Make sure to let Malmgrev know you are releasing your assets for the Emerald Nightmare. According to his posts, he is making an emerald nightmare campaign, so your stuff might save him time he would otherwise use to make on his tech-tree.

Just to let you know, the icons in this map don't work and bug out if Texture quality is set to low in the settings just an FYI Great map otherwise. Found the Emerald Nightmare to be particularly strong vs Human and weaker against Orc but it might just require different tactics.

UPDATE regarding icons:
You are right, the icons need to be saved in a different way, but it will increase their file size sadly.
This means I'll need to update my icon's template I posted on Hive.

I might make a gameplay video after the contest, and redo some aspects of the map...
Have found 1 minor bug already: dryad has mana, while she shouldn't -.- for for contests sake I won't change it now.

Regarding balance, the idea is to go for Tree form against melee builds, with some Aspect (ultimate ancients) to tank the damage. At the same time use Feralkins and spider druids from range (or blink in to snipe casters).
If anyone thinks Dragons are OP, just check the DoT of Corrisive Breath from Chimeras.

That makes sense I suppose, I wasn't able to get one of the aspects up in time before the fight and my melee didn't last long against the Tauren, so I guess it was poor tactics on my part. I do like all the new spells though for sure.

It is also worth mentioning that while Corrosive Breath does have the parameters for Damage Over Time, it doesn't actually do anything - it seems like it was intended to do DoT at some point, but for the final cut it doesn't.

I see, well I have fixed the icons to to appear in all graphics settings, same with models, so I see no reason for them not to (have play-tested in lower graphics, worked for me).

You must start the map from in-game, and select Night Elf with a 90% handicap. It gives information of it in the lobby before you start the map.

I really need to remake this mess some day, by no means was it finished. But I won'r remove this upload, just know it could be better.

We should get a custom race section under maps for our planned Reforged section, would be cool to have official custom races that all can help contribute to. I can see this map being a great example, it just needs some more love.

Altered melee already exist I believe. Sure hope the max. filesize of 256MB will be increased though...

Well since I'm preoccupied with CSW definitely not now.. also please don't forget, this is Emerald Nightmare was pretty much my very first project, with very little experience.
I should probably polish it once current project is released.
It looks good because full aesthetics overhaul, but gameplay, spells etc. was rather rushed.

I downloaded the map and put it in maps. How do I play nightmare faction because it gives me normal night elves. I also downloaded the resource pack but I don't know where I should put it.

Peak atmosphere is achieved when playing against Night Elves

I liked this race. It doesn't look like a typical Satyr race - "satyr, more satyr, plague treant, slime". No, it looks like Emerald Nightmare, which, according to canon, had more corrupted races in it than satyrs.

• Nice idea to reuse ancient mechanics for Nightmarish Ancients, but as unique elite units.
• Nightmare Dryads... Aren't they way too overpowered? I mean, in compare to huntress, in addition to satyr tricksters, you can have an army with evasion and crippling poison (ok, at least poison is on T3). But they feel more powerful compared to normal dryads, IMO.
• Nightmare Dragon is sick.
• Tainted Druids are cool: a healer that can morph into quite a tanky treant, why not?
• Heroes are... Different. Especially Grove Defiler, that Malfurion-looking hero: his AOE spell is quite strong.

Overall, I always love to see more unusual minions of Old Gods than arachnids (whatever this race is).
For now we have: faceless one race, qiraji race, emerald nightmare race... Perhaps we will see a mantid race someday.
