My new Diablo III map is a fast RPG map with many references
to the first Diablo III Gameplay Trailer and the Blizzcon 2008 Diablo III Demo:






The map is the Prequel of my Diablo III Borderlands map. It is the first part of my Diablo III Campaign. Borderlands is the second part.

Story
Two decades have passed since the demonic lords, Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal, set out across the world of Sanctuary on a vicious rampage, twisting humanity to their unholy will. Yet for those who battled the Prime Evils, the memory fades slowly.

When Deckard Cain returns to the ruins of Tristram Cathedral seeking clues to defeat new stirrings of evil, a fiery harbinger of doom falls from the heavens, striking the very ground where Diablo once entered the world. This fire from the sky reawakens ancient evils and calls the heroes of Sanctuary to defend the mortal world against the rising powers of the Burning Hells once again.

maybe in 1 player with low life mobs,and in new tristram but try Grenade in borderlands with 2-3 guys you will see 30 dmg even at max lvl 12 grenade will sucks badly lol,well otherwise i just wont bother use it anyway -.-

I have used grenade at lvl 10 against Azmodan and had no problems because each grenade deals 30 AOE damage. If you throw it into a horde of enemies, it is very effective. 30 damage precious little, but count 30 * 12 grenades = 360 AOE damage. But I will test it again and if necessary, revise grenade and increase the damage...

but i mean,ur game auto balance for the number of player,u could like each 3 lvl increase grenade dmg by 5 just a little something.

Today I will relaese new versions of Borderlands (final version v1.05c) and New Tristram (final version v1.02d). Borderlands use a new Morlu Caster model by Sellensiko. Thank you Sellensiko^^. New Tristram now uses a similar wall texture as Halls of Agony.

And I have revised the demon hunter (grenade skill). Grenade damage increase by 2 damage per level now. I have tested it. It is strong enough. On level 10 (Borderlands) a grenade deals 48 AOE damage. 48 * 12 = 576 total damage. I'm sure the mana cost increased from 30 to 35 and they have slightly smaller AOE...

that way beter 576 dmg instead of 360 dmg lol,if you look at her 2 other aoe spell Fan and multi arrow its pretty the same amount of dmg now thanks Booody for this update im gonna have more fun to take different skills with her now ;)
If you update the FINAL version of those 2 map,that mean more time on Halls of hagony for now woot ;)

So after this release I can concentrate on Halls of Agony.
Some info: You will start with hero level 23, All skills have 2 more skill levels in halls of agony as in Borderlands. For example, Fan of Knives has 8 levels in Tristram, 10 levels in Borderlands and 12 levels in Halls of Agony.

There will are new monster generators (coffins floor, holes). They spawn monsters until they are destroyed or they destroy them after some time itself. And there are dangerous traps (huge guillotines, fire-holes, etc.).

You can kill again more monsters as in New Tristram and Borderlands. Your hero is high level then it makes even more fun. But don't underestimated the hordes of hell, otherwise you're dead faster than you would like. Someone want to lure you into a trap...

New version is released. Have fun^^.

but molten arrow shows in the learning tree also the hotkey E and to use it W but W doesn't work (i tested borderlands Edit: and tristram)

Edit: i ryed the worng versions :S (had ~5 maps with the same name) but now i tryed the newest version and it worked fine for me
Q = Molten Arrow
E = Grenade
etc.

I tried this solo with Monk. ( I finished your 2nd act solo with Demon Hunter before)

There are no enough revival stones to found unlike your 2nd act, so i failed to defeat last boss..
I personally dont like this inventory system that much. Wearing 2 armors and 2 weapons are not that cool.
Other than that, as i said about your 2nd act (which i played first), terrain and gameplay are incredible.. Skills (at least Monk's) seems balanced, and D3 feeling is there!

just one thing, if you're going to compare the difficulty of the two maps, use the same character for accuracy... no matter what map it is, the demon hunter is easier to use (since all of its attacks can hit without the DH being hit) than the monk so definitely a map played with the DH would look easier than a map played with the monk...

so Booody,everytime i ask someone in my game they all said the Demon hunter hotkey is wrong like im asking ' hey can you try using Hotkey E ' and then that using Vault spell,im sure you just sended the wrong map or you forget to add something cuz its definitely bug for evertone.

I also finished this with Witch Doctor today (solo)

It was fun, skills seem balanced. Except there is an issue with Summon Mongrels:
Even all my mongrels are dead, I just cant summon them again, the skill replaces with Sacrifice ability even when there are no mongrels to blow up.. I think you should change that mechanic.
Item descriptions and language issues should be fixed as i said before.
By the way, Barbarian's cleave feels a bit strange, maybe its just me, but you may change it's special effect..

Great game.. I suggest you to fix these problems first, before continuing Act 3

huh its Called COOLDOWN you know?

Nope, i dont prefer standard W3 inventory, i never said that... Maybe slots should like this:
2 for hands (shield and one-handed weapon, or 2 one-handed weapons or 1 two-handed weapon)
1 for body armor only
1 for helmet only
2 for accesories

hmm this is exactly the same thing ROFL? exept for the 2 handed

No this are not the last versions of the both maps. This is only the final version Borderlands 1.05 and New Tristram 1.02. In future there will are Borderlands v1.06 and New Tristram v1.03. But now I work on Halls of Agony.

What minor improvements you mean? language issues will be fixed. But I don't know what is all wrong :/

I like all the content of the map, the storyline, the landscape design (only the grassy territories could use an imported tileset), the creeps, the spells, the bosses!
So now I'm going to play Act 2.
And btw, special thanks for showing the Demon Hunter, I played that class, and it was worth it!

By the way, I wonder, if you're planning any other language versions?
I know, English is an international one, but maybe you were planning to engage some new players for example from Russia :)

Thank you for post. I appreciate very much. But since the maps evolve constantly, other language versions are very expensive to implement. It's hard enough to update two maps. Soon will come a third map: Halls of Agony. If you prefer, you can translate both maps into Russian. I can send you both maps unprotected if you want. I myself will not make translation work anymore.

hey boody i found a small bug in Borderland for the pendant Quest,we get the quest item at the boss and the Npc dont take the pendant with him like it used to do in older version.so everyone ask me if they should keep the pendant -.-

and btw i heard Diablo 3 set will have like different lvl stats,
for exemple Signon set for lvl 15 - 30 - 45 ect
you should boost your set in Borderlands,Halls of agony and for your final map

like you did with the Rune for DH in tristram it doing 40% slow trap and borderland 60% slow !!!

Thank you. Yes I'll try to fix it. The sets in Borderlands are the same like New Tristram and the other items too (and same lvl stats). that will remain so. in Halls of Agony all items are reviewed and stronger versions and there will be new and stronger sets. The rune effects are also increased...

I do have a question, will you make these maps open source? Because there are a few models in the maps that I could really use, and would give credit to the makers.

I can not yet say whether the map will be open source. Maybe later when all parts (4) are published. It was behind a lot of work. But if you want to use my map and models or skins, I can send it unprotected to you and you can use it.

Very nice map, very well done, epic escenario, nice models, and mush more.
I've played with a Demon Hunter thas prety awesome! but I've found a bug in somo items names that only display the color code without name. And the shortcut of the Demon's Hunter Granade are missing, every time I tried to use it use the teleport skill.
Keep working lad, now you are one of the most popular map makers on the Hive xD with those two epics D3 maps. CONGRATULATIONS!
