WoW: Legacy of War v0.73 by xD.Schurke

WoW Arena is a PvP based Warcraft3 map. You chose a hero and fight in different arenas against your enemies. Your heros levels up each round and you get gold and arena points. Read more about the map!

- All classes and nearby all skilltrees of WoW
- Triggered values like: Resilience, Addheal, Spelldamage
- Multiboard which shows: Class/Hitpoints/Mana/Kills/Deaths of all Players
- Many triggerd Abilitys
- A Map Maker who wants balance and give all for it (regulary updates)
- 5vs5 games


Important Values

Here I want to explain the different things which are maybe important

Hero Stats

Strenght
Each point increases the hitpoints by 10
Each point increases the liferegeneration
Agility
Each 10 points increases the armor by 1
Intelligence
Each point increases the mana by 10
Each point increases the manaregeneration

Each point of the main attribute increases the damage by 0.7

Armor Types

Cloth: Takes 110% damage from normal attacks
Leather: Takes 100% damage from normal attacks
Mail: Takes 90% damage from normal attacks
Plate: Takes 80% damage from normal attacks

Resilience

Resilience is a value which is increased with items.
Every time a unit damages your hero he gets 0.2 hitpoints for each point of Resilience

Other Stuff

Addheal: Increases the healing done by each healspell
Spelldamge: Increases the damage done by each damagespell (Only Casters)

Many spells have a casting time and also all damage and healing spells are based on the "Main Attribute" of the hero.

Arenas

At this moment there are 5 arenas where you can fight! Each round one of those is randomly picked.

Battleground

- You have to take controll of the huge tower over 10minutes to win the match
- 2 other towers for extra income

In your starting area you will revive and you can buy items.
Currently there are 30 diffrent items but there will come much more.

so the map is not finished yet (so not 100%) there are many things left, and till now i don't have another name, i thought about to make a "PvP" map out of it so maybe there will be other pvp things then arenas and the arena part will be a mode in this map but currently i'm not sure about it
i will think about this idea again ;)

Hmm I like it. If I ever see this hosted ill join it right away :grin:.( I dont host something until Ive actually played and liked and is popular at the least)

Terrain needs a lil work. You can make it super perfect and complex or you could make it a lil simpler. Ive played this one CTF map and the terrain was very simple and it looked pretty good.

Instead of making a copy of WoW Arena Allstars why dont you make this map a WoW RPG with save/load ? You can add PvP as well, World PvP, it should be cool.

so i thought a lot about the map, and i have much things i will or i could change, first of all i thought about it, to make it a pvp map, so you could chose the mode (example: arena mode, battleground mode, invasion mode, conquer mode)

the save/load system will save items, level and maybe a pvp rank, but it will be only be loadable if the specific mode is selected (example: match mode, or tournament mode)

Also there are nearly no "imba" items, i made a system for me to create all item, it's based on a simple point system (example: item XY has 50 itemspoints, 1 attribute point is equal to 1 itempoint, 3 addheal are equal to 1 itempoint, 1.5 spelldamage are equal to 1 itempoint etc.)
Finally i try to balance all classes, in the future i will add a triggerd casting system to better handle the cast interrupts

so far some infos for you :p

The map will get some big changes, there will be much more then only Arena, but everything will be PvP :)

The new versions will get the new name, upcoming version has only some bug fixes i think, but the versions after are going to be totaly new^^

Information about Battleground Mode:
You have to take controll of the Tower Controller (item) to gain controll of the tower and win (takes 10min) each time the item drops the timer for your team stops.
Defend the wearer. (The wearer is slowed by 50%)
At this moment you only can stay at the tower and can't leave the area around (maybe i change)
each team has a safety spot where they respawn and can buy items. You only can enter the safety spot if you don't have the 'Tower Controller' item and your health is about 40% (I will add a combat check system)


There are also 4 little towers which you can controll to get 5 gold per second each tower (normal income 5 gold per second).
You won't get arena points

In the beginning there is like in each other mode a 70 second hero selection time, you will be teleported to the battleground and will be paused until the 70 seconds are over.

Each hero starts with level 30.

So some informations to the new mode :) hope you like the idea


EDIT: I changed the towers to 2, each side of the "mountains" is one.
EDIT 2: Changed income to 5 per second and 5 per tower

so v0.73 is nearly finished and will add the new battleground and the new mode system
also there will be some balance issues, may i upload the new version in the evening, or tomorrow :)

At least, i've thought about the next new mode (conquer mode), it will be a bigger island with many bases which are you going to conquer to defeat your enemy. It will be a aos like mode with some events, like nagas will attack the bases of both player and conquer them. Also there will be some nice features for example, you increase the defence of a base or defeat a neutral race to gain controll over them.
I start working on this mode next week, i think it takes a week or 2, i dunno :), hope you like my new ideas to get a new unique map^^

bump
some news: with the next version i will rework many "main-systems" like casting, multiboard and hero selection. cast time will be triggered to get effected if the unit gets damaged, also you can interrupt your casts by moving etc. multiboard will show maybe diffrent things, i think about a own multiboard for each player which shows kills etc. and triggered stat things, like spelldamage, because i don't like the actually hero selection i will rework it to make it "better" (will definitly look better)

news: there won't be a new hero selection because of some complications, but i will add more details to the heroes like stats etc. actually i'm working on the implementing of the new caster system, casts which deal damage will be affected by the new system, during the next days i will upload some new screens of the new multiboard and "The Island", this is the place were you play the new mode.

Also i search for some Testers, need to find all bugs and things which should be more balanced, PM me or mail me: [email protected]
Tester will be in credits and also always be the first geting the new version :)
