Discuss Frozen's universe, Arendelle, upcoming Frozen 2 and anything related. Share fan creations, your personal review on the movie, interpretations (is there something you think the movie addresses etc.) and speculation for what's to come.

I will start the thread by sharing this amazing music video "Find a Way" (clean version):

So it's official? Frozen 2?
Yes, Frozen 2 is announced to come to theaters on November 27th 2019.

Do you mean is Elsa gay? I'm not sure, it wasn't specified in the movie.

It seems that the film's plot has not been revealed yet:
Frozen 2 (2019) - IMDb

Everything that has "2" in its title and is produced by Disney is a shit movie, so it's not gonna be any different this time.

Btw, who remembers Frozen 1 1/12.5?
Frozen Fever - Wikipedia
Frozen Fever (2015) - IMDb

At first, this 8 minutes short film / sequel to Frozen had been theatrically released in 2015 alongside the live-action Disney film Cinderella.

Quoting:

"In “Frozen Fever,” it's Anna's birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but when Elsa catches a cold, her powers may put more than just the party at risk."

Overrated.
I watched Frozen due the insane hype, it was an average Disney movie to me at best.
I think that it's overrated as well, haha. I find it bad at telling its story, and Olaf was totally unnecessary, just adding to the cheap feeling that grew throughout the film. This said, it's sad to realize that Olaf will be in the sequel as well (Josh Gad is in the cast). However the start setting was quite nice in my opinion, and the characters were intriguing as well.

I think Olaf may have been necessary. You see, we keep watching these western animations after we've grown up and at some point we may forget that their target audience is (supposedly) children. I mean, the overall story, characters and setting were really nice (it seems to have been based on The Snow Queen tale), but a lot of those princess films have the over-the-top charismatic comic relief character, so I kinda was expecting that. However sometimes when I'm watching Studio Ghibli or some western animation, I happen to be so into the movie that I forget about all that and suddenly get kinda disappointed by an eventual infantilization of the the plot, so I know how you feel.

But I must say, the voice actor for Olaf in my language really gave another life to the character! They took a guy that was comedian and actor for the job, he really nailed it - Olaf was actually funny and spontaneous most of the time. Now I don't know about the english version...

"Different" universes:
undefined

I totally forgot about that series! I don't know if @BlueSaint knew, but Once Upon a Time (TV Series) is the exact thing in case you wondered how would Elsa interact with Snow White, Robin Hood, Captain Hook (and other characters) in 21st century U.S.
However all the three people that I know that watched that series told me that it was... kinda bad actually haha.

Same universe:

+ even triple:

Same-face syndrome much? I find it amazing we still get this character design flaw very commonly nowadays, even from some big companies like Blizzard or some other film industry company that certainly has the means to avoid that =P

I must admit Frozen is in my opinion the best Disney film ever made, just cutting before the Lion King with a roster of songs that easily beats any other roaster. There are some individual songs in several movies who are on par with Frozen, such as "Be Prepared" from the Lion King or "Hellfire" from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, but never has a Disney film had such an amazing roster of songs, aside from "Happy Snowman" there were no songs that weren't in my opinion amazing. With that said though, all Disney sequels ever made aside from Lion King 2 have been abysmal and even Lion King 2 was just mediocre. So taking a look at Disney's past I'm not filled with hope but if Frozen II is just as amazing as its predecessor no one will be happier than me.

Oh damn, this may be the biggest spoiler yet, Anna and Kristoff are Simba and Naala, do you realize what this means? Simba and Naala lived in a pack with only two males, Mufasa and his brother Scar which means Naala and Simba were either cousins or siblings, Frozen II is going to be another Disney film about the benefits of incest, just like Lion King. ^^

Man and I thought Elsa and Anna would be a tricky romance to pull of, I'll have to say I find the thought of them two together more likely than Hans and Kristoff, although they do look cute together, all for it.

