Hey there fellow Warcraft 3 fans,

Our ongoing project is dedicated to introducing the multi-faction element into the game. Our goal is to enhance nearly all of Blizzard's official melee maps by incorporating additional factions.

At this point, we have 15 playable factions, a new main menu, and revamped gameplay for all of them. The factions are as follows:

To enhance the gaming experience, we have created numerous custom assets and abilities. Furthermore, we have developed Blizzard-like AIs for each of our custom factions, ensuring challenging and dynamic gameplay whether you're playing solo or with friends.

  • New UIs and ambience music for all factions.
  • New button for selecting our Faction Leaders, either by clicking it or by pressing F4.

---------Second Expansion Changes--------
  • Two New Factions: The City-State of Theramore and the Amani Trolls enter the fray.
  • Faction Leader System: Every faction now has a unique Faction Leader that can only be created once per game. If another player on the map has the same faction and creates the Faction Leader first, you will lose the ability to create that leader. Therefore, it is recommended to play with different factions. As you know, the Lich King will be especially powerful, featuring both land and flying animations. He is designed to feel like an end-game scenario. Faction Leaders will also have a special indicator when they are created.
  • Two New Tavern Heroes
  • Reworked Darkspear Buildings.
  • And last but not least, 4 new maps: (2) Terenas Stand, (4) Borderlands, (6) Dustwallow Marsh, and (12) Icecrown. All maps have been adjusted to properly accommodate our mod.

---------First Expansion Changes--------
  • All our factions have been reworked. This means we’ve recalculated stats and rebalanced units and abilities based on new faction and racial traits, inspired by campaign stats and World of Warcraft lore. For example, the Scarlet Crusade now focuses more on healing and reviving their units. Another example is the Tauren, who now use a caravan system that allows them to relocate most of their base. Additionally, all Tauren units can be resurrected by a Spirit Walker. These are just a few of the many changes waiting to be explored.
  • We’ve also introduced new elite units and upgradable units for each race. This feature further diversifies the factions. For instance, the High Elves are now more focused on their archers.
  • Almost all of our factions now have unique icons for their upgrades.
  • A new neutral building, the Goblin Bank, has been added. It allows players to trade gold for wood and vice versa. Of course, since goblins are greedy, there’s a small commission based on the bundle size you choose to exchange.
  • Racial and faction traits are now fully implemented. Every faction in our mod has its own unique Faction trait. For example, Zandalari Troll units have traits based on the Loa they worship.
  • The Scourge now have two new heroes: the Boneguard and the Necrolord.
  • We’ve also added a new experimental Tavern hero, the Justicar. Upon learning his ultimate ability, he change appearance and movement speed to match his new form.
  • And last but not least, a new faction enters the fray: the Darkspear Trolls.

Step 1
Download both parts of the installer from Age of Warcraft Mod Installer.

Step 2
Before installing the mod, unzip the Age_of_Warcraft_installer_0.2.0_part_1 & Age_of_Warcraft_installer_0.2.0_part_2. Then take the Age_of_Warcraft_helper folder from Age_of_Warcraft_installer_0.2.0_part_2 and place it to the Age_of_Warcraft_installer_0.2.0_part_1 folder

Step 3
Uninstall any previous installation.

Step 4
Run the Age_of_Warcraft_installer.exe from the Age_of_Warcraft_installer_0.2.0_part_1 folder.
The Second Expansion, 0.2.0, is for patch 2.0.4+

Step 5
Be sure that your game is located in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III, if not then click on browse and locate your Warcraft III folder.

Step 6
Wait till the installation is finished and enjoy the Mod!


---------- How to uninstall the mod ----------

Either from the installer or the Programs and Features, you can uninstall the mod. This process doesn't delete the replaceable textures or affect any folder of other mods or projects.

---------- Known Issues ----------

Sometimes, if you run one of our maps that has more than four players and successfully complete the game, trying to play one of our maps again may cause the game to crash. All you need to do is restart the game to play again. As of now, we don't know exactly what causes this issue; it started happening after patch 1.36.2.

Hello guys, I'm running into a little bit of a frustrating issue here. I've taken screenshots of the game files in order for you to check that everything is going well and in place. I'm trying to install the new Age of Warcraft, but it's not installing for a reason. I've followed all the steps, and I've taken screenshots to make sure everything is okay. I actually had the previous version installed normally, but I deleted it to install the new one, but it's not getting installed. Please help me solve the issue and tell me any useful ideas.
So my Warcraft file is in the fdiskv folder, and as you can see in the screenshots, I have all of the folders installed in the Warcraft folder. I took the helper folder from the 0.2.0 part 2 and pasted it inside of the helper of part one. I took a screenshot after the paste.

