Why? The current moderators aren't biased against GUI, they approve stuff made from GUI triggers as long as it follows the site standards.

I started out as a GUI only spell moderator.

GUI spells are often faster to review.

Do you guys think we need another spell moderator? I haven't been very active for the past month due to work. But now I have more time and have reviewed 20+ spells in only a few days and with this pace there won't be many pending spells anymore.

Oh, well it was just an idea because I figured most people who learn JASS and become mods end up not wanting to read GUI.
personally, once you learn and understand JASS or even basic vJASS, coding in GUI become suck for its limitation, especially now with the need to use indexing in GUI, that's pain to read.

about the topic on GUI spell moderator, if current mod and the community felt this amount of review progress is enough with amount of submitted spells, both GUI or JASS etc, there is no need for new mod. even if there's need for a new mod, it better be not just GUI specific moderator.

I just wish if its necessary for a new mod, please take action quickly. really don't want another spells section purge like last time. A lot of old good spells got purged.

I see..... so everybody's against it. Alright sorry for suggesting the idea... =(

Don't feel bad about it, all suggestions deserve the light of day. :) We always encourage you to make suggestions, because we'll often overlook things. This was a valid suggestion too, we just don't happen to need a GUI-specific mod at the moment.

If we lose a spell mod and there aren't qualified people to moderate both JASS and GUI, we'll definitely look into a GUI-specific mod. At the moment, there isn't a need for it. The spells section was packed a little while ago because Mag has been a bit inactive, Maker was busy, and I was inactive until the 25th. But we're back on track (esp. thanks to Maker). I reviewed a little batch, and then Maker reviewed a bunch, so we're down to ~1 page. :D
