you could try to make a main building with more floors.
Btw, it still lags a little for me, but oh well, I hve a BC Wooden computer, so nevermind xD

Updated!

Reduced File Size

Removed most Lag causing Bugs.

Reduced Zombie count (reverted to normal, since i added 10 last patch)

Improved Item Functionality.

Upgraded Combat Knife Damage,

Improved Worm AI. reduces lag too from Worm AI.

Removed Unnecessary Attachment on zombies.

Added new SCARY model animation for the runner!

Well i tried to play it, but all i got was the start cine- Then a huge pan outwards slowing down my lappy to like 3fps, then finding out that none of the units were player controlled and i could not select anything. Then i kept getting loads of panning when i tried to look around the map o.o?

Did you forget to turn the 4 marines into player controlled units?

When u finished making it you should add a Survival mode. Where the game is done by waves, since the current state just feels like an arcade version :D (Also where some abilities are locked or balanced) (Such as carpet strikes) :L 99999999999 carpet strikes = win :D

Why you make so many posts there is an edit button tsk tsk. I lag cause im on lappy :( Everything lags on this which has 5 doodads. Maps like AZzy wars etc all epic lag to 0.1fps T_T

I think the main lag was both the camera view and the 99999 carpet bombs. A zoom option would be nice ;D

uhh, i made this on a small lappy,

and its old too, not laggy at all o.o

real smooth lol.

i will add camera view next then.

and yes, this game is arcade. im developing versus mode atm,

and maybe story mode later, where you have to travel the map & find etc.

survival is interesting, ill see to it later,

hq commands has no cooldown on beta. (carpets)

im testing the skills atm

you should try without those hq commands.

reached better performance stability,

after hearing anove lag due to minimum spec,
i decided to focus on performance.

reduced special terrain objects, they gave me extra 5 fps overall.

grenade bounces on walls, etc, will now not be as stable as before.

reduced polycount for peoples using minimum performance pcs

removed some doodads & tiny details

implemented low sight (doodads will now be invisible after 1600 range to improve stability)

gained around 5 fps from implementing low sight.

overall fpsmgain on low spec = 10 fps.

added new terrains,

this "E" version will be uploaded in around 2 days or 3.

this E version only includes graphical stability, and no gameplay changes.

I remember that Rifleman hero model taking up to 1MB? Personally I wouldn't use it if it takes that much.

I'd also reconsider using levels as high as those shown in the screenshot. Lower level cap but harder to get new levels is usually the best option.

it takes around 600 kb,

actually, im using it for the animations it has,

melee, throw, and snipe animations xD

they are important for someone like me who
likes details.

i will change the model when i got need to access additional free space.

anyways, is it the hero level cap?
pr gameplay level cap?

i will decrease level cap if you want,

i dont really understand why tho xD

per level attribute is almost negligible

and i cant believe rui is talking in my thread! xD

its an awesome map! xD

the map upload will be delayed for sometimes, until the system is ready,

i got a bug on items that used reincarnation.

i dont know why it reduces sight range if you are reincarnated,
i got no idea why it does that,
the unit is a normal unit ;/

any ideas on how to fix this?

i want night mode to be impossible,

so that you guys have to stick together for light.
(notice that you cant see your back with just flashlight)

Mercenaries is a Multiplayer Co-op Arcade Zombie Survival,
currently there are plans of other modes, such as Campaign to
tell the story of the location, and a PvP mode, which is a 2v2
Score Race.

The game focuses on chaining combos of kills.
higher combos = more scores obtained.

after 7 seconds without a kill, the combo finishes,
encouraging you to move/split up to explore more areas.

Scavange items dropped by supply plane every few random minutes.

on few occasions, you are supposed to team up with your team-mates,
and split roles, such as on night mode (which occurs when it reach a certain time), you will not be able to see without flashlights or any light sources (Gun shots, grenades, fires, street lights), and flash light only provides light on your front, requiring someone to guard your back or otherwise impossible to survive.

Advanced terrain data : You are able to jump on certain things with melee, such as Windows, sand bags, etc with melee attack.
Grenades are complied with grenade system, which will bounce off walls and slopes,
Projectiles are complied with piercing system, which counts how much objects it can pierce through or how thick it is. (Such as walls).

Special Reload System, Rapidly Spam R to accelerate reload animation speed, you can cancel reloads when it gets too dangerous.