When I browse and click the Warcraft 3 folder in the F and click Accept and Install, it prompts the message in the screenshot saying, "Are you sure you want to cancel a job for craft installation?" When I press No, it takes me to the same page of installation. When I say Yes, it tells me to finish. AND THE LOOP KEEPS REPEATING. thank you

my warcraft reforged version is above 2.0.....
Look at the 1st screeenshot. You put your installer folder inside your game root. And there's game files for CSW and Quenching.

I would advise not installing this mod along with the other mods (like CSW and Quenching) as that can conflict with game logic, especially AI script.
 
if i deleted the CSW, it will get installed?

From my observation, Re-Reforged isn't compatible with the other mods that overwrite game data in the "retail" folder.

For Quenching and VisionMod, you have to install both since some VisionMod game data will affect the Quenching ones.

If you want to disable the mod, you can just simply set "Allow Local Files" registry to 0. That might corrupt the game, though. I highly suggest remove the mod completely and use the "Scan & Repair" feature in Battle.net.
 
Hey G, I think that's so technical for me. To be honest, I just can't remember how I installed the older version of AGE OF WarCraft. It was installed perfectly, and it was working with the Chronicles of Second War extension or mod, so I just wanted to do the same for this new WarCraft update.

Apart from that, in my screenshots, were there any missing or wrong steps I made during the installation?

Should I try downloading part 1 alone and part 2 alone? Will that matter in any of the steps, or should I re-download the main folder again, the one with both parts together?

Hey there. The only time we have seen a similar problem was when some of the files became corrupted during extraction.

I think that if you extract the files again anywhere on your computer and run the installer once more, it should work fine. You do not need to place the installer inside the Warcraft III folder.

Also, if you want to extract the installer into the same location as before, make sure to delete the previously extracted files first.

Our mod does not conflict with other people’s work, and that is unrelated to this issue. The problem is that the installer is not working properly for him.

Then try to download it again. It’s possible that the ZIP file got corrupted while being downloaded through your browser, and we have seen this happen before.

Download the full package again. Normally this should not happen and your antivirus should warn you beforehand, although we have encountered issues in the past with AVG. Some antivirus software identifies the installer’s publisher as unknown and blocks it because of that.
We do not encounter this problem with Windows Defender. You can also scan the files after extracting them if you want additional confirmation that everything is fine.

done everything from scratch, same results after clicking accept, i deleted CSW and reinstalled it it worked perfectly , so i can check that everything is good. i had the old AOW working perfect but i deleted it to install this one, even after deleting , its saved files work but ofcourse with no units or textures appearing since i deleted it, is there any different thing that needs to be done like the old installation? is there any differences between the old launcher and new launcher installation ways?

The issue seems to be that the antivirus is blocking the installer. You allowed it to run, good, but you work on windows 11, so try restarting your PC first. If the problem persists, join our Discord server so we can assist you more directly there.

I may be wrong, but it seems as if you did not fix anything regarding balance and the Lich King. That would be a shame. I will test later and confirm if yes or no. I had suggested some sort of nerfing, not adding building to summon the kill-all machine he was last patch... At any rate, I'd like to suggest a few more things:

Please make sure the Ranger Captain's summoned Dragonhawk can attack at level two; I've found it can attack at lvl 1, then not at lvl 2, and then again at lvl 3. Regardless of it being the Blood or High Elf version.

2, from old patches, there's this issue where the 2nd summoned hero appears BEFORE the 1st summoned and trained one. This is too different from the regular unmodded game, is cumbersome, bothersome and an issue to play like this, especially in high stakes, quick reflexes situations.

3, the Faction Leaders should have a button of their own! And please make them appear before all else on the command cards, but, if possible, provide them with a single central button to select and such, to cast spells on and so on and so forth. Like the ones regular heroes have, but bigger and more central, like that special ability in WoW, that appears at the mere centre of the screen, but a bit lowered. That would kick a*s! Yes, I was aware of that. I only played night elves vs. undead, in a 1v1 match, at the time though. I assumed initially, that it was because I was on one of sancmair's maps, but I did a booty bay match after that one and still couldn't see Tyrande. But I can see her, and other leaders now.
Your first thought was the right one. The maps I posted here are outdated. They use the previous version of the mod, 0.1.1 I believe, not the current one with Theramore, the Amani and the faction leaders. Thank you a lot for testing, if possible please tell me the FPS, Frames Per Second you ran it at. I think I put too many doodads in them and they don't run too well. I'll keep that in mind for the Eversong Woods version of that north-facing bay. Cheers and blessings.

