Round Table of Arkain

Oh yeah. I am willing to share the program I use to create the review if someone wants to create a decent looking review without much effort. Just send a PM or something.

I guess I could add that as an option. Personally I think it make it look less epic though.

@karskin Nothing is classified from me !!!

You'll just have to wait for how long, be it weeks or months until the next part begins being made.

As for any info, that's still classified. Even to me, hehe.

Just interfering before any real fights start here:

I don't fight man, why would I fight these people too? They all seem like nice folks.

Cheers!
You have done an outstanding job :goblin_good_job: :goblin_yeah:
Starting from plot to custom unites and that General BloodClaw icon :)
Really looking foward to the Orc Book!
I am gonna give a Review later today

!SURPRISE!

Take a closer look at the first post!
(You *might* get a shock so make sure to sit down first ;) )

Since the campaign has been finished sooner than I thought I decided to take my break later - in some weeks - and start working on the, who would have thought that, First Orc Book - don't worry, I'll still fix the First Human Book. And I still want to add the Kasrkin mode.

I've already begun creating the first two chapters of the campaign at the same time I started creating the Human Book. Unlike the human campaign, here it's only two chapters so far and there's no demo - yet.

More information coming later - screenshots as well. :P

Great Shar , you are like Hercules , never a free moment . Always fight against the endless forces of darkness . Also i cant wait for the orc book , because i really want to see the horde of Arkain

Just a piece of advice as you progress on the orc book..

Please.. do not make the orcs talk all formal like the average human..

Of course it depends on how you want the orcs to act in the first place. Personally I think LotR made the perfect definition of how orcs act. They plot against each other, there is nothing reminding of loyality, words like "sorry" are not in the dictionary, they adress each other as "maggot" and insulting terms instead of sir and so on (unless they talk to a superior).

After all there should be a difference between races.

So i played camping and i think i am capable of giving a review on it.Please do note that i havent watched the interlude scene so forgive me if i say somthing wrong :)

1.Terrain:3/5+
I dont put a great emphasis on terrain In my opinion its the least important and fun thing on a camping.i would say you have done a good job whith it,you could have added some more features like more bushes, flying birds etc.
2.Unites:5/5+
Outstanding job,I have nothing to say about them, you truly have done and outstanding job.
3.Plot:4/5+
This together whith Unites are the strong points of the camping,I would say you have done a good job whith the plot it not for an Oscar award but it is decent. One thing i did not like is that you dident even showed a cinematic of General Cleavehand fall :( or a secret mission that shows how [SPOILER ALERT] Aron the sacraficing saved from demons and joined the cult of bleeding or even a cinematic or mission on how [SPOILER ALERT] did the veterans of voidwar joined demons.
4.Gameplay:4/5+
Well the new AI system makes the game more challenging as well as more fun,One thing that i did not like during the mission inside the cave when i am moving in one of the rooms the doomguards from the other side of the wall keep casting rain fire on me they are suposed not to see me :goblin_jawdrop:as well as the "Alias" Mision it was way to easy if not the easyies mission on the game,i was kinda disappointed by it
5.Overhall:4/5
You have done a remarkable job in this camping looking foward to the other two books

Progress report:
Currently re-triggering Chapter One to make it stand up to my current standards - the old triggers aren't that bad but they have some issues that need to be fixed.
The terrain also needs some work. The chapter doesn't have any Side Quests yet but I might add one - two would be impossible without creating a complete new map and I don't think the chapter really *needs* many side quests.

Input for the first chapters:
Chapter One:
Five years have passed since the end of the Voidwar. The Humans are still weakened and the Orcs use this to raid them.
You play as Rangul of the Deathbreeze Clan and attack a human village. After destroying it, you continue to the mansion of a lesser noble in order to acquire his riches. By that, Rangul will show the chieftan that he'll be a worthy successor. He also adopts a human girl his men find in the mansion.
No base construction.
Chapter Two:
15 years later. The chieftain of the Deathbreeze Clan is dead. Rangul is the new chieftain but still not accepted by many in clan - mostly because Vanessa. To prove his strength he goes raiding once again. He attacks an expedition of the Elves who found a powerful artifact. He also faces Human and Dwarven supporters of the expedition and kills the leader of the Hammerfall Dwarves.

Quick update info:
The Epilogue of the First Human Book has been fixed - campaign has already been updated.
I also added a bit backstory to the Author's Notes (Maps Section, first post of the campaign). I'll add some stuff there from time to time and from now on, every announcement like this will be in the Maps Section if it's about the Human Book since this is now about the First Orc Book - but of course you can still ask me stuff and discuss about all campaigns here if you want. ;)

Announcement
After some consideration I decided to take a little break I wanted to take after the First Human Book being completed. Actually, I'm not really taking a break - I will still work on the campaign since it makes fun - but I won't post any progress reports for a while since there won't be that much to report.
I'll work a bit on the demo (I want to release the first two missions and an interlude) and release it once these three maps are done.
But don't worry, this project won't die. I'm just takin' working a bit slower for a while. ;)