The Giant Diver Worm is a boss, which is almost unkillable (It will dive below ground and regenerate when reaching low HP), this worm only walks on Sand, and will not walk on stones or unbuildable pathings, encouraging you to stay in the city to prevent encounter.

currently, there are no plans of other chooseable mercenaries, until
i can obtain a suitable model and sufficient file size.

On PvP, you are to team up with a pair of friend, a 2v2 fight of score racing, killing opposing mercenary team members will grant you huge score bonus and few seconds of respawn timer.

PvP Ends on Time up, both team are given a same amount of time limit,
until the helicopter arrives to end the game,

you can obtain bonus time by killing a giant monster, melee killing enemy units, and obtaining Bonus Time item from supply jets (Also give you a huge score bonus).

The story revolves around the mysterious plane crash, in the middle of the dessert, which leads to a giant viral outbreak, in arcade mode, you are to survive and destroy as many enemies as possible.

on Campaign mode, you are a mercenary hired by an unknown organization, you are given a task to search every clues about the viral outbreak and destroy it, rescuing any scientist survivors met along the way, before any other countries discover the truth.

The team, gains no contact whatsoever from the facility, and decides to investigate.

The first thing is to investigate is the plane, on where you find the information about the plane crash is indeed related to the viral outbreak.

For long, the personal delivery plane service has been working together with the Organization,
sending a few agent of the Organization, to ship viral samples through the plane to a Camouflaged research Facility Inside an Ore Mine.

the BSAA (BioTerrorism Security Assesment Alliance) upon learning this fact, decided to plan a hijacking of the plane,
The mission is to :
1. Arrest a few members of the Organization for questioning.
2. Gain a solid evidence to cast upon the Service to trace back their alliance and the root of their Organization.
Procedure :
by assigning a few double agents of the BSAA in the target Plane.

The mission went on to a success, the plane is hijacked, and is forced to flew in its current location above the facility,
Upon the success of hijack mission, one of the members of the Organization infects himself with an experimental virus, destroying the whole plane, leading to the crash and an uncontrollable outbreak at a nearby city.

Learning the mess of the situation, the facility decides to send an immediate small mercenary team to destroy any evidence and rescue the facility members.

but before the arrival of the rescue team, the facility has gone to hell.

after investigating the plane, you are to fight a mini boss, the red giant from the Arcade mercenary game, which is an experimental virus who is responsible for the crash.

upon its defeat, you discovered an S.O.S signal from the city, identifying themselves as the scientist.

on arrival, you discovered dead survivors, chopped into pieces, one of them, barely alive, told them the horror has breached the facility,
and so the scientist decides to deploy a few experimental weapon,
the abomination.

the zombies are massacred, the result is devastating,
the new experimental weapon is a success,
however, the AI of the facility went berserk for some reason.

controlled by nano technologies, the AI used the Experiments to massacre every human being in the facility, a few managed to flee away from the facility, but to no success, they chased and brutally killed by the experiment.

the barely surviving member, told you to destroy any evidence on the facility, and destroy the berserk AI, which means, the destruction of the facility.

losing too much blood, the survivor died, and you discovered a giant behind you.
on this part, you are to fight a mini boss, the Abomination, one of the experiments.

after its defeat, you return to complete your mission,
1. Infiltrate the infected facility
2. Find the AI, and destroy it.
3. Self destruct the facility destroying everything.
4. escape the chaos.

there will be many threats, which i haven't planned.

probably i will be making a laser corridor like in resident evil.

and a few machine gun turrets and machine gun tiles.

if file size doesn't support such luxury, i will skip it to a simple C4 detonating the AI. and the facility.

So I checked it out and I want to start this review telling you that the environment that you was able to make is outstanding, the feel of being in a abandoned village in the middle of a desert is a perfect fit for a zombie survival map. The buildings and everything seems to be well placed and its really nice to camp on some places. Though the real reason why I fell in-love on this map is that somehow you perfect the balance of camping and wandering on a zombie survival map. I never found a map that actually able to do that even on some stand alone games. Gameplay mechanics is also easy to understand and really fun and seeing zombies becoming stronger if they ate dead zombies is kinda creepy but challenging. Also getting supplies and help from HQ command is quite a great idea and seems give a good impression for your map. One of the most fun part of the map is the reloading as you have to time yourself on when to reload and spamming the R is quite fun XD. Overall this is one hell of a amazing map.

its great that you recognize most of the gameplay mechanics!,

when playing with friends, you will have a few objectives like the supply boxes that spawns randomly across the map.

teaming up to kill mini bosses,

splitting up/grouping benefit,

night mode roles,

baiting, etc.

if you have any ideas to promote team fun, post it here!
