What do you think of the project map itself? (NO POLL TROLLING PLEASE)

9. It should be as big as model is set to be so that the circle would *wrap* unit around it and not a tiny circle between one's legs. Of course not too big one. Experiment with it, it should be slighting farther from feet, but it all depend on model itself. It is just for the polish.
12. You are to increase spawn time so they don't appear so fast.
14. When hero rivives from death, use action Selection - Select Unit for Player so I don't lose my selection when hero dies, because now I must select it in the middle of battle.
16. After gathering stones I returned to house, cinematic showed but but hero wasn't there, it appeared only after that day.
19. It is not about gold, it is that when I take quest to slay 15 satyrs, Guards kill it and I get credit for killing it, meaning my objective goes on and their kills applies as my own kills.
21. Making him invulnerable would result in easy satyr slaughter. Perhaps you can put it farther way from the edge of camp and make it Passive, it is up to you.
23. But God and Goddess are the same just different gender so in my opinion you don't have to repeat it in the sentence.

9. I just change the selection scale of the unit so it will fit on the size of the unit so CHECK!

12. CHECK! Neutral Creeps and Player 6 Creeps spawn has respawn time of 30 seconds instead of 15 seconds.

14. CHECK! I use this trigger.... is this right?

16. Hmm.... I tried it in mine and I didnt experience this... very weird.

19 and 21. I dont know if I will do this but I think its better if they are not Passive... I'll just make the trigger for kills only apply to Player Group - Player 1 so other players wont increase kills to the quests so CHECK!

Something augh :D houses are cool, but i have some feeling like...like something is on my right shoulder, i cant describe that feeling its awful - thats because you do not have windows, what if rains or if strong winds come? Buy windows :p

Well, my problem is the windows really, I dont knw how to raise the window in so they will fit on the scokets.

As i said i am not good at making terrains, so please do not be angry on me because of my suggestions. What you did is probably better, i just had something like this on my mind.

I cannot apply yet a fog color but amazing, your terrain! Hmm.... Yes, I will try to change my terraining style at the next areas of the game.

I tried the map, and aside from a lot of grammatical mistakes, the gameplay was quite well planned. My only qualm from a gameplay perspective was the placing of a lvl. 6 in the beginning area, and after hitting lvl. 10, how easy the guardian was to slay. But, other than that, the story is interesting, and I quite enjoyed it. Thank you for the opportunity to test this map.
 
I tried the map, and aside from a lot of grammatical mistakes.

Take few minutes of your time to help him, write down on .txt correct version of his quests or what else it is and send him so he can fix that. Thats how i would help, but since my English is incredible weak i cannot write clean sentences even for myself.
 
Please check if this is alright, there was no cinematic, quest wasnt completed, but items changed when i came near "Kan" to heal up.


Edit: Ok somehow i got quest completed, and earned 30 gold as reward.

Something like two minutes passed, i killed another crystal deposit and check attached picture to see what came out. (Second picture)

Edit: Sorry for another edit, but same quest got completed one more time when i entered house. And on more thing, i have attached new image. You should put last created unit into variable - that wanderer. Because your wolf respawned, and right after wolf demon respawned so i never seen real wanderer in cinematic. Also these demons are hard to click, i am unskilled player, maybe it is ok like this idk. But for me they are just small.

Edit: Well it seems i will have to write tons of these :) im sorry, this is just will to help, if you want me to stop please say.

Your narration (Argus went to sleep..) comes in same time as he speak to wanderer, and now its morning, argus is at his bed but he is still speaking to wanderer and narration is still active :D

I see that you were trying here, it is good. But i will suggest just one more thing, before you start working on more terrain, check all of your quest triggers and terrain that already is done. When everything is set ready proceed with further terraining.
I say that based on my experience because, if you make whole map real quick, it will be pain in the ass to start remaking it from beginning :S

Ok do this for second, set charges on sapphire item to 1 (in object editor) Because i lost few sapphires, when they droped from crystal deposit. And yea i bought 5 hammers :) nothing could stop me, other items were not so interesting like hammer :D Take care of that

Magic stones drop pretty often, and respawn rate is short so i farmed like 600g in 5-10 mins

Thank you though this is just an early WiP but in next screenshots, I think I'll mix some tiles with the Desert tile and if you have a suggestion on what to mix with it just tell me.... Custom resources here are allowed!

