I've now started to understand people who find anime fkd up, as I've just been left mentally damaged and scarred for life. I have witnessed the lowest level of anime that makes you want to drink off what's left of your brain cells in the hopes of forgetting it all (right after rating the filth 1/10 on MAL ofc).
pull in some more retard 1.28 croneys of yours, one of em that can present a real argument.

I don't need any more "retard croneys" when I have one who can't read right here.
    Thanks for showing your appreciation

I know. That is the reason why I mentioned hardware controllers, and antique mobo sockets.
I have never seen the option in the BIOS to low-level format a HDD, on Pentium II-class hardware and above.

The last time I did that, I used the BIOS, not debug. That was a veeeery long time ago.

I am more or less twice your age.

Btw, it is fairly obvious that you are not 73. Nor are you more than a century old, as was written in 2016 on your Profile.

I have had some issues with XenForo where attaching files while editing the post takes forever (and doesn't finish), so I instinctively just create a new post if I am attaching a file, then delete the previous one and put its contents to a new file. I am not sure if this issue happens on THW, but I never actually even wondered about it.

Well, that's what the "as long as it does not seriously inconvenience me" part goes. I can't honestly claim to give a shit about the world that generally doesn't give a shit about me, and I find it insane that people do.

But I still need the world around me, so I'd prefer the parts that are necessary for my (relative) well being to exist. I won't invest in them, though, since I do not have a strong enough will to live anyways. If things I depend on fail, I won't put up a fight.

if you are going to devote your time to anything devote it to yourself. create something you can appreciate without the approval of others. or go open source and add something unique to an existing project that people can truly appreciate.

the Hive will never appreciate true talent. they have an anarchy system that prevent anyone not in their clique, from earning any gratitude. they will mock you for what you plan to accomplish. they will tell you it is impossible... and then when you accomplish it they will say no one wants it anyway. it is extremely frustrating and you shouldn't make yourself a part of that

    good luck and good bye"

    HappyTauren

The percentage of people who do commit suicide and die to drugs is still way lower than the old percentage of child mortality. So, more people live nowadays, and are better off, too. The number of luxuries the poorest people in the developed world can afford nowadays (not only talking about monetary luxuries) puts them on a much higher level than the poor people of the ages past.

Just checked up your facts and you are right, the dead rate for teens has dropped from 1980 being 100 teens per ever thousand, to 2015 being 20 teens every thousand.

Where as available jobs have dropped from, 1974 being 55% employment to currently 35%

Though this may be due to the teens just being incredibly lazy now days

The point of my last statement is that it is too late by that point

once you decrypt the first file, you can not then re-encrypt it since the hash code would have now changed. The hashcode being the same key needed to decrypt the second file which will now be impossible to retrieve ever again.

The only way to see the hash code is to change the hashcode... lol so again impossible

My programs are able to use the hashcode as an encryption key because they are doing so from inside the program, it is impossible to do so from outside

Well, the thing with wurst is, it is the only coding language for wc3 that you can create great things in BECAUSE of it, and not DESPITE it. Both jass and vjass have glaring structural flaws, and wurst allows people who can use good programming practices to accomplish what they want, as fast as possible. It's just a joy to work in. Imagine using mspaint your whole life, then someone buys you a copy of photoshop and a good quality tablet. Even if you don't know how to use any of that yet, when you learn it, your results will be way better than what you could've done in paint and with a mouse previously.
    PrinceYaser
    PrinceYaser
Wow! So it's definitely a revolution!

Btw, is it needed to learn JASS before learning Wurst?
    HappyTauren
    HappyTauren
There are no "absolute beginner" tutorials for Wurst yet, so learning jass/vjass is helpful to get a feel for how the language(s) works. After that, wurst is an upgrade that makes everything easier, faster and beter. Overall it's not that you need to learn jass specifically (aside from some basics like how triggers, handles, etc, work in wc3), you need to understand programming.

