Obvious balancing issues aside, Red Alert 2 was, in my opinion, the best in the franchise. The characters were funny and interesting, the gameplay was a lot more fast-paced, and the units were creative as hell. But then again, I'm the kind of weirdo that plays RTS's for the units and the campaigns, but I had a lot of fun playing it.
