Hate dota?

Why does everyone hate dota?

I hate it because there are much more enjoyable AOS maps than dota.
I hate it because it's overrated and overplayed.
I hate it because it has too many heroes.
I hate it because items play a too big role in determining the winner.
I hate it because of the short fights and stun locks.
I hate it because you can't buy units.
I hate it because of the bad terrain.

That sums it up for me.

I don't hate the game, but certain elements about it. Like having to "know" which items to get, and how people call you noob when you don't know every single mode, what every single ability/hero does, all the items and all the strategies.

I also hate people who play it, die, blame the team, call us noobs, start flaming and when I tell them to stfu, they tell me to get a life and act like a 12 year old nerd.

I dont hate dota, i dont like it and i dont play it but i just wanted to know why people hate dota that is why i made this thread.

i don't like it because

A. the community sucks, bad sportsmanship.
B. icefrog steals models and skins and uses them in his map without giving credit to the original artist.
C. it clogs up the custom map list too much.

if almost all the things from dota are stolen from other maps and artists how did it became the most known and played wc3 map?!

i hate it because so many ppl play it that they are infected with the 'cunt game' virus and that they don't know how to host other games anymore and thus infecting my gamelist with Dota smut and thats 50% the reason why i don't play War3 anymore.

He actually does credit them, both in the Quest log, changelogs, the loading screen and the website. JetFangInferno turns up there, I believe.

EDIT: Where is the evidence that he's stolen spells? You can say it, but it means nothing without the ocular proof

Dota... What can I say? It does fill up the custom games list about 4/5 is dota. People play it over and over, get over it already. So many people host it, it's like it needs its own filter!

I also don't like the fact you can end up with ridiculous damage and attack speed. It makes many spells useless. It disables a big part of wc3 spells- channeled spells. It doesn't disable activables, but they're still not in DotA.

Last DotA game I played, my ally, who played the heroine using Dark Ranger model, had a 600 damage bonus

even though i'm an avid dota player, i'm really not interested in wasting my time on pubs and it's so hard to get an aos game that's not dota (OR THAT BAD NARUTO GAME) up cause they take forever to fill, people need to dl, people leaving once it doesnt fill/dl fast enough, etc

probably #1 most annoyance for me. but i still like it.

1) I hate it because it too popular and ruins the mapping community because it stops some creative map makers to actually put their ideas into life.
2) The map is too much hosted which result in good maps never get popular and usually fade away.
3) The map has too much content.
4) The DoTA map is beginning to be considered as a game which is totally silly.
5) There are probably a lot more but that is all I can think of at the moment.

1) and 2) are nearly similar reasons.
3) I don't understand how a map with a lot of content is bad.
4) If it's not a game then what is it?

My reason for hating dota:
I don't like the map. And in more details,
1. Items matter more than the heroes.
2. Experience matters more than skill.
3. Stunlocks are annoying.
4. Farming takes way more time than the battles.

If Dota didn't have any of these, I wouldn't mind if it became the most popular map ever.

Yes, the creators of dota suck for stealing things but don't you think it's the n1 map of all custom since it is the most played and there r tourneys? I personally play this wtf just for fun, coz I don't like that game or any custom non-melee.

But this getting kicked when u dont have lag in some stupid 'nordic only', I'd say kick all nordic in non-nordic games. I don't play this game and i don't care... but it has happened and irritated me.
