I dun think we can.. They didn't even invented Glass-City at all =/...

AND..

How about the stratosphere or whatever makes massive super-heated sunlight hit earth cus it has holes?.. How about.. They invented just in time the Sphere has big hole that already melted houses,humans and things!.. If it has a big Hole .. The super-heated sunlight will hit and earth will be overheated.. Lava goes up nowhere.. WE WILL DIE.. So if they don't invent any Sphere-Fixing Invention.. We are doomed..

Soo..I have two answers.. Possible or Impossible.. Because the scientist can't invent to fix the sphere..

I likely than.. Mars.. Mars has unknown minerals hidden underground.. And.. They are starting to discover grasses and plants in it.. And.. If is possible to grow plants in mars.. The Humanity Will Colonize And Destroy The Nature Just What Like They Did On Earth.. So no planets can survive our Wraith.. YOU SEE OUR !..

In the far future hopefully terraforming technology (most likely a further evolution of Green technology) will have reached a high enough peak inorder to transform the moon into a livable world. Thats what I would hope atleast.

Mars is probably too far off for now, the moon will most likely be a first experiment in Terraforming due to its size and etc. But...then again, not much to work with considering the moon is a barren wasteland.

Meh...I'm just rambling.

That's what I'm hoping.

But then you gotta wonder... is that what we were really made for? To come in and change everything as we go, like some sort of virus?

That's what it reminds me of. We come in and set up shop. Who are we to drastically alter these planets?

But at the same time, it opens up all sorts of exciting ideas for the future. I'm not living in no space dome on a grey rock.

i think from the far future humans will dominate first the ocean..lol haha nxt step is after that people will develop something else before going to space living..

As an amateur astronomer, i can tell you this. Moon will never support life because of:

No core activity - it's just a rock, it is not heated from within tho it used to have a molten core long time ago

No mineral soil - we all know that soil and minerals it contains are the basis of life we know

No gravity - this screws up most - moon's gravity is too weak to contain atmospheric gasses

I don't think that we will get out of this rock too soon. We have huge load of [random censored word] in earth. This is an objective, which can only be achieved with international coorporation (i mean- no more wars and stuff). Unstable politics would make colonization pretty hard.

The Death Star would be nearly impossible to create in real life, especially with our technology... So the joke is over.

My conclusion is that we have to find planets better suited for life than the Moon or Mars. The moon and mars would be good if we all lived in a science-fiction universe, which we don't.

If we have to wait until we have technology, the earth will probably already be dead, probably because of some other technology we invented too.
 
Terraforming is not so advanced and sf-ish, would just be expensive and would take ages to give results. Also, scientists only have plans on how to do it on mars.

the fact that it is a joke allows him to say anything, fun killer! :p

The fact that we still can't reflect or stop Sun waves pretty much kills the Mars idea.

It's direct sunlight that owns the planet surface. The idea is to increase the overall planet temperature using greenhouse effect while reducing the surface exposure. That will reduce the day-night temperature difference and enable liquid water to stay on the surface. Increase in the overall temperature would eventually lead to ice cap melting and releasing water. There are a lot of other frozen compounds in the planet's ice caps so the scientists do not know how that would reflect on the atmosphere.

If blocking UV rays is what you want, just add ozone.

As for "terraforming" the moon, it won't be possible simply because the moon is too small to "hold on" to an atmosphere.
 
Someone ain't reading :D And the plan was to inhabit mars with primitive extremophyllic bacteria which would produce greenhouse gasses. Just adding ozone is like trying to drain the ocean using a spoon.

You could probably add ozone-producing bacteria. And if there aren't bacteria like that, we could probably create some.

We do not terraform the moon (as you say later). What we do is import that stuff from Earth. Then we can set up bubbles containing those 3 things.

They coexist. While our governments may be at war, scientists tend to get along pretty well about this.
Wars run economy, as long as there is money, there will be wars.
War does not run economy. It is very profitable, but it is not by any means the reason economy exists.
So i think we'll just have to take our petty conflicts across the solar system. IMO fighting wars in space would be far better; at least we would not destroy our planet.
War is not the reason for destroying our planet. We do that other ways.

Explosion at NASA? "Those crazy scientists."
The point of terrorism is to cause terror. They don't do that by attacking places that explode without their help.

And scientists can be very sensitive about their research. You want credit for it, you need to make sure nobody else releases it first.

It is correct that mars no longer has magnetospehre, but it does have molten core. Consider that Mars is about half the size of earth in diameter so it's tectonic movement must have stopped earlier.
