Is there a way to have more multiple skins for the same model?

Im trying to use more than one skin for a the same model EX: Zombie A without skin, zombie B with skin. Is there a way to do this? Or if use a skin I can only use that skin for that model.

I suppose you could do that using geoset animations and basically duplicating the entire model and animations into an "alternate" form... but overall it's a pain to do and much faster to simply create a different model per skin IMO
But how you would do that, grab the zombie model from warcraft 3 and manually adding the skin? something like that?

Edit: Misread your post, my skin solution is for swapping models.

You can try this method although it may be buggy (only available on patch 1.31+):
  • Unit - Set Unit Skin of (Triggering unit) to 'Hamg'
When a zombie comes into play you can choose from all of your different skins and give it one at random or however you'd like.
