I've finished skyrim yesteday finally (after like 2 months of playing and total of 59 hours, due to lack of free time for games lately) and it was bloody epic! If only it all were real... I think I'll believe in Sovngarde nonetheless. Speaking of which, you guys might like this:

so you guys all should think twice before running away in cowardice from the face of danger, bros! There really may be Sovngarde, you know!

Barely started playing 3 days ago. Level 12 Nord, going for Assassin build. Currently going for One-handed (dual-wield daggers), archery, sneak and have Elven Smithing. Dark Brotherhood armor set, Elven Daggers and Elven bow, I still have a feeling that my ass gets kicked every single time I fight a major enemy. Any tips would be nice...

...also, my Lydia died.

Buy a bunch of arros like 300 or kill creeps till u have a high amount. Go TO Winterhold. Go justout side of winterhold go to the giants and mammoths. there should be a lake near them. Jump a certain distance in lake. And move in and out of shallow waters firing at the mammoths. That way you cant be attacked but you can sit there all day trainng your arrow skill . Pick up arrows of dead mmamoth. Pick up tusks. Sell tusks at winderhold buy more arrows

Or if you want less "cheatage", just practice enchanting and also alchemy too.

C'mon now, that's just sad. Playing like that sucks all the fun out of the game. :I

Tips? For a sneak character?

Pffft. Hit CTRL, sneak up on whoever you want to kill, equip your dual daggers and click LMB and RMB simultaneously. Problem solved. If you have to face a dragon, use your bow and shouts.

Also, NEVER use followers, and ALWAYS sneak while inside a dungeon. Sneak levels up super-easy, and the perks are EXTREMELY useful. And followers just blow your cover.

I see we are warriors of the same trade, Deolrin.
It's been that way since Oblivion. :xxd:

Just like what Deolrin said, make sure to always sneak. In the wilderness. Dungeons. But not towns. :xxd:
As for my weapons of choice, I would just equip two swords then get the x6 damage perk and equip my Shrouded Hand Wraps; which increase the multiplier to x12.
As for dragons, if they are on the ground and are vulnerable to melee attacks, I would cast Invisibility or drink a potion of it and deal a kickass sneak attack to it. :D

And, yes. Followers are stealthy characters' banes. You should learn to be independent and resourceful when you are out alone.

Meanwhile, even if you wield dual daggers/weapons, it wont get you a double critical damage. The first weapon that you swing gets it.

Also, I wish there were special sneak friendly characters in game :( I bet that woman at whiterun hunting house doesn't do much of a "shadow art" either.

It wasn't name-changed even once. Rui merged another Skyrim thread with it. :/

Huh...?
You do know that you can hit both LMB and RMB at the same time to cut with both weapons at the same time, right? That's the point of dual-wielding.

after you finish the dark brotherhood quest you can get the people there to follow you I think

You can.
When I equip my dual Glass Swords that deal about 117 damage each and deal a x12 critical hit, I can kill an Elder Dragon in one hit by pressing left and right click at the same time.

Really interesting. I've heard from a youtube comment that it wouldn't work on second blade. And he was some pro looking guy who one-hit killed ancient dragons at hardest difficulty. Not pro enough I guess, then.

It's lame that daggers don't get one hand enchant bonuses. My friend switched from duel daggers to swords, and his damage easily doubled. With the x6 or whatever that swords do on sneak, it does more than the daggers anyways. I hope someone makes a mod to fix that.

What the fuck man i started playing again and now I'm at the esbern quest and he was bugged, so i googled and tried to fix it three times... eventually did it...

But now i am liberating falkreath and attacking fort nuegrad and that guy just keeps saying there's more of them here while i killed everyone. I mean all my teammates are just standing there outside the gate not even helping me or something...

Is this like Two Worlds 2 that was kinda fun but when you get past a certain point bugs come more and more often...

did you make sure you killed everyone inside the fort as well? not just the outdoor area?

lol, nevermind he meant a prisoner I didn't set free yet. I was supposed to go around the fortress and attack from behind but instead of that i killed everyone on my own from the front...

EDIT - My bounty at the rift was like 30.000 when i became Thane there, and the innkeeper there swears at me sometimes and at other times he's very nice to me. I think those people there are confused, traumatized...

Getting the 15x damage perk along with the usage of the Shrouded Hand Wraps allows you to rack up your dagger's sneak attack damage to 30x.

Now isn't that painful?
Have you tested it? The wraps say they up one hand weapon damage, which doesn't work for daggers when you enchant +% to armor. Anyways, I'm sure with the creation kit out it will be fixed soon.

There's one question but really, please don't instantly give the damn spoilers, I'm trying to do Master Illusion Ritual quest, and I could find only one book so far. I've been looking everywhere. I'll just ask one thing; are books in the open place or are they in the containers? And all four of them are really in College Of Winterhold space, right?

Tips: The first one is a book. That should give it away already. :xxd:
The second and third ones live among the members. This may sound confusing, but it is true. :)
The fourth one is NOT in the College, but within the vicinity of the College but not past the bridge to Winterhold; or not below the College itself. :xxd:

Nice way of putting it.

I should add to it that you're given quite good hints for the solution of that quest.

Defeated the Alduin today. That game is worth every single cent I spent on it. Well, except for the bugs, a few silly mistakes with game design and consoleish interface, this game is perfect!

Now, it's modding time! Guess I'll abandon the SC2/WC3 modding for a while and wil lworj with Creation Kit instead. Uploading stuff directly on Steam sounds awesome.

Aaaand... hope you guys won't mind if I'll post links to my mods on Steam workshop here when I'll have them ready.

Upload your stuff to SkyrimNexus instead. D:

yeah, second on that. That site is like the ultimate Elder Scrolls mods sharing site. Also, I guess they did not improve modding in skyrim much yet. If I compare the mod quality of oblivion with current mod quality of skyrim, I come to conclusion that there might be still some tools that are needed to be released yet. Maybe a skyrim script extender or something like that. I can't even say that I've ever seen a clean Skyrim quest mod yet.

I never played any Elder Scrolls Games, but that doesn't mean I hate them.
My computer might not handle it.

Well, of course I could use Nexus, buuuut...

1. I'm lazy.
2. I firstly want to make a few simple practice mods, you know, to grasp the editor first, then I'll go on to more massive projects. So nothing fancy to upload to several places yet.
3. I'm not going to worjk on textures or models yet, I myself have no need or skills for that, later, if I'll come up with mod that will require it, I might consider searching for help on the nexus.