And yes. I'll add charges in the item Sapphire. I forgot to add the stack trigger into it and also making it charged. Hmmm.... yes Magical Stone drops really often because it has a drop rate of 55-100%. Wow, 600!? Really..... hahahahaha! Very nice. I guess I must really drop the rate of drop. Thank you again for a helpful comment again!:grin:
 
Yea, though i think your sapphire already is charged, it just needs to be set to 1 in editor. Like this sapphire gets lost when you acquire new one, while you are still having 1 in your inventory. Drop rate, yea lower it to 5-10%, because respawn is quick :p And boost other items, so i will have to think more what is better to buy.

Check triggers that handle regions, I think you missed Is Triggering Unit : Hero
condition. Also moving unit instantly back is really bad. Maybe add few pathing blockers and
once when you unlock area, just destroy them.

oK..so i played... 10 minutes i guess?.. so here's my starting review

1.) The cinematic on the house.. make Angus to walk to the door.. do not make him Move Instantly outside.. its VERY WEIRD..


2.) The neutral hostile.. is strong for a beginning hero.. try to reduce.. also the Ursa near the fountain attacks me even if i don't get really near to him.. pls. reduce the Creep engagement area. at Game Constants..


3.) How about turning on the Bounty for the Neutral Hostile?.. even it is intended its better if you give the player a reward gold for killing hostiles..


4.) Increase the starting mana.. its essential for survival.. you don't even give a bonus potions to Angus.. if you don't give a starting potions the player will consume its soul runes Fast.. making it difficult to continue more.. i mean lessen the time of survival..

5.) What is the use of food?.. i suggest make it a CLOCK.. MINUTES/SECONDS.. but if you use Food Eat system then nevermind this..

6.) The tileset you used below the trees.. for me it looks like it doesn't fit in the trees.. how about using Yellow Greenish tileset?..

7.) How about putting some rocks,logs,greenish flowers on the way?.. The forest looks empty..

1. Well, actuallt I cant do that. I tried to make Angus walk to the region where he'll teleport out of the house but instead he stayed on the region and didnt even teleport out of the house.

2. Yes, its quite strong.. some tips when you are low in health, either go to the Blacksmith Kan or in the Lair of the Magical Goddess to heal. For the creep engagemant area, Ok I'll do that but first can you tell me how to find that?

3. Actually, I forgot to turn that on so Ill do that!

4. Ok, I will do that also. I'll give starting Potions to Angus.

5. Food is like a capacity of the Hero you can control. 1/4 because you have Angus.

6. Hmmm.... I'll find a tile that fits that.

7. Oh sure! No problem.

You can find it.. Advance - Gameplay Constants - Creep-Guard Distance, also adjust the Creep-Guard Return Distance.

About the food.. it means that there is a chance you can control 3 more heroes?..

Where in can find magical stones?...

For the distance, the lower the number... what? And the highr what will happen?

About the food, yes, even if this game is single player, you can control multiple heroes.

You can find Magical Stones from Sapphire Stones.

Guard Distance refers to the distance where the hostile will engage enemy units.. So let say you have a HOSTILE in the fountain and your hero walk in a HOUSE. .. the distance between the HOSTILE location and the HOUSE is 500.. so if your Guard Distance is 500 the hostile will attack your hero.. but if it is (LET SAY 200) your hero needs to be 200 so the hostile will attack.. but because the guard distance is 200 the hostile wil not attack your hero if it walks on the HOUSE..


So on the other hand... The higher the Guard Distance Guard Return Distance and Guard Return Time.. the longer the hostile will chase your hero


How about put a Timer on the multiboard so the player can know how much time he/she spend playing this game.

When I started the game it said the map was Alpha version 0.1a, so I don't know if you forgot to change that to 0.1b Alpha or the download link hasn't been changed.

But anyway after 5 minutes of gameplay I noticed that when fighting a group of units 3 or greater they spawn right back before you can even kill all of them at once.... I would suggest increasing the spawn timer and also adding a radius of 600 where player 1's(or what ever player your hero is) controlled units are in that area of the dead creep, then the spawn timer doesn't start until player 1 leaves that radius of 600.

I will contuine to play this well terrain and adventuring RPG later when I have time and give a further review!

For now here is some [color=green1]+REP[/color] to keep you motivated for updates!

Hmmmm, I just forgot to change it at the Load Screen and Minimap Description to 0.1b and I will increase the spawn for the creeps. BTW, you might want to have a look at the previous pages. There is the early WiP of the terrain for the new area called "Foul Wasteland"

What do you mean by Caves? Because if you mean the Forgotten Caverns, then not much, actually very little amount.

What I meant is the cave in the Foul Wasteland, is that what you mean that has the floating rocks and doodads?

I noticed Kan is the size of Angus and Kan is a dwarf! ahaha overall I kinda like this rpg and I dont say that often about rpgs, they kind of bore me :p ahaha good luck with the project mate!
