I hope there's more to come... Especially something like the High Elven Spearman. I'm a fan of spearmen... and I must admit that there's a general lack of spearmen here on hive. If there are any, their animations aren't correct.

Yes, that thing elven reinforcements from Lorien didnt exist in books.
But to be honest, the elves participated in War of the Ring. In that time was a war on the North independently about a South War( war against Isengard and Mordor). Lothlorien twice attacked by Goblins of Moria and Mordor, Mirkwood attacked from Dol Guldur and Dwarves fought also at Esgaroth and Erebor. And months passed after Fall of Barad Dur when Dol Guldur destroyed by Galadriel.
So elves taken their part in fight.

Anyway, the model is awesome.

Making Peter Jackson's random Elves (Helm's Deep) from this is rather easy..

To make Lothlórien unit you just need :

1) texture variant for this (less golden);
http://www.theargonath.cc/pictures/hdelves/hdelves.html

2) modify helmet so portrait matches;
http://midnightsilhouette.deviantart.com/art/Lothlorien-Elf-Helmet-Sketch-97780459

Anyone with mdlvis and something that's not ms-paint can do it on his/her own in like 30 minutes.

alternatively, you can use this portrait

from here http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/...rev=search=blood%20elf%20guardian&d=list&r=20

I might use these elves instead of my own models, which says something about their quality :)
But I don't like their cloaks.. simple foot soldiers should not have cloaks methinks.

Actually, the head would need to be remodeled since it only has the face under the helmet, and it also needs hair. I will make sindar versions though, don't worry. But first, uruks.

YES PLEASE!

Just a question though...
If you're going to make the uruk-hai pikemen, are you going to make their pikes really long like the ones in the movie? Or is that not going to be practical in Warcraft III because of the attack animations? I've never actually seen any pikemen on hive. Only spearmen...

Another great elven unit, 5/5
Ya the Lorien elves did kill the group of orcs and goblins that followed the fellowship (pretty sure the Lorien elves in the book said they wouldn't make it to the other side of the woods) and so I'm pretty sure they had a standing military, plus there was the War in Mirkwood and the other wars in the North (But of course in the hobbit we actually get to see the army of Mirkwood so their are those elves for sure). But I don't know of Lorien elves ever being at Helms deep, I think it was in the movie to add loss when that elf died (Haldir?)

Random off topic @ Elves not appearing in book and fighting.

In the book, during Helm's Deep battles, it is implied Lorien also battles with the forces of Sauron himself (source from Back Hate and Dol Guldur but not Minas Morgul). However, the Elves used one of their rings (Nenya), so it was a rather futile war on Sauron's side. Sauron doesn't have his Ring at this point and can't do anything about the Elven Ring, so he lost probably hundreds of thousands of warriors. All this concludes shortly after the capture of Isengard.

As for the movie, it wanted to make it more obvious that the elves are actually doing something, so Peter Jackson threw in some pointy ear cannon fodder to please the crowd :)