Lich King will not be nurfed, we added a ritual that costs 500 gold and 300 wood and you need also 70 seconds to complete it. Then you need 1800 gold and 500 wood and also another 70 seconds to summon Lich King and all that at lvl 3 base. So I think now it is pretty balanced, as all the players can make more troops and their Leader before someone can summon Lich King. Lich King is meant to be a powerful end boss.

Here I dont really get what are you saying. You mean that they revive the second hero before the first one?

As for the leaders we will bring them in the front of the que, but it is difficult to have a separated icon to click them. They also have a large symbol in the minimap, so i don't think it is easy to loose them.
 
Not easy to loose them on the field of battle, but not easy to click on them either, or to buff them or heal them with Holy Light for instance, if needed, which is actually possible with all other heroes when pointing at their portrait on the upper left, as you know.

No, not about revival times or the order it is done in. I mean, on the selection cards at the bottom of the screen, where selection groups are displayed and such, the Faction Leader should be placed before all else. But for some, it is the last selected unit in fact which may not be as bad because of shift-tab, or even worse, the previous to last or else. They don't appear to have a particular prio order, which makes it hard to manage them, unless you ctrl-2-3-and-4 all unit groups and put them in ctrl-1 exclusively or any other such trick.

About the Lich King, when you say players can recruit more (TONS MORE!) unit, you mean units to be slaughtered by the LK... He is simply too much, 1 or 2 of his abilities can wipe out entire armies, and he has not even started taking any damage... About other faction leaders, they will have any backup killed very fast, and will not withstand much time against him, maybe 30 secs until all their abilities are spent and their HP is dropped down to zero. So, yes I understand completely he's meant to be a "powerful end boss", but too much is too much, this is an RTS, not the MMO... what happens in a 1v1? There's simply no hope against him, I bet you know that in fact... Not criticizing just because here, FYI, just meaning to give you useful info and feedback. As it stands, a 1v1 vUD is IMPOSSIBLE. Edit: I got the two issues mixed up. Apologies. What I mean is: You start a match with the High Elves for instance. You train a Swordmaster hero. You train archers and footmen. You advance to age two and train an Archmage. When selected, the SM should be at slot 1, the AM at slot 2. As is usual with the game. But no, for some reason the AM goes to slot 1 in front of all other units. So on and so forth. That is the nuance I was referring to. TY.

Edit 2: In first Edit, I meant in the selection cards. 2nd hero is placed BEFORE 1st hero, which should not be.

Sorry for double posting. About Faction Leaders, I feel like they should be the center of gameplay at late-game stage. So, to give them any sort of button would be great, but an actual big central button would be better. Could be right below day/night indicator. Could be greyed out when not present, and active and colourful and even shining when she or he, is. That's just me.

One tiny bit about hippogryphs and mana wyrms: I feel (also) that their shape without the actual seats research done but still displaying them is inaccurate. If it has not been researched, they should not be visible. If they are merely air support. Otherwise, when researched, the current model looks fine. Or, if there was no need to actually research it, then the seats would make sense as default.

Hey Sancmair, this is the installer page for the mod, where we mainly help people with installation problems.

It would be better to post something like a map you made either here: Warcraft 3 Custom Maps (multiplayer, campaigns, etc.) or, if you think that would be awkward because of the dependency on the mod, then in our Discord server.

Here, most likely only a handful of people will see your post, and they are probably here because they are having trouble with the installer. So chances are they will not pay much attention to it.

Hello again... any idea why (top left)? It was all fine while QM was active and settings were at the highest in-game, now that I lowered them and deactivated Quenching Mod, bam, most icons are green-screen style.

That mod completely deletes the ReplaceableTextures folder inside the retail directory when it is uninstalled. As a result, whenever you uninstall that mod, you have to reinstall any other campaigns or mods that you want to keep using.

I'm afraid I've had that happen to me too. As soon as the bar fills and I hit a key to continue, the game crashes with an "unexpected error."

Don't worry, we will fix it in the next update but just so that you know, here we report errors for the installer and so on. To report a problem for this patch you must head to our project page and write it in the appropriate patch page.