Olaf's Frozen Adventure - Official US Trailer:
The trailer for Olaf's Frozen Adventure is here! The all-new featurette will open in US theatres in front of Disney/Pixar's Coco beginning November 22.

Walt Disney Animation Studios (WDAS) and Pixar Animation Studios are teaming up this holiday season when WDAS’ new featurette “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure” opens in front of Disney•Pixar’s original feature film “Coco” on Nov. 22, 2017. The new trailer for the featurette will run in front of Disney•Pixar’s “Cars 3,” beginning this Friday, June 16, when Lightning McQueen’s new big-screen adventure opens in theaters nationwide.

“I’m thrilled that Disney Animation’s featurette ‘Olaf’s Frozen Adventure’ will be coming to theaters in November with Pixar’s ‘Coco,’” said John Lasseter, chief creative officer, Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios. “It’s a perfect pairing – they’re both beautiful, heartfelt films about families and how people carry traditions forward. I can’t wait for audiences to get to see both of these terrific projects together on the big screen.”

Featuring four new original songs, the 21-minute featurette welcomes the original cast and characters back to the big screen, including Olaf (voice of Josh Gad), who is on a mission to harness the best holiday traditions for Anna (voice of Kristen Bell), Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel) and Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff). Directed by Emmy®-winning filmmakers Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers-Skelton (“Prep & Landing”), produced by Oscar® winner Roy Conli (“Big Hero 6”), with original songs by Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson (“Between the Lines”), “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure” will be in theaters for a limited time beginning Nov. 22.

“Stevie and I were deeply honored to be entrusted by John [Lasseter] to create an all-new story with these characters we love,” said Deters. “We’re thrilled to have our film play on the big screen with ‘Coco’ during the holidays.”

“We loved getting in the recording booth with these incredible actors who know their characters inside and out,” added Wermers-Skelton. “We can’t wait for audiences to see the featurette, enjoy their performances, and hear the incredible new songs written by Elyssa and Kate.”

“Olaf’s Frozen Adventure” celebrates characters who won over audiences worldwide when “Frozen” first hit the big screen in 2013. Earning more than $1.27 billion globally, the film won two Academy Awards® (best animated film and best original song with “Let It Go”) and a Golden Globe® (best animated feature film). Slated for November 2019, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ untitled feature-length follow-up to the hit film reunites filmmakers Jennifer Lee, Chris Buck and Peter Del Vecho with the Grammy®- and Oscar®-winning songwriting duo Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

ABOUT WDAS’ “OLAF’S FROZEN ADVENTURE”
Olaf (voice of Josh Gad) teams up with Sven on a merry mission in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ 21-minute featurette “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure.” It’s the first holiday season since the gates reopened and Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) and Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel) host a celebration for all of Arendelle. When the townspeople unexpectedly leave early to enjoy their individual holiday customs, the sisters realize they have no family traditions of their own. So, Olaf sets out to comb the kingdom to bring home the best traditions and save this first Christmas for his friends. Directed by Emmy®-winning filmmakers Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers-Skelton (“Prep & Landing”), produced by Oscar® winner Roy Conli (“Big Hero 6”), and featuring a screenplay by Jac Schaeffer and four original songs by Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson, “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure” opens in front of Disney•Pixar’s original feature “Coco” in U.S. theaters on Nov. 22, 2017.

ABOUT DISNEY•PIXAR’S “COCO”
Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself magically transported to the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel's family history. Directed by Lee Unkrich (“Toy Story 3”), co-directed by Adrian Molina (story artist “Monsters University”) and produced by Darla K. Anderson (“Toy Story 3”), Disney•Pixar’s “Coco” opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 22, 2017.

I don't remember rating it before.

Okay I remember now, that's how mood based and irrational my rating is. It's hard to put things on a scale from 1 to 10. Bottom line is that it's an immature family movie. To the average audience it would be 4 out of 10 or even less, definitely not 6 or 7.
