1.32.7 PATCH NOTES

Blizzard said: blizzarrow.gif

June 29, 2020 - PTR
July 7, 2020 - LIVE

CAMPAIGN

  • The score screen for campaign missions now accurately displays time elapsed during that mission.

CUSTOM GAMES

  • Fixed an issue that was causing default loading screen text to display on custom loading screens.
  • Fixed an issue in the user interface during Custom Games creation that caused the IME indicator to not display.

GAMEPLAY

  • Fixed a desync that occurred when a player in Classic mode and a player in Reforged mode were in a game with a unit that is both bloodlusted and hexed or polymorphed.
  • Fixed an issue where Anasterian Sunstrider would sometimes use Death Knight Arthas’s model in Reforged mode.

VERSUS

  • Frost Wyrm illusion auto attacks no longer apply the frost breath passive.
    • Developers’ notes: Having illusions apply a slowing effect on auto attack was unintentionally added recently. This fix shouldn’t have much effect on balance overall.

USER INTERFACE

  • Music on the score screen now only plays once.

These patch notes have to be a joke surely.

I've got my problems with Reforged but I'm giving the classic team the benefit of the doubt. With patch notes like this though I'm not sure how much further I can support them without some kind of communication like was promised.

Seriously? Even primary school children are told to avoid the repetition of sentence starters.
The same sentence starters are used 3 times; this reflects Blizzard's lack of competence.
EDIT:
And why is the word 'issue' repeated more than 2 times? They should have used a thesaurus to make sure their writing has a range of vocabulary.

Well, that was boring. I'm starting think Blizzards plan to fix Reforged is to have everyone go into the Emerald Dream for some 10.000 years then wake up and still you got more problems. probably in the shape of a new burning legion invasion.

That's not an ideal format. Wc3, one of the best games ever created, deserves better language and structure for its patch notes!
Right now you're just trying too hard to find a reason to hate on Reforged devs
Tbh, that is 100% correct :)
EDIT:
I was finding a random reason to hate blizz but I think they really should change the structure of wc3 patch notes. Wc3 deserves more respect from Blizz!

I don't love/hate reforged but I find this patch note quiet sad compared to the previous ones,
Only seven changes made within 40 days. Maybe it's because of the covid situation ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Meanwhile Shadowlands is still on track to be released by the end of the year as employees work from home.
Yes, but we can't really compare the two. While Shadowlands obviously has less budget(and probably even team) than previous expansions, that's why less content than both Legion and BFA, I'm quite certain that SL have like 10x team and budget than that of WC3R, if not even more. At this point I'm pretty sure that even HotS, a game killed by Blizzard and officially put on maintenance mode, still has both larger team and budget than WC3R.

In my eyes you are banned blizzard

This issue probably took the majority of the 1 month to fix. It would be a nightmare to pinpoint this as a desync, but it probably accounts for a large number of the desyncs in mass strategy maps.

Here's the deal, at this rate, if Blizzard doesn't do a 180... and i mean a real one, not just bringing back what we had for 18 years. a real 180 with a fresh air of new marketing to the core community in upcoming Blizzcons. in a year or 2.

The Community is pretty much going to implode out of boredom, time and lack of interest. and be a shell of its already shell shocked former self.

Idk what they gonna do, maybe they gotta make a deal with the Troll Loas. i don't really care. just... un-fuck this mess, respect the vanilla game in Classic Mode, and actually improve upon the game.

Do we got a deal Blizzard ? :vw_death:

I think the issue is that the Classic Team is heavily understaffed, this is... Blizzards fault ofc. This patch was good, but every patch is good. problem is the speed and the content within it. and if Blizzard doesn't want to put in more people to help about the Classic Team and their efforts. they're really just voting for the demise of the game. and the classic team and the core community are powerless against it.

if Pete Stilwell introduced D2 remake at their online blizz-con this year
Next year. Also, according to leaks - D2 Remastered is made by Vicarious Visions, a studio directly under Activision, so I doubt Pete Stilwell or the rest of Reforged team have anything to do with that, which... actually gives me hope that D2 Remastered might be decent.

D2 Remastered is made by Vicarious Visions
This studio is also responsible for Reforged's development as evidenced by Reforged credits.
It's possible that both Classic Games Team and this studio are working together on D2 Remaster just like they worked on Reforged.

Btw, the Quake II RTX remaster looks hot.
They [Nvidia] should remaster wc3 like that, with modern ray tracing but same old school models.

You do realise that legaly only Blizzard can Remaster Wc3 and that it's not gonna happen. Refunded was their attempt to revitalise Wc3 with modern graphics, and after it failed miserably(99% cause of their mismanagement) they won't be doing another for at least another 18 years. (and most probably never ever ever)

Nvidia doesn't own the Quake franchise, they bought the rights to make a remaster. Similarly, they--or AMD or Intel--can buy the rights to remaster wc3 with modern tech.
We all know that Blizz only looks at: '$$$'. If big bucks are paid to them then sure Blizz will sell Nvidia the rights to distribute wc3.
Its also worth mentioning that Quake II RTX is free, with no microtransactions, while Reforged is 30 bucks
EDIT: I was wrong, confused Quake with the Gears of War franchise.

RIP WC2 remake (which I would have prefered over a WC3 remake to begin with but whatever).

Quake II has been free and open source under GPL for nearly a decade. Anyone is free to create a remaster as long as they publish the source code.
Here is the RTX version: NVIDIA/Q2RTX

Most games don't go open source after their prime - wc3 is no exception.

Well, supposed errors will now be corrected, hopefully this can be modified in the future with conditions in the skills.

You do realize that by selling them the rites to distribute wc3, they'd also sell them the rights to distribute both World of Warcraft and Hearthstone, and maybe even Heroes of the Storm. And make them earn on WoW where some mounts co$t up to $weet 60$, and let's not even mention the $weet $ub$cription$, level boo$t$, race tran$fer$ etc.....and Hearth$tone where a single boo...ughm, ughm card pack co$t$ up to 100+$.......yeah not gonna happen.

The contract will be crafted for wc3 only, not the whole Warcraft franchise.
For example by letting EA distribute wc2 on PlayStation (back in the 1990s): Blizzard did not allow them to publish and sell every Warcraft product...It was only for wc2.