The greatest issue is that wurst forces a lot of re-learning if you are used to jass/vjass, so it's easier to transition from a language like Java to Wurst than it is to transition from Jass to wurst, in a way.

Still, learning jass from scratch + upgrading to wurst is definitely possible with the width and breadth of information regarding jass nowadays, and shouldn't take years, and if you're serious about programming, jass -> wurst -> everything else is a good starting point.
Are you familiar with Wurst? Or have you stopped coding for warcraft 3?
    BloodSoul
    BloodSoul
Thank you very much for your kind words, and I feel extremely encouraged in learning more about Wurst! For now I'll try to read as much of its documentation; Good thing that there's a lot of information in the standard lib too.
    HappyTauren
    HappyTauren
Yeah, reading stdlib is a good place to start after you've gone through the manual. Unfortunately, there's too little of us to keep the manual updated, while at the same time mapping, doing other things in life, and updating wurst/stdlib, so the manual is incomplete, which is one more reason why I'm offering help to anyone who stumbles upon something, especially if not covered by the manual.
    BloodSoul
    BloodSoul
Indeed. I forgot about it not being complete yet. Even though, it provides lots of helpful information, I reckon. Heh... it looks well explained even for beginners at programming for now. However, if I come across something that I don't get it, I'll try to ask you. Thanks!
    HappyTauren
    HappyTauren
How many irregularities do you hear in what I sent you?

The point is that it won't be audible in the mix, and reaper has a mix feature where you can easily blend two samples together to produce a continuous sound, and you can easily cut transients if there are any. This really doesn't take any time, you just drag and drop them together and you're done.

I mean, even actual CLIPPING (as in, distorted signal) is present to a huge degree in my mix. Do you realize I snapped almost 30 db off the snare's attack? Or that I snapped 12db of the kick's attack? I did this to increase headroom and make attacks less jarring. It allowed me to make a much denser mix without sacrificing the arrangement.
    deepstrasz
    deepstrasz
    That reaper sounds pretty useful.
    HappyTauren
    HappyTauren
It's a top tier DAW, comparable in quality to protools, nuendo, cubase, reason, FL, etc, and it is only really cheap f you even need to buy it (and most people even don't, since it only matters if you sell things commercially, since reaper doesn't stop you from using the software past the trial period (and even the trial version is 100% unblocked).

In my opinion, if you're on a budget, there's literally no reason to not use reaper - and even if you're a fully fleshed out pro, reaper can do everything you need most of the time.

(Post) Macross Frontier? I remember that song was included in one of the PSP game, but it was fast paced, probably a remix... I also liked 愛・おぼえていますか track.
Something funny I found when going through the wurst manual, it does not mention leaks.
Does that mean I do not have to null local variables? same for destroying local groups
    HappyTauren
    HappyTauren
Oh and one more reason, group.kill() would mean literally "this group, destroy", and not "kill all units inside yourself", and since you thought this would be a good idea, it isn't immediately apparent how it looks to other people.

And no, group.kill() is in no way more readable than

    for u in group
    u.kill()

    that's an insane idea.

Having a lot of methods that are bad alternatives to good practices is unanimously bad. Or else the cpp stdlib would be good :'(
    Chaosy
    Chaosy
That is more of a naming problem. killUnits() could work if that was the only issue.

But it is not the only issue, so whatever.
    HappyTauren
    HappyTauren
    Well, yeah.

I used to think that what I was doing in Java was object oriented programming, until I learned SmallTalk. It's THE OOP language, so it teaches you all of those practices, and why to use them. I suggest you giving it a go if you want, it'll help you structure your code in the OOP mindset a whole lot more, and if you're studying soft engineering or anything related to programming, it'll give you a serious edge over people who don't know SmallTalk, ironically not because everyone is looking out to employ SmallTalk programmers, but because it forces you to write really good OOP code so you have an edge in all other languages that use OOP principles.
